Iginuhit ng Tadhana

Many people didn’t know that Bongbong Marcos played himself in Iginuhit ng Tadhana. It is produced by Sampaguita Pictures as a campaign pitch for his father the late Ferdinand E. Marcos when he first ran for the presidency in 1965. Gloria Romero plays Imelda, Luis Gonzales as Ferdinand, Vilma Santos as Imee and Gina Alajar as Irene.

Public Persona

Bongbong Marcos’ public persona is evident his three sons; Ferdinand Alexander, Joseph Simon, and William Vincent. Sandro, the eldest already appears in various press conferences, delivers speeches on behalf of his father, and braves interviews at his best. All of them seem to have interests in politics more than show business – even if they are sought-after in the field.

Changing Diapers

Marcos’ wife, Liza who is related to the Aranetas connected with the Liberal Party attests that her husband is a hands-on person. He would help change the diapers of their children when they were babies. Liza and Bongbong met and matched in New York City. She speaks highly of him as the best husband and father. No doubt that he can be better than his great father as president of the Philippines someday.

In the Eyes of Bongbong Marcos

Bongbong Marcos knows well that his son Sandro is hardworking, Simon is unique and Vincent is persistent. That’s a good trait of a leader – to know the best of each human being. He believes in the talents, hard-working nature, sacrifices, humility, hospitality and capabilities of Filipinos that he continues to nurture during his stint in the senate. Take the case of the OFW plight, Bangsamoro revision, and public services projects he championed. They are all for the advancement of the Filipinos he loves so dearly.

Jejomar Binay, a Human Rights Lawyer Favoring Bongbong Marcos Signifies that his Father is Accused Wrongly

Bongbong Marcos

By: Danilo Flores II

Jejomar Binay is the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines during the administration of Benigno S. Aquino III. Despite his advocacy as a human rights lawyer, he asks Marcos to be his running mate during the last elections. It did not push through but there are speculations that a new Marcos-Binay tandem is possible in the near future but with the younger generation. Thereby justifying Binays’ relentless support of Bongbong Marcos under the Duterte administration.

VP Binay’s Quest To Make Bongbong Marcos His Running Mate

Bongbong Marcos is the son of the late Ferdinand Marcos whose presidency raises too many accusations of human rights violation. That is why a lot of critics ask why he wants Bongbong Marcos for his running during the 2016 national election. Marcos is replaced by Senator Gregorio Honasan but instead of campaigning for himself, Honasan endorses Bongbong Marcos as Vice President.

Jejomar Binay As A Human Rights Lawyer

Jejomar Binay helps Martial law victims and represents the political prisoners during the Marcos regime without any charge. Together with Sen. Joker Arroyo and Rene Saguisag they founded “MABINI” (Movement of Attorneys for Brotherhood Integrity and Nationalism).

During his term as Vice President, he served as the chairman of HUDCC (Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council). Jejomar Binay is also the presidential adviser for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Jejomar Binay’s Decision

During Jejomar Binay’s term as the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, he is beyond the limits when the national budget is the subject. He feels that the administration does not support his budget to sustain his plans and programs in the office of the Vice President. And the reason he highlights is because they are not in one party.

In Binay’s visit to the Province of Ilocos Norte (the hometown of the Marcos family) to check the areas affected by typhoon Ineng, he meets the Provincial Governor, Imee Marcos. Imee is the daughter of the late Ferdinand Marcos and feels the same concern with Aquino’s administration.

Bongbong Marcos from V.P. to President

Bongbong Marcos’ sister and Binay talk about the development of Ilocos Norte neglected by the National government for the reason that the Aquino administration prioritizes only the selected provinces. The provinces with approved multi-million projects are only those who are in line with the Liberal Party’s  “Daang Matuwid” propaganda.

In the midst of their conversation, Binay tells the Governor that he hopes for a unifying and healing administration. Jejomar Binay together with Bongbong Marcos continues to jointly work towards the “unity” goal. Nevertheless, after Binay’s free assistance to the alleged human rights victims, he openly criticizes the Aquino administration for all their shortcomings especially in the area of public service. Binay can attest that the public service performance of the Marcoses are more humanitarian than the libelous leadership of the Aquinos that he and his family become a victim of as well. That’s when they are accused of corruption themselves with cases filed without probable cause.

Imee Marcos on Burial: FVR Was Followed, It’s Duterte’s Time Now

Imee Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Imee Marcos explains that during FVR’s time, the family respected the then president’s decision not to create chaos by giving the late strongman a state funeral and was not even given the chance to be paraded among his many supporters. Now, it’s Duterte’s time and the president said, it’s okay to honor him as deemed appropriate by the family. So, can this be respected as well?

Let the New Generation Judge

The Millenials are well informed and all information are accessible to them. Let them judge according to what they know. It is unfair to just side the 10,000 alleged martial law victims when there are more that 34 million people waiting for the proper state burial of the former president Ferdinand Marcos.

Respected the Opinion but they have the Right to be Wrong Too

All criticisms from the anti-Marcos people have been heard. Can they be fair in hearing the other side as well? Their opinions were already celebrated thus taking this long to bury the late president. Let the legal cases continue if there are but the burial must happen at any time soon. Critics can also fact check what they know because they have the right to be wrong too.

All Criticisms Have Been Heard, Now, it’s Marcos’ Time

Accusations, calling him names and condemning him were already done. Now it’s Marcos’ time as supported by his many supporters to be allowed to mourn and see their former president laid to rest as a soldier, statesman, secretary of national defense and medal of valor recipient.

Marcos has the right to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani

Imee Marcos was so humble when making a plea to allow the upcoming burial of her late father at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. She said, that it will be a simple ceremony that the late president wished for – to be beside his comrades during the World War 2 battles. Now, can the Marcos supporters allow him to be buried just like that? There will be no major preparations required but it is certain that wherever the remains of the late president passes, there will be many supporters waiting, watching and praying for him and the Philippines. Is this what critics are trying to stop?

Bongbong Marcos: Tells supporters to instill discipline over the late Marcos’ burial decision by SC

Bongbong Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
SC extends the status od to November 8 the status of former President Ferdinand Marcos’ burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Spokesperson Ted Te explained that it was decided to postpone the decision on the case because many justices have not submitted their opinions on the issue yet.

Gathering of Supporters

The gathering of supporters at the Supreme Court was not organized to create chaos. Many supporters did not know about it until it hit the media. Still, many supporters have expressed their disappointments and Bongbong Marcos urges them to instill discipline at all cause.

Still Marcos Declaration

A voice that leads the chant: Marcos pa rin! is evident and the people follow suit. It only takes and aggressive leader to escalate the crowd but Bongbong Marcos is for unity and he has no plans to create chaos. The country has been through a lot of damages already from the political battle.

Imee Marcos on Payback

Imee Marcos, sister of Bongbong Marcos denied that she contributed to President Rodrigo Duterte’s presidential campaign. Activists reasoned out that the SC’s decision must be reviewed because the move to bury Marcos at the Heroes’ cemetery is allegedly some kind of feedback.

Marcos Supporters want to be Heard

Marcos supporters have been very patient to the delays and all – but discrediting the Marcoses again to stop them from gaining political positions is another story. The avid supporters are now starting to get out of their way to be heard.

Contain Sentiments Sooner rather than Later

It is not the intention of Bongbong Marcos to stabilize the government. In fact, the Marcoses are very supportive to the Duterte administration. However, can they contain their many supporters who are becoming very impatient? The SC should consider them as well – not just the activists during martial law.
