Solgen Ready to File Treason Case against Robredo to Support Alvarez’ Impeachment Move

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
It’s no brainer. If the president is impeached, who would benefit? The law says the President and the Vice-President may be removed from office through impeachment for, and conviction of, culpable violation of the Constitution, treason, bribery, graft and corruption, other high crimes, or betrayal of public trust. Upon watching VP Leni Robredo’s video submitted to the UN where she attacks the administration’s drug war, the Solicitor General concludes that she is guilty of the treason act which is an impeachable case.

[VIDEO]: Alvarez eyes impeachment rap vs Robredo this time

Lady Robredo

Speaker of the House Pantaleon Alvarez refuses to call Robredo Vice President. He addresses her as “lady” because he is not sure if she really wins in the election. Bongbong Marcos’ electoral protest is still ongoing. Massive concrete proofs of fraudulent activities are gathered from legible voters themselves. Evidence are from both digital and manual processes.

OVP’s Defense

Robredo’s spokesperson Georgina Hernandez Even Magdalo Party-list Rep Gary Alejano said that it is only the Magdalo that is behind the president’s impeachment complaint. Robredo denies this herself. She also said that reports are sent to the DILG and PNP on her “exchange heads” revelation but they are ignored. Real people allegedly make this complaint at her office. The video was also submitted to the UN since February so, the coincidence with the impeachment filing date is not within her control, she added.

Act of Treason

Alvarez condemns Robredo’s video and says that she clearly does not have the basis of her allegations. The near recount of votes just scares her. She knows she does not have an edge over Bongbong Marcos. He is certain that Robredo has a “direct hand” in the President’s impeachment complaint filed by Magdalo. Treason is the crime of betraying one’s country, especially by attempting to overthrow the government. Senate President Koko Pimental is next in line to Robredo for the VP post and then Alvarez is next to Pimentel as the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano can only be appointed by the President once he becomes a cabinet member and the first two successors are not qualified.

Trillanes should be the one Panicking Now!

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Few media publications/channels featured the response of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV after the 200 Million Libel suit was filed against him by Vice President Jejomar Binay and other cohorts namely: Alan Peter Cayetano and Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice – saying that V.P. Binay’s move is only a sign that he is already panicking; like this one featured in Cebu Daily News. It is not known however why Binay should be panicking. Is that Senator Trillanes’s way of passing what he really felt to Binay? Well, he has all the reasons to panic because this time, he will be the one subjected to cross-examinations by a real court of law!

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales is also included in the lawsuit for her highly publicized libelous statements prejudging the vice president with plunder despite not completing the preliminary investigation yet. Philippine Daily Inquirer did not escape from the action taken by the Vice President for their negativity in reporting events concerning Binay.

Renato Bondal, Nicolas Enciso VI, Ernesto Mercado, and Mario Hechanova were also additional Libel defendants due to their unfounded accusations against the Vice President.

Members of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) – Amando Tetangco, Emmanuel Dooc, Teresita Herbosa, and Julia Abad — are also part of the complaint for releasing the confidential AMLC report prematurely and for not disclosing details with regards to the income and other sources of funds of V.P. Binay misleading the public into believing that the Binay’s amassed questionable wealth. Please see this link for CNN Philippines‘ detailed report.
