Even the Earthquake Attests that Sabah Belongs to the Philippines

Sabah

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

The 7.3-magnitude quake that measures at a depth of 380 miles or 617 km hits the center of the Celebes Sea. It is between the Philippines and Indonesia. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre (PTWC) states that there is no tsunami threat because the earthquake is located too deep inside the earth. However, Metro Manila announces that a magnitude-6.7 earthquake manifests in Surigao City. It is also experienced in Sabah.

[VIDEO]: KOTA KINABALU: Tremors were felt in the city center here and in Sandakan. That prompts city dwellers to rush out of buildings in panic.

The Quake is Experienced in Sabah

People run out of high buildings after tremors are felt in eastern Sabah. It happens after a magnitude 7.3 earthquake strikes the Celebes Sea, off the Philippines. It hit about 466km east of Semporna. Many people account that they are shaking. The tremors are also felt in various parts of the east coast. That include Sandakan and Tawau – as well as in Sabah’s state capital, Kota-Kinabalu.

Learning from Surigao Quake

PHIVOLCS Director Renato Solidum explains that the first lesson Metro Manila learns from the quake is how non-engineered buildings pose a greater danger to human life than the quake itself. During earthquakes, skyscrapers are often thought of as the biggest hazards. However, the damages on small to medium-sized buildings, outnumber large buildings in most disasters, just like in Surigao.

Casualty Estimates

Solidum estimates that 31,000 people along the West Valley Fault in Metro Manila are affected. This is when a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit there alone. It is actually higher according to JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) study. Their count is 34,000. Around 21,000 people can die as a result. This does not include nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna. Those places also lie on the West Valley Fault.

Geographically Related

Sabah and the Philippines are not only related in historical and geographical terms. Even their fault lines are connected. This somehow indicates that Sabah’s mother country is naturally the Philippines and not Malaysia as claimed by the Filipinos. The Malaysians cannot accept this fact despite their yearly lease payment. Nevertheless, this is nature’s way of keeping the Sabah issue warm for the next DILG Secretary, Bongbong Marcos.

Bongbong Marcos Agrees With Binay That BS Aquino Has Liability For Mamasapano

Mamasapano

By: Danilo Flores II

Former Vice Pres. Jejomar Binay questions the Ombudsman in their decision on why former pres. Benigno S. Aquino III is spared from the liability for the death of the SAF44. The Mamasapano massacre happens 2 years ago. Former Senator Bongbong Marcos agrees with former VP Binay’s opinions.

Anniversary Of Oplan Exodus

Filipinos are shocked by the “Mamasapano Massacre.” The clash between the armed rebel group and the soldiers results in the death of forty-four (44) elite police officers of the Special Action Force (SAF). It happens last January 25, 2015 at barangay Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao. No leader takes the liability for the orders that results to the unnecessary deaths. It also has a reward money in US dollars.

Who is Liable For The Mamasapano Clash?

The present administration is now raising a question. They are asking why the former pres. Benigno “PNoy” S. Aquino III  did not make any coordination with the AFP to handle the arrest of the said terrorist.

Marwan is reported to be protected by the Moro rebels in Mindanao. Accordingly, Pres. Aquino mentioned in his statement that the Special Action Force (SAF) can handle operation anywhere in the country.

Violation Of Police Chain Of Command

House of Representatives minority bloc recently conducted an investigation to determine who is liable for the anti-terrorist raid at Mamasapano that resulted to the death of the SAF 44. They found out that Benigno S. Aquino III is liable for the anti-terror operation that lead to the death of the police officers.

The reasons being laid down by the HoR is that first, he gave the stand down order to the artillery in the height of the encounter. Next is that he did not order the military to back up the SAF 44 who is pinned down at the river banks then reinforcement was too late.

The minority bloc made their findings based on the Philippine National Police(PNP) board of inquiry. It is also made in consonance to the senate report finding Benigno S. Aquino III is ultimately responsible for violating the police chain of command.

Why Pnoy almost Abolished the PCGG?

PCGG

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Immediately after the EDSA revolution, then President Cory Aquino’s first executive order is to create the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG). It is n agency that aims to chase corrupt officials, recover their loot, and implements measures to stop corruption.

Youtube video by; Elena Grace Flores
[VIDEO]: The Aquino government first executive order was to create the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).

First Objective of the PCGG

To recover the alleged ill-gotten wealth of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, his immediate family, relatives, subordinates and close associates here and abroad becomes the primary task of the PCGG.

