Bias Media Works Overtime to Dispute Enrile’s Clarifications to Bongbong Marcos

media

By: Elena Grace Flores

The mainstream media is adamant in intensifying their campaign on ex-PNoy’s opinion. This was after former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile and Bongbong Marcos’ martial law video becomes viral. Enrile clarifies many details in an interview with Marcos that contradict the speculations about his father’s rule. He believes that they are only aiming to twist what happened during the late Presiden Ferdinand Marcos’ regime to discredit the son. On the other hand, presumptive Vice President Leni Robredo also expresses her dismay on Enrile’s statements.

No Massive Arrests

In Enrile’s interview, he denied 70,00 arrests under Marcos’ rule. Furthermore, he says that anyone who was arrested was only inconvenienced, but later released. He excepts senator Pepe Diokno who didn’t want to be released. However, The LP cites the Amnesty International Mission 1982 report. They sum up 50,000 people being detained without charge or trial on only the first three years of Martial Law. Also in a 1975 mission, the organization finds 6000 people still detained. Out of 107 that they interviewed, 71 says that they have been tortured. The human rights body only based their data on media reports. No one bothered to check the courts as per Enrile’s challenge. Many stories of torture also emerged when the Aquino’s administration provided incentives on martial law abuse claimants.

No Massacres

Enrile also claims that Ninoy Aquino only invented the Jabidah Massacre, and no massacres happened during the Martial Law. However, the LP  claims that Ninoy delivered his privilege speech that exposed the Jabidah massacre after being approached by Jibin Arula who was the lone survivor. This allegedly also what prompted Nur Misuari to kickstart the Moro separatist movement. It cannot be denied, however, that the Aquino patriarch’s connivance with the Malaysians is repeated by his son’s allowing the people of the late Sultan Jamalul Kiram to be massacred in Lahad Datu when they simply want to return to their own land, Sabah.

Land Reform Achievement

During the interview, Enrile also praised Marcos for introducing land reform. However, Constitutionalist Christian Monsod says that Marcos’ agrarian reform was still a loss, with his cronies lording over agriculture. He says that the Rice and Roads program was a good idea but it seemed a form of tokenism to Monsod, with Marcos’ cronies enjoying exemptions. According to many reports, one of the alleged cronies of Marcos is a Cojuangco. This makes the LP’s story a bit unbelievable.

The Oligarchs

Marcos is also quoted in the interview saying, “We were beginning to hear my father speaking out against the group of oligarchs that were controlling many segments of the economy and were not helping or supporting the national programs.” The LP argues that Marcos installed his cronies in media outlets and major businesses and empowered them. If this is so, why the giant media, oil, and telecommunication monopolies among others are controlled by the allies of the opposition?

LP’s Media Disputes Nuclear Energy Source’s Story

Enrile also claims that it was because of Cory Aquino’s anger that the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant was derailed. The LP, however, argues that it was mothballed because of the disaster that happened to Chernobyl in 1986 as well as the Fukushima Nuclear Plant in 2011. Many young Filipinos may not witness the real score of the Marcos regime or the so-called Golden Age. Nevertheless, many of them are already around during the two regimes of the Aquinos. They can judge better.

Marcos-Enrile Union on the 46th Martial Law Anniversary Diminishes Edsa’s People Power

Malacanang assures that the law enforcers of the government maintain maximum tolerance during the rallies on the 46th anniversary of Martial Law. Atty. Harry Roque, the Presidential Spokesperson points out that the President respects the people’s right to express themselves. Nonetheless, the mainstream media fails to exaggerate the protests. Real people post through social media various images that show the decline of Edsa People Power. This happens as the brain of both martial law and Edsa mutiny, former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile reunites with Bongbong Marcos, the son of the late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.

Martial Law Anniversary

On September 21, 1972, Martial Law was enacted through Proclamation 1081. It was then declared on the 23rd of September. Hence, to mark this 46th anniversary of President Marcos’ declaration of Martial Law, some groups and universities hold protests. This is according to earlier reports.

Resistance on the Alleged Dictatorship

Quoting The Alyansa ng Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon’s statement, “hundreds of peasants  with indigenous people, fisherfolks, urban poor and other sectors—people of Central Luzon—continue their three-day protest march from provinces.” Furthermore, they are also set to join to join the United People’s Action against the speculations of Tyranny and Dictatorship under martial law.

