The People’s Reaction to the Senator to be Imee Marcos’ Move On Speech Contradicts the Many Criticisms

senator

By: Elena Grace Flores

The so-called yellow media is quick enough to report on the various criticisms against the likely Senator to be Imee Marcos after she urges Filipinos to “move on” from the days of her father’s rule which was merely a “feud” between the Marcoses and the Aquinos. However, most of these known biased news outlets, ignore the sentiments of the majority. They have no clue what real people via social media are screaming about – which is to investigate who really killed Ninoy whose death was blamed to the late President Ferdinand Marcos who helped his family survive in exile. Perhaps it is time for them to use Google Analytics or other software to gauge their conclusions.

Youtube video by Rappler

[VIDEO]: Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos told Filipinos who continue criticizing her family to move on from Martial Law. (Please note that the Philippines can never have a dictator because of its democratic system of the 3 branches of government.)

The Opposition’s Attempt to Malign Marcos

The critics view Imee Marcos’ Speech as an attempt to frame the tragedies of Ferdinand Marcos’ regime as just a feud with the Aquinos. This is in contrast to how it was framed before. The LP set it like the people fought against a dictator. To quote Senator Kiko Pangilinan in his reaction to Imee’s Speech, “It was never an issue between the Marcoses and the Aquinos but an issue between the Marcoses and the entire nation that suffered immensely from the abuses, the greed and the oppressive and tyrannical rule of Marcos the dictator.”

Bam Aquino’s Closure Demand

As long as the Marcoses don’t own up to the wrongs they have done, the people cannot have closure, said Ninoy’s nephew. To quote Senator Bam Aquino, “It’s hard to get over something if there is no closure, especially if they keep on telling the public that the guilty party did no wrong.” However, ASEC Mocha Uson argues against him. It’s not the Marcoses who did wrong but the LP. She says that the Aquinos are refusing to disclose who the real killer of Ninoy is. After 2 terms, the Aquinos should have found out already. This is if they are keen on finding the culprit, she said.

LP Wants an Apology

The Liberal Party is denouncing Imee’s speech about moving on from the past of the Marcoses. Before they talk about moving on they should first express remorse and apologize. Bongbong Marcos already asked in the past what he should apologize for?

Human Rights Bluff

The Liberal Party is asking Imee Marcos to think on how the victims of Marcos’ human rights violations will “move on”. To quote them, “When there is no remorse, not an act of atonement, not acceptance and recognition of wrongdoing on their part? How can the Filipino people move on when the Marcos family continue to deny the billions of dollars in unexplained wealth that ran our economy to the ground and earned the late dictator the title world’s greatest thief?” Mind you, the Marcoses are never convicted of corruption in any court here and abroad.

Seats for Senator are the Judge

Neither Du30 or Marcos are dictators according to PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson. She says that Cory Aquino would fit the term more as she hasn’t won the election. The 2019 poll is coming soon. If Gov. Imee Marcos wins as Senator, it would mean that the stigma on the Marcoses is over. This should make the LPs realize their mistakes.

Who will Detractors Kill Next to Blame it on the President’s Drug War?

drug war

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Cielito “Honeylet” Avanceñ defends him from accusations that he is a killer. Her argument was simple: if the President is a killer, his political enemies would have long been dead. She said this amidst speculations that Du30 has a hand on the drug war killings.

[VIDEO]: Honeylet Avanceña, emosyonal nang ipagtanggol ang Pangulo at kampanya kontra-droga.

Wicked Trillanes

“You’ve seen it, Senator Antonio Trillanes has been hitting us since a week before the election. Then why is he still alive, right? Nothing’s happened to him, so it’s not true. You know that he’s not that kind of person,” Avanceña said.

Drug War Program

She talks to Philippine National Police officials during the launch of the PNP’s “Life After TokHang” program. The project seeks to provide a holistic approach to the drug war. Her husband is widely criticized because of this. Detractors name drop International human rights bodies in their media propaganda just to discredit the President and his campaign.

Forgiving President

Aside from Trillanes, Avanceña cites the President’s long-time critic in Davao City, former Speaker Prospero Nograles. “Nograles himself has done not very good things to him in the past, but look how forgiving he is,” she said. She refers to Du30’s burying the hatchet with Nograles.

