Imee Marcos on Burial: FVR Was Followed, It’s Duterte’s Time Now

Imee Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Imee Marcos explains that during FVR’s time, the family respected the then president’s decision not to create chaos by giving the late strongman a state funeral and was not even given the chance to be paraded among his many supporters. Now, it’s Duterte’s time and the president said, it’s okay to honor him as deemed appropriate by the family. So, can this be respected as well?

Let the New Generation Judge

The Millenials are well informed and all information are accessible to them. Let them judge according to what they know. It is unfair to just side the 10,000 alleged martial law victims when there are more that 34 million people waiting for the proper state burial of the former president Ferdinand Marcos.

Respected the Opinion but they have the Right to be Wrong Too

All criticisms from the anti-Marcos people have been heard. Can they be fair in hearing the other side as well? Their opinions were already celebrated thus taking this long to bury the late president. Let the legal cases continue if there are but the burial must happen at any time soon. Critics can also fact check what they know because they have the right to be wrong too.

All Criticisms Have Been Heard, Now, it’s Marcos’ Time

Accusations, calling him names and condemning him were already done. Now it’s Marcos’ time as supported by his many supporters to be allowed to mourn and see their former president laid to rest as a soldier, statesman, secretary of national defense and medal of valor recipient.

Marcos has the right to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani

Imee Marcos was so humble when making a plea to allow the upcoming burial of her late father at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. She said, that it will be a simple ceremony that the late president wished for – to be beside his comrades during the World War 2 battles. Now, can the Marcos supporters allow him to be buried just like that? There will be no major preparations required but it is certain that wherever the remains of the late president passes, there will be many supporters waiting, watching and praying for him and the Philippines. Is this what critics are trying to stop?
