No more ex-President to Jail…Heal: Estrada, Arroyo then who?

Former Philippine President Gloria Arroyo wasarrested in hospital on plunder charges for allegedly misusing state funds while in office. Mrs Arroyo, who is accused of diverting $8.8m (£5.5m) from the state lottery charity fund for personal gain. However, as her jailer’s term President Aquino is ending, she has been acquitted from various cases. Will she regain back her life spent in proson? She was an expert economist better than her peers, why didn’t Pnoy used her brilliance? She is totally wasted!

The Sandiganbayan ruled Estrada not guilty of perjury while ruling him as guilty of plunder and sentenced him to reclusión perpetua. All of his co-accused were acquitted. He was later pardoned by then President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Estrada’s techniques worked in retaining peace in Mindanao with his operations against the NPAs or the rebels. He won again during the resident election as Manila mayor. He should have served in the Peace and Order Department than waste his time in jail.


One of the country’s most prominent lawmakers, Iloilo Rep. Augusto “Boboy” Syjuco Jr., filed a case against Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III at the Office of the Ombudsman for an alleged Plunder over the misused of the P220 billion pork barrel funds. When will this plunder cases stop against former presidents? When will healing comes when some people wanted to hear is “Pnoy to Jail”. Time to break the chain. If proven guilty, he should serve the country for such number of years without compensation – in a department where his expertise is evident. Why waste a man who just did the best based on what he can? If he failed, then blame the people who voted for him. As for Pnoy, he’s single so going to jail is handy for him.
