Bongbong Marcos said that Gov. Imee Marcos is his elder sister – that’s why most people do not realize how good she is as he knew her. She works hard, perceptive and subtle. The younger Marcos admits learning a lot from her. As a former Senator, he is certainly aware of what it takes to be a good lawmaker. His endorsement of Gov. Marcos for the position can generate more votes aside from the supporters of the President whom she is greatly favored.

Supporters’ Quest for No. 1 Senator
There are many Marcos loyalists groups via social media that are campaigning for the governor to be the number one Senator for this coming 2019 Senatorial election. That is actually not hard to achieve. Aside from being a darling of the online press, her affiliations from the President down to the local government units nationwide plus a big faction of the showbiz personalities are more than ready to support her.
No More Marcos Stigma
Despite the black media propaganda thrown at Gov. Marcos and the rest of her family, she rises gracefully above them all. Her wit, cocky personality, and charisma not to mention her beauty are obvious as she goes around towns to survey her chances of winning a Senate seat. Certainly, President Du30 is right. There’s no more Marcos stigma.
Bongbong Marcos also talks about Senator Richard or Dick Gordon. He hails his broad experience in governance and politics as shown in his actions as Marcos insinuates. He just didn’t like that Senator Dick is an Atenean which he is not holding against him, he said. Ateneo, La Salle, and UP previously unite against the late President Ferdinand Marcos’ burial at the Heroes’ Cemetery.
Gov. Imee Marcos’ Popularity
Currently, Gov. Imee Marcos is on the list of Vice President Leni Robredo’s compliance to the gag order to explain why she should not be held in contempt for violating the PET rule. This is allegedly in leaking sensitive issues of the ongoing VP recount to the public. Gov. Marcos just defends her brother. Robredo’s Camp insists that they are just responding to Marcos’ allegations through his apparent cohorts. It only proves that the lady governor is very popular indeed not only to her avid supporters but also to the opposition – or shall we say resistance against the progress of the country?
