See How Bongbong Marcos Lashes Out on Critics during His Governance Speech in QC

Governance

By: Elena Grace Flores

Rewarding good governance in QC barangays was indeed a worthwhile night for Bongbong Marcos. He spent time with the barangay awardees during a ceremony after mingling with the residents in the morning. He lashes out on his detractors who questioned his credentials as the event’s guest of honor. Marcos has served as Congressman in the Second District of Ilocos Norte. He was also the Governor of Ilocos Norte where he served for three consecutive terms. Additionally, he was the Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives in 2007. Then, he won a seat in the Philippine Senate. If these achievements in public service are not enough, he told his critics to know the father of the barangays. It is no other than his father, the late President Ferdinand Marcos.

Good Governance at the LGUs

Marcos always believes in the importance of the LGUs, having spent most of my public service career in local government. He said on his social media accounts; To all the barangays in Quezon City, congratulations on a job well done! Saturday morning well spent as I again joined the residents of Barangays Escopa 1, 2, 3 and 4, Quezon City for a medical mission. Marcos remembers that one of his first stops during the 2016 campaign was also in the area.

Smartmatic’s Role in the 2019 Election

Marcos’ protest against the presumptive VP, Leni Robredo during the 2016 elections is not resolved yet. However, the election season for the May 13, 2019, national and local elections is set to open soon. The filing of the certificates of candidacy of aspiring politicians is still ongoing. Although the 2019 elections are still months away, many people doubt it if the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has enough time to resolve the issues surrounding its alliance with Smartmatic. The controversial exposé of former Biliran representative and clean elections advocate, lawyer Glenn Chong puts them into the hot seat.

Justification of the Comelec

The PNoy-appointed Comelec commissioners legitimized the supply contract for the 2019 midterm elections to the Venezuelan-based firm. This is by exploiting the “considered sold” stipulation in the 2016 lease contract with Smartmatic. Comelec spokesman James Jimenez who recently resigned as focal person of the Local Source Code Review Committee after a photo of an actress wearing a bikini was shown from his laptop in a Comelec event justified the contract award saying that it was not really a renewal but an “activation of the option to purchase (OTP)” the PCOS machines. Apparently, the decision to exercise the OTP was made by the Comelec en banc in a minute or unsigned resolution on December 18, 2017. That minute resolution remains unpublished until now.

Considered Sold Because of Election Protest

The lease contract contained a spy-like provision that forces Comelec to exercise its option to purchase (OTP) the PCOS machines from Smartmatic. It reads as follows: “6.9 All goods still in the possession of Comelec as of 01 December 2016 because of an election protest or audit requirement shall be considered sold to Comelec pursuant to its option to purchase under this contract. The Comelec shall pay the corresponding price in accordance with the financial proposal within ten working days from receipt by Comelec of the invoice from the provider covering said goods. This is without prejudice to Comelec requiring the protestant to shoulder the costs.”

No Clean Election with Smartmatic

The PNoy appointees obviously knew Comelec would have to exercise the lease contract’s OTP clause for the 2019 elections when they purposely kept the PCOS machines in storage at their warehouse in Laguna. They made no effort to surrender it to Smartmatic before December 1, 2016. This constitutes gross negligence or a treacherous and premeditated act to pawn the upcoming elections to Smartmatic. A democratic election to be credible must not only be fair and clean but must also be seen to be fair and clean. This will not happen if Smartmatic remains the technology provider in the May 2019 elections.

Public Outrage at Stake as Bongbong Marcos’ Supporters Intensify after Chong’s Revelations on Election Fraud

election

By: Elena Grace Flores

Atty. Glenn Chong pushes for answers from the Comelec and so do his followers. In fact, a group of his supporters confronts Comelec Spokesperson, James Jimenez on the early poll transmission issue. Almost immediately, Bongbong Marcos’ supporters follow suit. They gathered in a protest in front of the Comelec building recently. It seems that the Philippines is the only country that can transmit election results a day before the actual poll. A clear indication of a serious fraud that can divide the country.

Guilty Election Manipulators

An expert in IT, Edmund Casino tells that you can greatly influence the VP election results just by altering a simple code. This is evident in the drastic decline of Marcos’ lead when an illegal correction was introduced. However, as the Senate seek for Comelec’s ex-chair Andy Bautista and Smartmatic’s Marlon Garcia to address these issues, they seek asylum overseas.

