To Otso for Debate: Why Marcos? Why Not Gadon and Chong?

Marcos
By: Elena Grace Flores

Hugpong ng Pagbabago candidates Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, daughter of the late President Ferdinand Marcos, and Jinggoy Estrada, slam the Otso Diretso slate for boasting on their clean record at the expense of other candidates. Opposition Senate aspirant, Atty. Romulo Macalintal said that there is a problem with the exchanges if they won’t happen face to face. The LP tactic aims to humiliate their opponent using past media propaganda. So, his team challenges other senatorial candidates to face them in debates instead of complaining about “negative campaigning” during political sorties. It is evident through the mainstream media that the LP bets are critical of Marcos’ educational attainment. Atty. Larry Gadon counteracts this and together with another social media hottie, Atty. Glenn Chong, they accept their challenge. z

[VIDEO]: NEWS BREAK: Atty. Glenn Chong and Larry Gadon Accepted Otso Diretso’s Debate Challenge.

Anytime Anywhere for Atty. Glenn Chong

Atty. Glenn Chong said that he never says no to any debate. He is always a debater ever since he was in school and a good one at that. He counter-challenges them by giving him the time and venue for the said occasion. Chong ranks in the top 2 of social media popularity together with Gadon. Not to mention the ever famous, Governor Marcos.

4 vs 1 for Atty. Larry Gadon but Not at the UP

Gadon is up for Otso Diretso’s debate challenge, provided that only four opposition senatorial candidates would be on the same debate with him. The venue should not be at the University of the Philippines where there is a crowd of communists, according to him.

Pimentel: Aren’t they Busy?

“Are they not busy with their own rally?” Senator Koko Pimentel told the media when asked about the Liberal Party-led “Otso Diretso” opposition slate’s challenge to debate on election issues. Pimentel said that the administration’s PDP-Laban party and their guest candidates are open to debates. But the campaign sorties across the country present scheduling problems.

Imee Marcos is Too Busy

“There is no problem if there would be a debate. I have no problem with that. But there are some like us who are too busy making the rounds that we couldn’t even go back to Manila, said Marcos.” This leaves Otso Diretso members with Gadon and Chong. The people are waiting.

Gadon and Chong are Waiting

Given that their political enemies would do everything to stop any Marcos from reaching the top position of the land, the younger Marcos generation is fully-equipped with an experienced politician like their grandmother. The guidance of both Bongbong and Imee Marcos is also vital. Unlike the yellow faction, it is not their nature to discredit other candidates for election. They can play along with politics because it is their life. Many Filipinos are banking on them to lead the nation to prosperity.

Atty. Larry Gadon Sheds Light to Imee Marcos’ UP Diploma Mystery

Larry Gadon
By: Elena Grace Flores

Atty. Larry Gadon who runs for Senator said that another popular senatorial candidate, Imee Marcos and he had the same professor Dr. Froilan M. Bacungan who was his reliable source when they were studying in different universities. He was under Prof. Bacungan at FEU or Far Eastern University while Marcos was at UP. Gadon recalls his mentor saying that the Governor was a brilliant student. Despite this, she fails to take a bar examination because the Dilawans withhold her credentials to qualify during the 1986 coup d’ Etat or EDSA. z

[VIDEO]: Atty. Larry Gadon Divulges the Dilawan’s Hand in Imee Marcos’ Law Degree

1986 Power Take Over

Atty. Gadon insists that the EDSA revolution was really a Coup d’ Etat because it was a case of a power grab. The Dilawans or yellows were triumphant at that time because of the black media propaganda against the late President, Ferdinand Marcos. The deceased Cory Aquino and the likes allegedly maneuvered the public lies using the death of her husband, Ninoy Aquino to generate public sympathy.

Dysfunctional Members of the Aquino Family

The outspoken attorney added that the Aquino patriarch Ninoy was a communist. His wife, Cory was evil, and even their son, the former President Noynoy Aquino is sick on the head. There cause Filipinos to live a life of lies using the media networks of their cronies.

Denying Imee Marcos of her Credential

The Dilawans who are trying to erase the achievements of the Marcoses from the land, resort to making it impossible for Imee Marcos to get a Special Order needed to complete the requirements of her pre-admission degree. She was supposed to take supplemental units to satisfy UP with the qualification needed as recognized by the university. Her UK education seems not at par with their imposed pre-requirement. She was able to complete her units for the law course but did not qualify for the bar examination because of the said requirement.

Wake Up Filipinos

The self-confessed true blood Marcos loyalist urges Filipinos not to believe in the false information that the Dilawans continue to propagate. They are only into power and not into the welfare of the people. Former President Marcos’ projects can attest that he is the only President whose accomplishments cannot be overpassed when it comes to giving Filipinos better lives.

Defending the Favorite Senatorial Candidate

First, President Rodrigo Du30 attacks the Otso Diretso Liberal Party candidates saying that they will go straight to hell. Then, comes Atty. Gadon who is in line with the President’s criticisms towards the LP bets. Gadon just merely describes the nature of the roots of the country’s traitors. Followed by the Filipino leader who characterizes the yellow hopefuls with the same characterizations. All for Imee Marcos and the Filipino people.

