This is petitioned by the latter to speed up the process.

Sometimes some people like to deal with shallow issues. It’s the prerogative of the president to choose his priorities in leading the country. On the other hand, the Vice President is designed to do such ceremonial activities that are no brainer. It’s really as simple as that. Disputes in this should not occur if all Filipinos aspire for the welfare of the nation and not only to fight for their own political preferences.

The Supreme Court also directs that both parties must submit their preliminary conference briefs on or before 16 June 2017. This is for the compliance to the new preliminary conference date. That is on 11 July 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the En Banc session hall.
