Bongbong Marcos Declares Presidential Run but No Party Yet
The presidential run of Bongbong Marcos is now certain. His father’s KBL party already nominated him. He was thankful for the nomination but did not clearly accept it. Earlier the Federal support of President Rodrigo Duterte endorses him. PFP or Partidong Federal ng Pilipinas was the first party to endorse Marcos. However, he swears to follow the vision of the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan initiated by the late President Ferdinand Marcos. The Maharlika Movement also endorses his candidacy.
PDP-Laban Still in the Picture
The President’s PDP-Laban which is the Cusi faction is still in the picture. This is to fully materialize the Marcos-Duterte tandem made in heaven originally with Inday Sara. Duterte already signed his Vice presidential bid. But Bong Go refuses to run as President. Just prior to the KBL nomination, PDP-Laban expresses their desire to welcome Marcos as their new member.
Substitution Until November
The original Bongbong Marcos-Inday Sara tandem speculation cannot be ruled out yet after KBL’s nomination of Marcos. Substitution is still possible until November this year. Many hope that the president is just reserving the VP place for his daughter. Then, he would make true to his promise to bring back a Marcos to the presidency.
