Australian Accent Attemp by a Filipino-Thai Immitator

By: Elena Grace Flores
It was surprising to find this long lost video that my son Sithikohn Thaworn made after one of the typhoons in Manila – that flooded our village in Makati. He was trying to imitate the accent of an Australian Broadcaster. This only proves that speaking in different languages can be learned – including of course the accent:

His training as a call center agent probably helped a lot in his speaking skills and of course his various stints in international schools in the Philippines and Thailand. He was born in Bangkok but grew up here in the Manila from Thai and Filipino parents. Now, soon to be graduating from Broadcasting, I wonder what he will do next but for sure, he will do well!
