The President’s supporters from all over the country will gather at Rizal Park on February 25. This is for a vigil and rock concert in support of the war on drugs campaign and anti-corruption efforts of the administration. The Department of the Interior and Local Government or DILG confirms this event. This is just after Cabinet Secretary Ismael Sueno concedes to Bongbong Marcos should the rumor is true that Marcos is replacing him. The recent survey by the Social Weather Stations or SWS coincides with the event. Since Filipinos remain optimistic about the economy as well as their quality of life at the moment, a big crowd is likely to appear for the said activity.

Many are Positive with Future Economy
The optimism of Filipinos is on the economy that it improves in the next months. The SWS survey shows 51 percent of those poll participants believe that the economy gets better in the next 12 months. Only eight percent say that it can go worse. People from Mindanao are the most positive ones followed by the Visayans. It is not a surprise that this early, Muslim communities in Manila now start to accommodate guests. They are here to take part of the event.
Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park in Luneta Focus
DILG Assistant Secretary Epimaco Densing said that the Quirino Grandstand gathering focuses on other events aside from commemorating the 31st anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution. Pro-admin groups nationwide expect to join a vigil and rock concert on February 25 officially at 5:00 pm. This is just one big gathering that can start from the Quirino Grandstand but ends up occupying the whole Rizal Park or beyond in Luneta.
Visayas and Mindanao Attendees
Unlike the previous People Power revolution, Filipinos from the Visayas and Mindanao are keen in joining the crowd to support the President’s policies. The influx of domestic travelers from those regions is noted as early as 3 days before the event. Various small gatherings are also seen in places like Baclaran, Taguig, and where Muslim communities reside.
Massive Turnout from the Bihomadu Alliance
The president already has a big crowd during the election campaign. However, this time, his crowd is not only solid Digong groups. The Bihomadu alliance organizes their own initiatives to add to the volume of people needed to see how much support the president gets from ordinary people.