Media Misunderstanding

“He will never instruct anybody, the Armed Forces, or the PNP for that matter, to kill for no reason at all. He just can’t-do it, he’s a lawyer,” she added. The non-Visayan media often misunderstand the Du30’s countless threats to kill violators of the law. They even cited in many instances that he said he will do the killing himself. Little do they know that in the Visayan dialect, such statements just mean that he is serious to implement the law. The question now is, who will the detractors kill next to blame it on the President?

Robredo’s Democracy Calls Contradict Own Actions on Bongbong Marcos’ Protest

democracy

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Vice President Leni Robredo can only repeat the LP slogan: “NEVER again to Martial Law and dictatorship for her democracy speech. This happens during the 45th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law by the late President Ferdinand Marcos, father of rival Bongbong Marcos who now prepares for the recount with regards to his electoral protest against her.

Youtube video by; INQUIRER.net

[VIDEO]: Here are some scenes at the Rizal Park where thousands of protesters joined the “End Tyranny’ rally on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, the 45th anniversary of the declaration of martial law by President Ferdinand Marcos.

National Day of Protest

The LP’s coalition failed to highlight the alleged continued human rights violation, the killings and the smuggling of P6.5-billion shabu. The President made the same day the National Day of Protest. So, it was a mere battle between the pro and the anti-administration. The anti groups gathered in Luneta while the government’s supporters are in Plaza Miranda.

Kiko versus Gabby

Senator Kiko Pangilinan cannot even understand Du30’s democratic action. That’s why he is mocked via social media as the ex-husband of his wife, Gabby Conception graces the pro-administration crowd. It is remembered that the principal sponsor of the latter’s wedding with Sharon Cuneta was the late President Ferdinand Marcos.

Democratic Action

Du30’s National Day of Protest declaration is a genuine proof that he is for democracy and even supports freedom of expression for everyone. He welcomes all protests for as long as they won’t hurt anybody or destroy properties. It’s also a non-working day for government employees and schools.

Robredo’s Undemocratic Strategy

Bongbong Marcos receives a Manifestation with Urgent Ex-Parte Motion from Robredo again. She asks the PET to clarify whether Marcos should pay for the monthly expenses incurred by COMELEC for the lease of its Sta. Rosa, Laguna, warehouse. She also wanted to know whether he should pay for the costs of the Voting Counting Machines. This is despite the Tribunal’s ruling that the monthly expenses of the Sta. Rosa, Laguna warehouse “is not incidental to the retrieval and transportation of ballot boxes to the Tribunal in connection with the instant Protest and Counter-Protest. On the VCM inquiry, the Tribunal finds such matter to be outside the issues.

Koko Pimentel: Administration’s Ideology is Federalism Not Marcos Authoritarian Rule

Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Pimentel reacts to Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s statement that the President’s plan to replace elected barangay officials with appointees is a copy-cat of Marcos authoritarian ideologies. He insists that the administration’s party PDP-Laban is for Federalism and not for an Authoritarian rule. Even Marcos loyalists refuse to accept the Dictator label of Marcos since his policies are always online with the constitution.

Youtube video by; News5Everywhere

An Insult to PDP-Laban

Pimentel takes Pangilinan’s comparison to Marcos as an insult to their party’s ideology. The president is merely explaining the party’s ideology which is federalism. That is at par with the rule of law. The pro-Marcos people are actually also confused if Pimentel is pro or anti-Marcos but obviously more weight on the latter. This is why many do not want Leni Robredo impeached from the VP post because Pimentel is next in line.

Rule of Law

Following the law nowadays has become optional only as per the president. Pimentel agrees with this. There should be a political will in enforcing the law. Part of the law is the Constitution, so due process, respect for human life that must be observed. That’s why police officials are cautioned to go all-out in the war against drugs because there is anti-drug law, he said. They should implement the law with respect because the bill of rights also exists, he added.

Not Marcos Martial Law

So the ideology of the President is the ideology of the party and the party’s ideology is not like martial law during the time of the late president Ferdinand E. Marcos. We were born to fight the martial law regime,” Pimentel discloses. This pronouncement even created much disagreement from the pro-Marcos faction.

No Congress Intervention

The Senate leader also corrects Pangilinan’s statement that the ouster of anti-death penalty lawmakers from their key posts in the House of Representatives was a “disturbing indicator of authoritarianism. He stressed that while the President had strong opinions on specific issues, he never attempts to intervene in the affairs of the Congress.
