Will Mercado Still Testify against Binay Now that he is Forgiven as per the Bible?

Bible

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Most of Former Vice President Jejomar Binay’s cases are political in nature if not all. This is probably the reason why his former Vice Mayor Ernesto Mercado sometimes wakes up crying during the Blue Ribbon Committee hearings. Binay declares that he has found wisdom from the Bible and learned to forgive.

Youtube video by; ABS-CBN News

Renewed Man

Binay admits that after losing from the presidency, he took the time off in knowing the creator more from the Bible. He also went with his family to a pilgrimage in Israel. He has learned to forgive and made an effort to call Mercado first. They met in a restaurant and hugged like old friends do.

No more Politics

Both swear not to get involved in politics anymore. Mercado even promised that no other family members would pursue that field. Binay, however, still has a mayor and a senator in the family. He also supports the electoral protest of Bongbong Marcos against Leni Robredo. But personally, he would rather continue his Bible studies now that he has found peace.

Pending Cases

Binay still has pending cases for the Makati Building 2 anomaly. His wife also faces some charges in the Makati Hospital furniture accusation. It can be possible that Mercado will be called to shed light to such allegations. With the rate it is going, it looks like the ex-Makati Vice Mayor is already happy with the renewed friendship. He would not want to ruin it again especially now that there’s no more reason to discredit Binay.

Can the People Forgive?

Some Binay supporters are aghast with the new development between the two ex-politicians. It hurts them to think that they are robbed by the possibility to have a compassionate and effective President. All it takes to heal is a “sorry.” In time, they can forgive Mercado as well.

The Liberal Party Died Politically as Compromised Democracy is Revealed

democracy

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

The black media propaganda launched by the Liberal Party against the Marcoses has boomeranged to them in the form of fake news. Most of these are actually for real. They are comments from disgusted citizens of the Philippines who are deprived of democracy. Stephen Sackur’s interview with Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has opened the minds of Filipinos as to what democratic actions are contrary to the principles of Trillanes and the Liberal Party members.

Youtube video by; PINOY SHOCKING NEWS
[VIDEO]: SENATOR TRILLANES SOBRANG MASAYA SA KINALABASAN NG BBC INTERVIEW

Black Propaganda Disguised as the Truth

Trillanes is from the Nacionalista Party but is a notable Liberal Party player. LP capitalizes him to destroy the former Vice President Jejomar Binay’s chances to be President through false accusations. They use the Senate as the stage for their media propaganda against him. Other LP members like Rep. Rudy Fariñas shifts to the PDP-Laban Party of the President. However, the “yellow” character remains. He implicates Governor Imee Marcos into the alleged anomalous purchase of vehicles using the tobacco funds.  They are currently using the Congress the same way as how Trillanes and his colleagues used the Senate against Binay.

People’s Pulse Must be the Basis of Governance

The Liberal Party is noted to stick to traditional politics. Their principle as a coalition partner of all administration parties since during the time of the late Cory Aquino is inexistent now, They tend to go against the current President who is voted for by the majority because. He is popular because he implements the will of the people.

People’s Pulse Must be the Basis of Governance

In a democratic country, each and every vote during elections must be accounted for. Leni Robredo won by a hairline over Bongbong Marcos. It is a victory that is contested before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal. Robredo is the highest official in the government from the Liberal Party. She is the key for the party to gain back their dominance. She tries to delay the recount in any way she can. This is the reason why she is a favorite bashing target via social media. She blames her plight to her arch-rival.

Compromised Democracy

The BBC Hardtalk interview explains it all. The reason why a bully Senator like Trillanes thrives in local politics because mainstream media in the country only report how events happened in full context. They do not ask the right questions based on ample research like Sackur did. Right after watching the said interview, Filipinos realize that democracy is already compromised when the Liberal Party matriarch replaced the elected late President Ferdinand E. Marcos through a mutiny. She is therefore not the democracy icon but the dictator that they labeled Marcos with. That eye-opener marks the death of the Liberal Party.

Robredo Appeals to Fil-Ams to Help the Poor in Imelda Marcos-like Signature Gown

signature

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Leni Robredo was not appreciated by netizens when she went to Los Angeles, California to urge Fil-Ams to help poor Filipinos back home. Bashers even ridiculed the way she copied Imelda Marcos’ sense of style for her signature gown. Nevertheless, it is just a big contrast to asking for help wearing a high-society outfit similar to her arch-rival Bongbong Marcos’ mother.

