Vice President Leni Robredo calls on Filipinos to respect constitutional institutions such as the Office of the Ombudsman. This goes the same to the Commission on Human Rights after criticisms are thrown against these agencies. She asks the people to rally behind these bodies. The VP defends Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales after the President warns her. Robredo’s betrayal to the administration she serves only has one reason – Bongbong Marcos.

[VIDEO]: Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo on Thursday urged Filipinos to speak out and be brave amid the “polarization that’s sweeping across our country.”
“We need to respect the mandates of these institutions so that they can perform the duties bestowed upon them. This is to keep the government clean and honest,” Robredo said in a statement. “In spite of the issues they face, the strong will of Filipinos (like in EDSA perhaps) is again needed. Let’s all join together in following our constitution and insist on the democratic approaches of the Ombudsman,” she said.
The President’s Warning vs the Ombudsman
Du30 earlier threatened to form a commission that would investigate the alleged anomalies of the Office of the Ombudsman after the anti-graft agency announced that it was launching a fact-finding probe into his rumored wealth announced by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. He dares the Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno to resign with him.
Attacks Against Du30 are for Marcos
The President is ready to step down anytime for as long as the country won’t go back to the rotten management of the Liberal Party. Bongbong Marcos is the only hope for the Philippines to prosper. His electoral protest against Robredo is due for the recount in November this year. The Liberal media propaganda is already in full force from the Senate to the people’s televisions that can destroy the chances of Marcos through Du30. However, it is evident that there are more social media practitioners who are sensibly pro-administration.
Upcoming Recount for Bongbong Marcos’ Protest
The priority recount is expected to be completed in December this year. The Liberal Party barely has two months to block Bongbong Marcos from the Vice Presidency. As this is happening it is obvious that the killings particularly involving minors are rising. Hatred towards the President can be felt as their surviving families blame him for the deaths regardless of who the culprits are. Such incidents are likely to sabotage the campaigns of the administration given the scenario.

Vice President Jejomar Binay loses his immunity on June 30, 2016 after his tenure as Vice President comes to an end. Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales saw a window of opportunity as per her discussion with journalists last May 19, 2016. She said that the outgoing Vice President can expect at least one case to be filed against him in connection with the P2.8-billion Makati city hall parking project when Binay was still a mayor.
Binay denied all accusations and quite confident that the Ombudsman will go nowhere with her intention – just like the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
However, this is quite an interesting development to follow. Will Conchita ends up to be a big liar – or will Binay be in trouble?
Few media publications/channels featured the response of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV after the 200 Million Libel suit was filed against him by Vice President Jejomar Binay and other cohorts namely: Alan Peter Cayetano and Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice – saying that V.P. Binay’s move is only a sign that he is already panicking; like this one featured in Cebu Daily News. It is not known however why Binay should be panicking. Is that Senator Trillanes’s way of passing what he really felt to Binay? Well, he has all the reasons to panic because this time, he will be the one subjected to cross-examinations by a real court of law!
Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales is also included in the lawsuit for her highly publicized libelous statements prejudging the vice president with plunder despite not completing the preliminary investigation yet. Philippine Daily Inquirer did not escape from the action taken by the Vice President for their negativity in reporting events concerning Binay.
Renato Bondal, Nicolas Enciso VI, Ernesto Mercado, and Mario Hechanova were also additional Libel defendants due to their unfounded accusations against the Vice President.
Members of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) – Amando Tetangco, Emmanuel Dooc, Teresita Herbosa, and Julia Abad — are also part of the complaint for releasing the confidential AMLC report prematurely and for not disclosing details with regards to the income and other sources of funds of V.P. Binay misleading the public into believing that the Binay’s amassed questionable wealth. Please see this link for CNN Philippines‘ detailed report.
