Bongbong Marcos says this when pressed if he is for Martial Law; “Oh, God, no. If there is martial law, it means we are in crisis. Marcos made it clear that we don’t want the Philippines to be in crisis.” President Rodrigo Duterte also addressed the people in Manila who implied that he will resort to martial law if triggered in anger – but he said that it did not improve our lives in the past. Hatred can only teach children to be rebellious if their parents are killed for whatever reason.

[VIDEO]: If it would come from me, a Martial Law declaration, that’s just foolish. We had Martial Law before, what happened? Nothing. Did our lives improve from then until now? Nothing.
Shoot Officials who Abuse the Blanket Authority
Duterte will not resort to Martial Law, he prefers the “blanket authority” to be given to local officials assisted by the military. “I would rather empower every mayor to seek the brigade’s assistance. They have to tell the story why their community is not safe anymore, to avail of the blanket authority. He made it clear that no official can use this “authority” to order the military to do illegal activities. He said he would give a standing order to soldiers to “shoot officials” who do so.
Martial Law was Imposed to Instill Discipline during Crisis
The strict military rule was necessary during the late Marcos’ reign because everything was in chaos due to media propaganda against him. People were brainwashed to stage a coup d’etat against him using the media. That time, Filipinos believe what they hear on the radio and see on TV.
Abuses Committed by Soldiers not Ordered by Marcos

Why should Bongbong Marcos apologize on crimes committed by other people that were blamed to his father? The late strongman was never convicted of any crime – so the son has nothing to apologize for on behalf of the father!