Enrile’s Denies Martial Law Brutality

Enrile claims that the country was in better condition when martial law was declared in 1972 than the country’s situation now. He is one of Marcos’ strongest allies and served as defense secretary. He said that there’s nothing to fear under the provisions of the martial law in the 1986 constitution. Even Senator Risa Hontiveros’ stunts on the street in the rain seem crazy for many.

The Communist Party is Not the Organizer

The Communist Party of the Philippines also says that they are not the event’s organizers, but, they do support the opposition. Their statement says; “The CPP denounces the officials of the Philippine National Police for insisting on the announcement that such actions are the doings of the CPP, NPA, and the NDF.  This is apparently to justify plans to clamp down the protests. However, it is obvious through the media interviews of the presumptive Vice President Leni Robredo that the Liberal Party is behind all the movements.

Precautions

In the anticipation of the rallies, Joseph Estrada suspends classes in all levels both in public and private schools. The PNP is set to observe maximum tolerance for the rallies. Meanwhile, in anticipation of road closures because of the activities, the MMDA urges the motorists to take alternate routes.

Bongbong Marcos’ Electoral Protest Recount Now Progresses to Negros Occidental

protest

By: Elena Grace Flores

According to Atty. Glenn Chong, Bongbong Marcos’ protest is nearing its end. The revision in Iloilo and Camarines Sur is almost finished. Furthermore, 1284 ballot boxes are being retrieved for Negros Oriental. This is the last province of the 3 provinces set by PET for the recount. If Justice Caguioa’s timetable would be followed, the revision should be finished by November. Depending on the numbered of recovered votes in his favor, he can then decide to continue to other places or stop to fast-track the decision.

Checking the Validity of Marcos’ Heavy Losses in Negros Occidental

Negros Oriental is one of the 20 provinces that is being protested. This is as Dumaguete City Election Officer Gildu Agoncillo discloses. On the records, Leni Robredo had 255,000 votes while Marcos loses heavily with only 66,000 votes. This is the biggest difference all throughout the country by the percentage. Hence, Negros Oriental is third on the list of the three pilot provinces.

Atty. Chong’s Analysis of the Protest

Atty. Chong thinks that we will finally know how much votes will Robredo still have over Marcos’. That is if there would still be any left. Furthermore, he thinks that if we get to this point, Marcos will have a substantial recovery. The protest will then continue, as the second stage.

Procedural Verdict

At the second stage, If Marcos completely overtakes Robredo’s votes that she can’t take back with her counter-protest, he can then withdraw the protest on the remaining provinces so it won’t take more time. Because, at this point, the show will be over for Robredo and the yellows.

Justification of Robredo’s Camp

According to Robredo’s legal counsel, Emil Maranon, If the complaint was dismissed then there would be no need to do the recount on the 17 other provinces. The recount of the 17 provinces depends on the recount of the pilot provinces. They are still hoping for a miracle to happen.

Election Hearing Development

According to Chong, Not only was the votes stolen from the people but this syndicate or the Smartmatic-Comelec connivance insults Filipinos. Consequently, Senator Koko Pimentel says that Smartmatic would have to answer on who among their employees were watching porn using the DNS server while the votes were being counted. That’s how lightly he is taking the country’s security measures during elections.

Bongbong Marcos Corrects the Misleading Media about Enrile’s Alleged Betrayal

media

By: Elena Grace Flores

As the Defense Secretary back then, it was Juan Ponce Enrile who planned the mutiny that grew into the People Power Revolution by mistake. Enrile was wary of the political factions in the palace when then President Ferdinand Marcos was ill. One cabal was led by the former Armed Forces Chief of Staff Fabian Ver and Imelda. The real enemies were unknown to him at the time but the demonization of Marcos through the media was so intense. However, Enrile always sought for the approval of the late Marcos in every step that he made. All these efforts were to help save the first family.

[VIDEO]: Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile (JPE) speaks on many little-known facts around the actual events of Martial Law. Watch Episode 1, “JPE on Martial Law” on Thursday, September 20 at 7 pm and Episode 2, “JPE on EDSA” on Saturday, September 22 at 7 pm. Both episodes will air on official BBM channels:

False Branding Claim

The People Power had been attributed to the Aquino Family ever since it happened. Almost as if it is their franchise, they use it to their political advantage. However, during the most dangerous and first night of the movement, Corazon Aquino was hiding in Cebu, in a convent. Furthermore, his son was too busy in other things as well and hadn’t participated. Nevertheless, with massive media stunts, they were tied with the movement.

