Duterte: Strongman Marcos Fought Gallantly During Japanese Occupation

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
President Rodrigo Duterte made it clear that he is allowing the burial of strongman ex President Ferdinand E. Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani because he was a Filipino soldier. No matter what the critics say, he fought for the Filipinos.

Anti Marcos Rodriguez criticized the Martial rule during Marcos’ time in the 1970s and even attempted to discredit the former President as a military man. Rodriguez even vowed to campaign their advocacy to reeducate younger generation about Martial Law – but with the internet age, the young ones would know better than them that they are just influenced by the media propaganda that the late Ninoy Aquino initiated against Marcos.

She claimed that her group was led by the late Sen. Jovito Salonga and will continue to fight against this plan. Salonga was also a palace hopeful after Cory’s term but was not supported by then friend Cory Aquino who became her worst enemy – then even revised his testimony against Aquino. Perhaps Rodriguez was not updated about Salonga’s change of heart.
