Palace Fails to Provide Quality Public Facilities – 2019 FIBA World Cup Hosting Bid

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Horrendous traffic, inefficient roads connecting hotels to venues, inadequate infrastructure, to name a few, according to veteran sports analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz are some of the reasons why Philippines’ lost to China in the 2019 FIBA World Cup hosting bid. This was published via CNN Philippines’ News Portal.

Malacanang Palace’s responses were a bit arrogant – that we can put our head up high? They put their best foot forward? Those can all be found in this separate news release of CNN Philippines.

This is actually a wake up call to the Aquino administration that the international bodies support Vice President Binay’s claim that the government failed to prioritize their basic duty – which is to provide public services to their citizens as he emphasized in his True SONA; service, service, service!

When it is true that the delegation headed by Secretaries Albert del Rosario and Ramon Jimenez, and Mr. Manuel V. Pangilinan with Hollywood star Lou Diamond Phillips, who was part of his delegation and boxing star Manny Pacquiao really did their best – there’s nothing much they can do when our public utilities are compared to China’s. Reality really bites and this is just the beginning.
