Drilon Proclaimed Robredo Despite Protests

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
While President Rodrigo Duterte chosed to remain in Davao to finish some mayoralty responsibilities,Senate President Franklin Drilon raised Leni Robredo’s hand proclaiming her as the Vice President of the Philippines despite protests with witnesses accompanied by Pastor Boy Saycon of Copa appearing before a press conference shortly before the Congress’s proclamation for the two top positions of the land. Duterte is the 16th President of the Philippines effective June 30, 2016 – the inauguration day.

The witnesses accounted their election cheating parts during the May 9, 2016 poll maneuvering the transfer of votes from the opposition candidates to the Liberal bets; Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo. Pastor Boy tagged the recent election earlier as dirty and dishonest. He also informed Duterte through a phone call of the evidences gathered recently – and he was not happy at all to be a product of that kind of fraudulent election. So, many are doubting that his absence during the proclamation is also a sign of protest supporting a comrade that he respected in the person of Pastor Boy.

Meanwhile, when other Presidential candidates conceded to Robredo, Senator Bongbong Marcos, Robredo’s rival in the very tight Vice Presidential race is ignoring it saying; if Leni only knows how her Party and Malaca├▒ang connived to orchestrate the massive fraud into their favor, she can’t bear it and she will be the one to voluntarily resign. Marcos also initiated the action to discontinue the use of Smartmatic’s system for future elections – since the major fraudulent act was done through the server as per witnesses.