Cory’s Blame Game via the Media

When Ninoy was killed, Corry blamed Marcos. She then launched a destabilization campaign. Marcos was then forced to call a snap election, wherein he was confident to win. Back in 1982, the county’s economy was stable but after the murder of Ninoy, things went south. Ultimately, Cory’s destabilization campaign worked.

Ramos’ Participation

Enrile was down on to deciding to make a last stand. They decided to hold it at the AFP headquarters. He made a call to the Vice Chief of Staff Lieut. Gen. Fidel V. Ramos. Their allegiance was assured, but it was not until late in the evening of Feb. 22 that Ramos was able to join them in Camp Aguinaldo.

Wrong People Power Beneficiary

Because of the People Power, the Aquinos were granted two presidencies. But what did the people gain in these two presidencies? They cannot even solve the assassination case of their own patriarch. That made one speculation even grow stronger. That a relative of the late Cory Aquino is responsible. It would be pathetic to kill their own to gain power.

Marcos did not Cheat

After Cory’s ascension to the presidency, Namfrel conducted a recount. In the recount, Marcos still won by 800,000 votes. Furthermore, in the official count sanctioned by the Comelec, Marcos was the official winner by a margin of 1.7 million votes. It is now clear that Cory Aquino was never elected by the people. The same doubts go to the son, Noynoy. He could have won because of the digital election system manipulation made possible by the conniving Comelec and Smartmatic. Currently, Bongbong Marcos’ electoral protest for the Vice Presidency is still ongoing. Atty. Glenn Chong’s technical evidence shows that the present VP, Leni Robredo may be illegitimate.

Robredo is on Atty. Glenn Chong’s Tail Prior to Election Hearing

election

By: Elena Grace Flores

A public hearing happens on September 13, 2018. It is a Joint Congressional Oversight Committee on the Automated Election System (JCOC-AES) event at the Senate Session Hall, 2nd Floor, Senate of the Philippines at 10:00 AM which is open to the public. Prior to this, the camp of Vice President Leni Robredo asks the Supreme Court’s Presidential Electoral Tribunal to investigate how the audit logs from Camarines Sur came into possession of lawyer Glenn Chong.

Youtube video by News5Everywhere

[VIDEO]: Gustong malaman ng kampo ni VP Robredo kung paano nakakuha ng kopya ng audit logs ng Camarines Sur si Atty. Chong.

Disturbed by Chong

Atty. Macalintal finds it disturbing for Chong being able to get a copy of the audit logs from Ragay. He claims to have no connection to the parties involved. However, on his Facebook page back on March 9, he posted a portion of the audit logs. Furthermore, he even presented them to the Senate committee on a hearing. Moreover, Chong consistently denies being a representative of Marcos. Senator Drilon, however, confronts him for having two authorization letters from the Marcos’ camp.

Origin of the Audit Logs

Chong testified under oath that h hot the audit logs from SET. However, Macalintal is saying that Ragay was not covered by the election protest filed by Francis Tolentino before the SET. Consequently, the Commission on Elections did not submit the audit logs to SET. Both Marcos’ and Robredo’s camps were able to obtain soft copies of the decrypted ballot images and audit logs from Ragay, according to Macalintal.

Macalintal’s Challenging Threats

Macalintal is informing the PET that despite claiming to not be a representative of Marcos, Chong still possesses copies of the resolutions of PET and pleadings that were submitted by the parties. Chong was also present during the closure activities of Comelec which Macalintal challenges because only the representatives of the parties were allowed to observe. Furthermore, Chong was even one of the witnesses in the first cause of action of Marcos. Macalintal is accusing Chong of attempting to preempt any resolution of the PET by swaying public opinion through the discussion of the merits of the case on his Facebook.

Chong’s Counter Challenge for the Election

Chong is saying that the first few pages of their 35-page manifesto clearly shows them trying to fool the Supreme Court. They use only select parts of the transcript to make their version believable. This move, Chong believes, is because Robredo’s camp can’t destroy him so they’re trying their chances on the Supreme Court. He is challenging them to bring out all they can on the September 13 hearing.

Desperate Move to Silence Chong

Robredo’s camp is desperate  to prove that he is a representative of Marcos so that he will be under the gag order as well, according to Chong. He is saying that they could not fight the knowledge of the fraud in the elections spreading. They may have paid the mainstream media, but they cannot handle the social media, according to Chong. Consequently, they are trying to silence him.
