Conference Call or Courtesy Call?

Saudi Foreign Minister H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud recently paid a courtesy call on President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. This is not at all a common occurrence in the country’s history. People are asking if this is a conference call about the currency reset to gold or just about the migrant workers in Saudi Arabia.

From the President

Marcos shared photos of his meeting with the Saudi foreign minister along with other officials on Facebook. The President thanked the government of Saudi Arabia for its concern for the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in their country.  It is not clear that the courtesy call was the same as the conference call for migrant workers.

Lifting of the Deployment Ban

The Philippine government will lift its Saudi deployment ban on November 7, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan Ople said. She has reached an agreement with Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmad Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi. Is the Al Saud royalty’s private meeting with the President separate from the meeting with Ople?

Conference Call with Senator Imee Marcos

Karen Davila is very diplomatic during the online conference call with Senator Imee Marcos on historical revisionism. Senator Marcos assures her that they don’t intend to revise history. They will just tell their side of the story.

Len-Len Series is a Way to Answer Questions

The senator admits that she cannot stop herself from answering accusations against her family through the Len-Len series. She also receives criticisms about that. Because her brother, President-elect Bongbong Marcos will never resort to negative campaigning.

Telling Their Side of the Story

The school textbooks include one-sided or even false information about the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos’ regime. Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio is the newly appointed Education Secretary. Many of their detractors speculate that they would surely revise the anti-Marcos history. However, Senator Marcos said with a smile that they will just tell their side of the story.
