Better Conference Calls
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made better conference calls when he meets with his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo during his inaugural state visit in Jakarta. He spearheads ASEAN as the champion for peace not just in the region but in the world.
The Role of ASEAN
President Marcos said that they both agreed that ASEAN will be the lead agent in the changes that they would like to see in bringing peace to each country. Task forces are already in place at a technical level to take the opportunities available to the group. These are indeed better conference calls.
Going Out of the Pandemic Together
Peace is vital in going out of the pandemic together, added Marcos. He admits that he made the right decision in prioritizing Jakarta during his state visit. He swears that the visit is only the beginning. Partnerships abound in many aspects and areas in the ASEAN community.