Prevent Corruption

To conduct such investigations that pertain to graft and corruption as the President may assign to the Commission at any given time comes next to the agency’s responsibilities. The agency adopts of security means to ensure that corruption practices shall not be repeated in any case under the Aquino government. The institution installs adequate measures to prevent the occurrence of corruption.

Original Team is Gone

Jovito Salonga and Mary Concepcion Bautista who operated the original PCGG are man and woman of integrity. It is staffed by lawyers and researchers with annual budgets, that comes up with the initial resolve that leads people to think that it was, the primary agency of government tasked with returning stolen wealth.

PCGG Under Pnoy

When Pnoy becomes president in 2010, many hopes that his anticorruption platform would let the PCGG to finish its job. Yet a look at the PNOY presidency raises more questions, as its directives let PCGG left a question mark for many. PCGG falls under the supervision of the Department of Justice, the previous DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima who reportedly sought its abolition. Why would Pnoy abolish the PCGG when a lot of work still remains unfinished? Where’s the sequestered wealth?

President Rodrigo Duterte’s Political Will Mistaken for Dictatorship Just Like Marcos

President Rodrigo Duterte

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
President Rodrigo Duterte may sound firm in implementing the laws of the land but he’s not a dictator. Just like the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos, detractors call him dictator when the real authoritarian rulers are the pro-communists. In a democratic country, the rule of law must be implemented to maintain order. Now that the Philippines already has a top leader with political will, critics try to bring him down to mislead the public.

Youtube video by; Rappler
[VIDEO]: Human rights watchdog group Karapatan says the effigy depicts the ‘resurrection and rehabilitation of the Marcoses’ and concerns over the rise in extrajudicial killings.

Anti-Marcos and Duterte are Pro Liberal Party

Ferdinand E. Marcos’ 20-year rule says it all. The rising economy, effective infrastructures, quality public services and fair opportunities are just a few of his achievements. He thinks about the welfare of the Filipinos in everything that he does. Unlike in today’s politics, many politicians are defending its political party than the interest of its citizens. This is the reason why there are anti-Marcos and Duterte. They cannot accept the fact that the Liberal Party’s reign is over. They better sit tight because they really cannot handle it when Bongbong Marcos takes over.

Collateral Damage

President Duterte is not happy with regards to innocent lives being sacrificed during police operations. He is very sorry for this so-called collateral damage. It is not justifiable to have killed one in the process of saving many lives – but sometimes, such accident happens and must not be tolerated.

Filipinos Looking Up to Americans

President Duterte made a point telling people why look up to America when they cannot even solve their own problems? He cited issues with refugees, discrimination, and police abuses especially when it comes to black Americans. Why interfere with the country’s internal problem-solving process?

Sovereign Country

Many Filipinos are so inclined to the colonial mentality that it made them fearful to think that Americans will not back up Filipinos anymore. To the contrary, the President has the same inquiry to the Americans as the late Marcos. They have occupied the military bases in the Philippines for many years but what good does it bring to the Filipinos?

Enrile: EDSA was Right but the People it Brought to Power are the Wrong Ones

Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Senator Juan Ponce Enrile made it clear that the EDSA revolution was the right thing to do at that time to preserve peace. The late President Ferdinand E. Marcos also complied with his suggestion by stepping down. The Aquinos were not there so they do not know what they’re saying. Only Butch Aquino was there during Martial Law.

Youtube video by; Rappler
[VIDEO]: Anti-Marcos burial protests at the People Power Monument in EDSA on Wednesday, November 30. Millennials dominate the rally alongside prominent activists during the Marcos era.

Activists Winnie Monsod and Jimmy Paredes should Shut Up

Enrile’s message to the youth who are supporting activists, Winnie Monsod and Jimmy Paredes is to shut up. They do not know what they’re saying. It was the Aquinos who are leading the country into despair. They tainted the Edsa spirit by

Anti-Marcos are Idiots

Enrile calls the anti-Marcos supporters idiots. They do not know the fact that they are still enjoying the works of the late president Marcos. They are accusing them of the wrong accusations. Corruption and negligence in governance must be directed to the Aquinos and not to the Marcoses.

Hoax Military Abuses

Military abuses may have happened but not to the extent of what the Liberal Party is portraying. Protesters better file cases first if they really have a Martial Law case than make unnecessary demonstrations that won’t help them.

The Purpose of Edsa is not Implemented

The governments after the Edsa revolution did not serve the purposed why it was staged. They should have performed better than Marcos but they are even not at par. They are noted as “palpak” or failed governments.
