Former Vice President Jejomar Binay’s daughter was enthusiastic in saying that after June 30, her father can already move into the expanded SPCMB office – despite not planning for it. It kind of fell into place; said Nancy. SPCMB, was not spared in the senate probe’s scrutiny during the campaign period but the allegations just died down.
Once again he will hold an office at the Makati-based law firm he co-founded; the Subido, Pagente, Certeza, Mendoza and Binay or SPCMB law office in short. Binay was on leave from the SPCMB when he ran in the 2016 presidential elections. Before becoming Vice President and Makati mayor for 21 years, Binay was known as a tough human rights lawyer who represented the political detainees during the Martial Law years.
However, he is not into the law practice anymore. He will serve as its adviser because he already refrained from doing litigations; said Binay. His daughter, Senator Nancy Binay, was pleased with its “good timing” now that the SPCMB already has a bigger headquarters.
