True to Seator Migz Zubiri’s disclosure that Trillanes is all talk to destroy a public official, the Sandiganbayan issued a status of pending corruption cases. It shows ongoing trials for Senator Juan Ponce, Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla and more. However, when it comes to former Vice President Jejomar Binay, the corruption cases filed remain as is. No movements after six months despite the very aggressive press releases by Senator Antonio Trillanes III.

[VIDEO]: Meanwhile, the Sandiganbayan is aiming to resolve more cases in 2017.
Former First Lady Imelda Marcos’ Cases
The update also includes 10 counts of graft against former First Lady Imelda Marcos and mother of Bongbong Marcos for allegedly creating private foundations in Switzerland and holding financial interests in several private enterprises when she was Governor of Manila from 1978-1984. The fifth division handles it. The last day of trial for the 25-year-old graft case is set for February 16. Contrary to Vice President Leni Robredo’s statement that she has no history of stealing but Bongbong Marcos does, the younger Marcos is not in the Sandiganbayan list. His mother also is acquitted in the past by the American court. Since these cases are 25 years old, they are now considered as cases of slow justice. The Present administration should already look into this.
Elenita Binay’s Case
The graft and malversation for the alleged irregular purchase of P45 million worth of beds and sterilizers for the Ospital ng Makati against ex-Makati Mayor Elenita Binay and wife of Former Vice President Jejomar Binay are tackled in the Special Third Division. The trial is set for January 24 and 25, 2017. Earlier, she is already acquitted of related charged pertaining to the furniture of the same hospital. This is expected to have the same judgment like the previous cases. Since there’s no more election, these accusations will eventually just die down. Remember Junjun Binay’s cases?
The Sandiganbayan Needs a Clean-up Drive
In the list, the status of Senator Gringo Honasan’s case says indicted. So, why is he not prosecuted if it really is so? Jejomar Binay’s case is already 6 months and there’s no verdict yet if there’s a probable cause for it to continue since Binay won the libel case against Trillanes and their major witness, Ernesto Mercado.
List of Cases Shows Slow Justice
Senator Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla are in jail despite the ongoing cases against them. No verdict yet but they are not free anymore whereas the convicted libelous senator Trillanes is still giving press interviews every now and then. Justice seems to be unfair up to this date.