Deeper LP Ties

In Cory Aquino’s campaign against Ferdinand Marcos, Malloch-Brown had always supported behind the scenes. The snap elections did not go well for Aquino. But she became President after the famous “People Power” revolution. Malloch-Brown, in turn, assumed several duties in the international scene. He became Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, UNDP Administrator, Development Specialist of the World Bank, British Minister of State for Asia, Africa and the United Nations in the Foreign Office, George Soros’s vice president at Quantum Fund and the Open Society Institute and a promoter of Western-supported “revolutions,” and life peer of the British empire as Baron Malloch-Brown.

Pnoy’s Reign extends protection

Malloch-Brown’s influence continues during the time of former leader BS Aquino III and beyond. Brown’s propaganda expertise is somewhat utilized by Aquino who now faces various lawsuits for his crimes against the people. Thus, it is easy for him to get away from the litigations necessary in the political sphere. This is obvious on the opposition’s aversion display to a truly free or clean election and the rise of a nationalist leader. VP Leni Robredo is used as a block against Bongbong Marcos to rise into power.

Results a day before the Elections

Senator Tito Sotto says in his speech that election results were indeed ready prior to the race. Various precincts mostly in Camarines Sur are identified to have such developments He tells of Libon, Albay where voting machines were sending results in advance. This corresponds to Atty. Glenn Chong’s report that 459 precincts had results transmitted a day before the elections. He also possesses server logs showing these anomalous transactions. His investigation was separate from Sotto, nevertheless, they had similar findings.

Looking towards the Presidents Involvement

Smartmatic already has a shady background. Anomalies have been charged by countries such as The US, Brazil, Mexico, and Venezuela. President Rodrigo Du30 should exert his power to ban Smartmatic. He is the only one able to do so. As a start, the contract with Smartmatic for the upcoming 2019 elections should be rescinded. They should not be allowed to influence the next elections with their VCMs. We only have a year to clean up our electoral system and ensure a fair election. Chong floats the idea of a hybrid process which receives support from many lawmakers to avoid substantial expenses for the 2019 election.

Senator Sotto Points Out Comelec’s Incapable Moves as per Jimenez’ Statement

senator

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

acting workshop

Majority Leader Senator Tito Sotto slams Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez’ reaction stating it is premature to conclude that there are irregularities in the 2016 automated polls as he claims. Sotto challenges Jimenez to show him a circular or memo that authorizes transmission of votes to the server from May 8 to the wee hours of May 9, 2016. In the absence of such circular, Jimenez seems to admit that there was indeed irregularity in the 2016 elections, Sotto explained. Sotto’s privilege speech bears the alleged manipulation of the election in favour of LP bets. Bongbong Marcos contests the same for the Vice Presidency. He added that the Comelec just proves how incapable they are to handle such issues.

[VIDEO]:  The Comelec will be holding their own investigation with regards to the alleged irregularities on the previous election brought up by Senator Sotto’s expose. They state that what Sotto’s source says to be irregularities, may just be the security procedures that they follow prior the election.

Reliable Source

The Senate Majority Floor leader said based on his “impeccable reliable” source,  that votes are transmitted to the municipal and provincial board of canvassers as early as May 8, 2016. This lasts until the early morning of the official voting day. A foreign access to the election servers is also evident, the lawmaker added. But Jimenez said that they still have to check the accuracy of Sotto’s allegations.

Smartmatic’s Spokesman?

Sotto then slams the Comelec for defending technology provider Smartmatic which has custody over the transmission records. “Is Comelec now the spokesman for Smartmatic? Logs are digital footprints that can’t be easily altered. They should present the logs for the areas to deny my claim,” Sotto demanded.

Formal Hearing

Sotto said he will “present more logs” on Monday. “I suggest they wait for the hearing. It’s the best venue to plead their case,” Sotto told Comelec. Sotto through this electoral fraud allegations stressing that the there may be a compromise in the 2016 elections. He cites evidence from a source within the poll body – who said that there was an early transmission of votes and foreign access to election servers used during the automated national polls.

Comelec’s Moves

The Comelec said anew that it would continue preparations for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in May. Despite fresh allegations that the electronic voting system is fraudulent. Jimenez said the poll body would push through with printing 18 million ballots for the village elections toward the end of the month or before the Holy Week. However, it’s enough that the Congress and the Senate are on to the case versus the Liberal Party.
