The Philippine International Convention Center or PICC in Pasay City was the venue of the recent Cabinet meeting under the administration of President-elect Rodrigo Dutertet. Without no known agenda, the briefing was conducted yesterday to prepare themselves for the challenges ahead. It started around 6:00 p.m. with Duterte’s arrival from Bataan. Presidential Communications Operations Office chief Martin Andanar assured the media that he and incoming Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea would soon be entertaining press questions after the getting-to-know each other gathering.
Andanar disclosed that it was a compulsory meeting among the members of the cabinet. Incoming presidential spokesman Sal Panelo and Medialdea also confirmed to the press people that there was no agenda known prior to the call but welcomes the opportunity to familiarize each Duterte appointees.
Incoming Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, Education Secretary Leonor Briones, Budget Secretary Ben Diokno, Panelo, Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo and incoming Philippine National Police Chief Ronald Dela Rosa were seen arriving at the venue as reported by CNN.
