Robredo: Staying at Coconut Palace Despite Complaining that Rent of ₱440,000 Too Expensive

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
It was highlighted during TV interviews when Leni Robredo was winning based on the unofficial partial server voting results transmissions that shifted to her favor – decreasing Bongbong Marcos’ lead after Smartmatic allegedly inserted a Hash Tag Script into the server’s settings, that she openly challenged Coconut Palace’s rent of ₱440,000 saying it’s too expensive for the government which tax payers pay.

However, she is now justifying her previous comments; saying that she will soon take his Vice Presidential office in two weeks time – and that it will be convenient to just continue for the time being.

Outgoing Vice President Jojo Binay is now busy packing his personal possessions. It’s noted however that ceremonial gatherings were normally held at the Coconut Palace, but the day-to-day operations were held at PNB building which is just near the Palace. OVP employees are also transitioned into Robredo except the 26 co-terminus with Binay.
