It is evident in social media that it’s not only the rich who are willing to contribute for Bongbong Marcos’ recount dues ordered by the Supreme Court but also most supporters from the masses particularly OFWs, office workers, and laborers. At least 40 friends and supporters of Marcos helped raise the initial money needed for his poll protest against Leni Robredo. They affixed their signatures, contact information with an open letter addressed to the Presidential Electoral Tribunal to expedite Marcos’s protest. Marcos confirmed that they are the donors who helped raise P36,023,000 required by the PET.
