Kidapawan: Proof that “Daang Matuwid” is a Failure – in providing Basic Public Service

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Massive drought resulted after a long period of El Nino this summer – and no crops could survive under the circumstances. Farmers are desperate not only for their plantation – but also for the daily survival of their families. Hungry, tired and torn apart, they protested along the streets to get the government’s attention on their poor plight.

Little do they know that instead of providing them food or any kind assistance, they get bullets instead. The shooting, beating and arresting by the police to disperse the crowd were noted by HUMAN rights group that filed a complaint against the government before the United Nations, pleading for the inhuman treatment experienced by the farmers in Kidapawan City on April 1, 2016.

The group Karapatan cited the killing, illegal arrest and detention, and other human rights violations against the farmers when filing the complaint in the United Nations Human Rights Council. President Noynoy Aquino’s administration proudly claimed that they are governing towards the straight path or “Daang Matuwid” in Tagalog.

What good can the fastest growing economy in Asia do when the basic needs are even denied to these unfortunate citizens of the Philippines?

So perhaps it’s a straight path towards hell! Daang Matuwid is clearly a failure to the lowest extent. Need leaders like Vice President Jejomar Binay, Bongbong Marcos and Gringo Honasan who put the poorest of the poor into top priority when alleviating poverty. This should mark the halt of the Aquino regime – and the Liberal Party at that. Big NO to Roxas.

Binay: Don’t sit on Mamasapano Report, Poe

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Vice President Jejomar Binay vowed that if elected president, there will be no more Mamasapano incidents. It is also not a secret that win or not, Senator Gringo Honasan who is his running mate will be his crime Czar – who is a notable military man. He also kicked the butt of Senator Grace Poe who is a contender for the 2016 Presidency – urging her not to sit on her Mamasapano report. Poe alleged that he is just waiting for the schedule from who else but Vice Presidentiable, Allan Peter Cayetano.

As reviewed, Senator Poe conducted series of hearings regarding the so-called Mamasapano misencounter and it did create so much noise then – making her look good through the media. As soon as she became a front runner in the publisized surveys, the status of her report also diminished.

Senate Minority President, Juan Ponce Enrile shared the same sentiments with Binay  over Grace Poe’s performance on the Mamasapano investigation. Despite all these, Vice President Binay urged everyone to pray that justice will prevail for the families of the fallen SAF44.

I am for Binay because I cannot stand watching my fellow countrymen in poverty – while the rich becomes richer

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
At the present time, the Philippines has been noted as Asia’s fastest growing economy with quite a number of Filipinos who made it in Forbes’ top billionaires list – and in US dollars at that!

As a Filipino who has been involved in social, medical and charity services to the community, it is very painful to see children begging for food along the highways, families who won’t know where to take their sick or dead member, below safety standard dwellings and unsanitary or ill people loitering the streets in the capital.

However, I quite understand that people in the rich sector, can’t hardly feel this – because they do not have the luxury of time to even look at their surroundings. Many Filipinos who are living a comfortable life after tasting poverty, will try so hard to stay there – and will just close their eyes to the plight of others.

Vice President Jejomar Binay’s presidential platform is the answer to the many problems in the country with eradicating poverty as the main priority through quality public services in the health, medical, educational, economical (jobs),social (senior citizens and the disabled care programs), transportation and infrastructure departments – thus eliminating crimes and achieving realistic progress.

Gringo is not for the Win – but for Bongbong?

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
We already know by now that Senator Gringo Honasan is a man of few words – but very prinipled at that! Selflessness is evident in the different stages of his life with an utmost goal of serving his country. This humble soldier now senator would indeed do everything that he can – to make Philippines a better place to be.

Judging from his political developments, he is not always running to win. In fact, he probably never aspired for the country’s second highest position if not for V.P. Binay. It is obvious that he strategically places himself in an aspect that would benefit his favored candidate or party for the good of the people. Could it be that Senator Gringo this time is running as Vice President not to win – but for endorsing Bongbong Marcos?

Both Senator Gringo and V.P. Binay were involved in the EDSA revolution that toppled the late President Ferdinand Marcos. Why are they endorsing the younger Marcos then? Senator Gringo was quoted as saying: Why burden the son for the sins of the father?

Whatever the case may be, Senator Bongbong Marcos, Vice President Jejomar Binay and Senator Gringo Honasan are obviously joining forces to weaken the current administration’s LP party.
