Hillary Clinton’s Sincerity on Economic Plan Questioned by Donald Trump

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton declared that she would oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a 12-nation trade pact that is a top priority of President Barack Obama. “I oppose it now. I’ll oppose it after the election, and I’ll oppose it as president,” said the former secretary of state. She said this while laying out her economic plans.

Trump responded by questioning her sincerity: “If she were ever in a position to approve it, she would approve it in two minutes,” he said.

Clinton disclosed her economic plan after criticizing Trumps plan of cutting taxes and regulation while advancing a more protectionist trade policy. She described Trump’s revamped tax policy as a “regressive windfall for the wealthiest Americans”.

Here’s what Trump has to say if clinton wins: “enjoy your tax increase, folks,” he said. “It’s going to be four more years of Obama, but it’ll be worse.”

Clinton has unveiled numerous vital policy proposals on infrastructure, taxes, family-friendly workplace policies and college education, and she urged Trump’s camp to set sharp goals for the average worker.

But all Trump could do is to malign the credibility of Clinton saying she can’t be trusted to follow through on her promises because she was being pulled to the left by alleged younger voters who favored Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary while she is being captured by her donors.

Clinton in return stressed that Trump’s proposal to repeal the estate tax “would do nothing for 99.8% of Americans”.