Fundraising Gala

Vice President Leni Robredo traveled to Los Angeles, California to meet with some members of the Filipino-American community. She was a guest at the fundraising gala of the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO). It was held at the Mary Pickford Estate.

FASO not a Political Group

FASO said that the invite-only fundraising event was meant to help “sustain concerts and music education programs.” It is not a political group. What sparks criticisms on Robredo was her speech. Obviously, the event was for the elite who spare some of their money to charity. Perhaps she had a good intention to influence donors to also contribute in her alleged projects for the poor.

Malnutrition and Hunger

In her speech at the gala, the Robredo reiterated the importance of helping the country’s less fortunate. She claims that her office aims to do through its flagship program, Angat Buhay. She emphasized the need to address malnutrition and hunger. “Silent crises” as she puts it leads to 95 child deaths a day.

Marawi City Seige

She also mentioned the situation in Marawi City where the ongoing clashes between government troops and the Maute local terror group are. Relief operations for families in the evacuation sites in Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, and Marawi are organized. The VP really did have good intentions but her being anti-administration really adds up to her unpopularity that triggers bashing on social media.

Robredo: Bongbong Marcos Failed to Block Aika’s Entry to Harvard

Harvard

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Leni Robredo said that the failed attempt to block Aika’s entry to Harvard has no effect on her daughter because she is already set to study there. She conversely gives hint against her bitter rival, Bongbong Marcos even without mentioning the name. Her vague comments about their alleged hidden wealth say it all.

Youtube video by; News5Everywhere

Dragged by Controversies?

Robredo laments how political controversies drag her three daughters. She feels like her prayers are not answered to spare them from online crossfires. In fact, her detractors attempt to sabotage Aika’s admission to Harvard University. A letter that discredits the family’s capability to fund her studies at the Ivy League school was sent to Harvard.

Scholarship

Aika undergoes a masters program in public administration at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. This is on a scholarship as an Edward S. Mason Fellow.

Gala Event

The Vice President attended a gala event in Los Angeles that received lots of social media bashing from her fashion sense to her real purpose being in the US during times of troubles in the country. She also took some private time off to help her daughter settle down into Harvard University.

SALN Question

Robredo’s latest Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth is worth ₱8,878,111.43 ($177,560) as of December 31, 2016. It is down from ₱11 million a year ago. This is due to a legal challenge she is facing with arch-rival to the Vice Presidency, Bongbong Marcos. This can be the reason why she is bitter when it comes to the son of the most celebrated Philippine President, the late Ferdinand E. Marcos.

What does Robredo know about Democracy when she has No Clue on Shabu?

democracy

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Leni Robredo cannot easily convince Filipinos that she fights for real democracy. The recount for the VP race is not yet on the horizon because of her alleged delaying tactics. She may mean well but it is just too obvious that she does not have in depth understanding about certain issues. Like she attacks the president’s drug war, suggests to decriminalize it when she has no clue about the difference between heroin and shabu. The latter can really mess up an addict’s head.

Eroded Democracy

Robredo insinuates that she sees that the country’s institutions are eroded. They are weakened, she said. It is not certain if she refers to the Congress’ dealings with the martial law. Or perhaps the Supreme Court’s nod to rival, Bongbong Marcos with regards to the three commissioners he pleaded for in his electoral protest against her.

Drug War

In the summit that aims to boost support for the fight against threats to democracy, Robredo expresse her concerns that alleged online propaganda is already very powerful. Drug war data are corrupted and fake news somewhat dominates the scene, she observes. There’s no realization at all that social media can only be powerful when there are real people manning them.

.

Settling Differences

Robredo is right to say that Filipinos should rise above disagreements and “build bridges of understanding. In extraordinary times and if differences are not set aside, the country would not stand a chance,” said the VP. However, actions speak louder than words. She and her co-party members continue to discredit their political enemies in every way they can. This is on the verge of bringing up the dead to destroy the son who can be a very promising president in the near future.

Lessen Sufferings

“Let us build bridges of understanding, not walls. Let us bury our egos and our pride and let empathy rise. Let us not just think of a democracy as a concept but as a means to lessen the suffering of the poor,” she added.
