Outgoing Vice President Jejomar Binay and President-elect Rodrigo Duterte might have the same goals as far as how to make Philippines better – but they just have different ways, at least character-wise. This can be clearly seen through continuous exclusion of Robredo during Duterte’s incoming administration meeting.
The good V.P. Binay, who is known for his calm and polite manner wrote to his successor Vice President-elect Leni Robredo despite the confusion on her actual status brought about by Bongbong Marcos’ electoral protest and LP’s failure to submit their SOCE on time.
The letter says; “I look forward to personally meeting you. For the past six years, and besides its modest budget, the OVP has extended assistance to thousands of poor and marginalized Filipinos, including our brothers and sisters working abroad. I am confident that with you as the next Vice President, the OVP will continue to be an instrument of social justice.” A kind gesture that did not escape Robredo’s daughter Aika’s attention and she tweeted thanking Binay for his “so gracious” action towards her mother.
