Vaccines Mark the End of the Pandemic

Good News against Coronavirus

Bongbong Marcos said; We now have a good problem regarding the purchase and distribution of vaccines. However, what matters the most is that the whole world is reaching a solution to end this pandemic. Pfizer of the US is the first to announce a 95% effective Coronavirus vaccine against Covid-19. London’s AstraZeneca is second. Then, Russia and China follow through. They may prioritize their own citizens naturally. But the fact that preventive medicine is already available, the logistics of the storage and monetary deals are somewhat manageable. Of all these immunity substances, only the Pfizer ones need to be frozen. The rest just need normal refrigeration.

50 Million Target

The Philippines aims to have at least 50 million coronavirus vaccine shots next year. Recently it also agrees to buy 2 million doses for AstraZeneca. Marcos points out that once they are made available in the country, the frontliners must have them first. These include the medical workers, police, and professions that are in the front line of service to the people.

Option to Buy

Those who reside in communities that are at a high risk of infection must also receive provisions from the government as a preventive measure, added Marcos. The herd concept says that when around 70% or most of the population are already immune, the virus will naturally disappear. Therefore those who can afford to get the vaccine should avail it at their convenience to help beat the deadly disease. The questions is, how much will it cost initially?
