Duterte’s War with De Lima continues as he Assumes Office

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
President-elect Rodrigo Duterte has warned senator-elect Leila De Lima that she’s not off the hook yet for her tardiness in checking on shabu laboratories inside the national Bilibid penitentiary. It took De Lima seven months after then Davao Mayor Duterte reported the lead to De Lima to look into the matter physically.

Instead, De Lima was seen frequently on TV attacking now President Duterte’s foul mouth – and his plans once he assumes the presidential office. De Lima blamed Mr. President for the extra judicial killings in Davao and she is also totally against the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos’ burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani which the latter already allowed the Marcos family during his recent talk with the son, Bongbong Marcos to do just that in September if everything goes smoothly.

Their word war is expected to go worst as Duterte challenged De Lima to file cases against him – and with Mr. President’s way of doing things, he will not take De Lima’s bluffing lightly. He will secure things even before she can do harm to his performance as the new Philippine leader – and a tough one at that!