Atty. Glenn Chong Opposes Bam Aquino’s Stand on Lowering Age of Criminal Liability

Glenn Chong
By: Elena Grace Flores

Atty. Glenn Chong sees lowering of criminal age as a way to move children away from adult criminals and syndicates. “By lowering the age, we actually remove more of these children away from them,” he said. Chong added that rehabilitation facilities should also be given adequate funding to ensure that children are “well” rehabilitated. “If our goal is to rehabilitate, there must be enough funds necessary to bring back their dignity,” he said. This is contrary to Bam Aquino’s stand who disagrees with the bill. He explains that syndicates or parents should be punished instead of children. z

[VIDEO]: #Harapan2019: Glenn Chong on age of criminal responsibility

The House Approves the Bill

The House committee on justice approves the bill that would lower the minimum age of criminal responsibility from 15 years old to 9 years old. Last January 21, the justice panel gave its thumbs up to the substitute bill. This would amend Republic Act (RA) 10630, the law that currently retains the minimum age of criminal liability at 15. However, it allows children as young as 12 to be in youth care facilities or Bahay Pag-asa for serious crimes only. These include rape, murder, and homicide, among others.

Glenn Chong Got the Ultimate Purpose

House justice panel chairperson and Oriental Mindoro 1st District Representative Salvador Leachon said the bill primarily seeks to protect children from being used by syndicates to commit crimes. “Let it be understood that with the present bill, we are not putting these children in jail but in reformative institutions to correct their ways and bring them back to the community. They are not branded as criminals but children in conflict with the law,” said Leachon. The controversial, clean election advocate and lawyer, Glenn Chong explains this better than anyone else.

Rehabilitation Funding

“Reformative institutions do not punish individuals. Instead, they are set to help the children to be integrated back to the community after they have committed criminal acts,” Leachon added. This is why Atty. Chong insists that it is necessary to have substantial funding if it’s rehabilitation that we are after for the children to have better opportunities in the future.

The Same Stand but Different Mindset

Former Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino agrees to lower the age to 12 or 13. He said that the country needs a “reformative justice system” for children accused of crimes. Broadcast journalist Jiggy Manicad also said that law enforcers should go after “masterminds” and “drug lords” that use children in crimes.

No Funding from Marcos

Running alongside hong is another lawyer Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon. He agrees to lower the age to 12. Children already have “discernment at such age, ” he said. “Today’s kids are smarter, they know what’s wrong and right,” Gadon added. “They will commit a crime because they have in mind that no punishment is at stake, Both Gadon, and Chong are in line with the administration’s objectives. Better yet, their advocacies pave the way for Bongbong Marcos to have a better stand in his electoral protest against the presumptive Vice President, Leni Robredo. The two also deny that they get any financial support from the Marcoses. They claim that their findings just coincide with Marcos’ fight.

Justices Hint on Sereno’s Dictatorship – Is this Beneficial to Bongbong Marcos?

dictatorship

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Associate Justice Teresita Leonardo-de Castro’s earlier testimony is supported by two other justices. She calls on the attention of the chief justice ever since. They claim that after 5 years, Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno still fails to ask the en banc. De Castro even asked; Until when will we suffer? As she implies on Sereno’s dictatorship at the SC. Bongbong Marcos, on the other hand, said that Sereno’s plight must not affect the recount for his election protest in February 2018 against Leni Robredo. Their proceeding is under the Tribunal. It might be favorable not to have an anti-Marcos as Chief Justice in a long run but for now, he can only see further delay in the ruling if she is impeached.

[VIDEO]: Four justices of the Supreme Court – 3 incumbent and one retired – stand as witnesses in the impeachment case filed against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.

Justices Criticize Sereno’s Dictatorship

Several associate justices of the Supreme Court openly criticize Chief Justice Sereno for mistakes she apparently makes during her 5-year term. “I believe that the actions of the chief justice from the time that she assumed her position showed no respect or courtesy to the court en banc,” said Associate De Castro. The House committee on justice continues to hear the impeachment case against Sereno.

Disregarding the En Banc

“I do not disagree with the characterizations made by Deputy Speaker Hernandez,” said Associate Justice Francis Jardeleza. He refers to South Cotabato 2nd District Representative Ferdinand Hernandez. Hernandez asks the SC justices if they are insulted by Sereno’s apparent habit of making decisions on her own. This is without consulting the en banc which refers to all 15 justices of the Supreme Court, including Sereno.

Advice to the Supreme Court CJ

“We are a very small group in the Supreme Court. I would tell her, don’t go that route. You are getting what you want through these devious means that are not right,” added retired associate justice, Arturo Brion. The House committee deliberates over 7 hearing days a complaint filed by lawyer Larry Gadon against Sereno. Among his allegations is that Sereno curtailed the power of the Supreme Court en banc, a collegial body, by making decisions on her own.

Complaints that Led the Impeachment Case

Aside from Sereno’s alleged dictatorship, the establishment of the Regional Court Administrator’s Office (RCAO) in Region VII is also under scrutiny. These are on top of t the issuance of a temporary restraining order in the proclamation of party-list group winners and the transfer of the Maute cases from Marawi City to Taguig City. The committee is set to vote by January 2018 – whether to accept or reject it.
