Bongbong Marcos performed very well during the 2016 election. He finishes a very close second to Liberal Party candidate Leni Robredo with 14,155,344 votes. It is just over 250,000 less than the winning number. Marcos’ camp claimed that Robredo’s margin was the result of fraud. The electoral protest is to proceed as it awaits for the recount date from the Supreme Court. However, due to the delays, most of his voters resort to social media, particularly through Facebook political groups. The noisiest are the ones who voted for Marcos but their precinct registered a zero vote for him. This development makes him even more popular and causes Robredo to be hated by many.

Reaction from the INC
Members of the influential Iglesia ni Cristo expressed outrage after their votes in Lamitan, Basilan disappeared. Liberal Party vice presidential candidate Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo got all 100 percent of the votes. The church members accused the Liberals of allegedly “stealing” their votes. They noted that the results in a clustered precinct at the Bohenge Elementary School in Lamitan City showed Robredo obtained all 595 votes while all of her contenders, including Marcos, got zero votes.
Macalintal’s Defense vs. Unconditional Obedience
Robredo’s election lawyer, Romulo Macalintal, thinks that nothing is wrong with Robredo getting 100 percent of the votes. But the INC said it was impossible because it has three “locales or churches” in the area. INC member and former congressman Rodante Marcoleta said that the church members were “indoctrinated to follow its leadership’s decisions in absolute and unconditional obedience.”
Thousands of the INC members posted their outrage on Facebook that went viral right after the election. It is still ongoing and is getting more intense. Some posts call for mass actions at the Supreme Court. The INC members particularly questioned where the votes for the church-endorsed Du30-Marcos tandem went but only the recount can resolve this. Most Filipinos believe that the results of the votes were manipulated.
Not Keeping Quiet via Social Media
Here are some of the groups monitored for this article:
Vice President Leni Robredo as always denies destabilization allegation and calls it “baseless.” The alleged conspiracy by the “yellows” to destabilize the administration of President Du30 as Mayor Sara Du30 refers to as real as terrorism leads the President into issuing an ultimatum to initiate a “revolutionary government.” It’s the same as what the late Corazon Aquino did. This has irked the LP leader and accuses Du30 again of instilling fear among the people. There are two scenarios why this is so. One, her fellow government critic, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV goes out of his way to have a meeting with an anti-drug war counterpart in the US. The recount on the election protest that might make Bongbong Marcos the new VP soon is about to happen, secondly.

Robredo, who also chairs the former ruling party, the Liberal Party assures President Du30 by saying this; “when we criticize, it does not mean we want the government not to succeed.” Her remarks came after Du30 threatens to form a “revolutionary government” as he addresses the LP on TV telling them this; if ever “your destabilization is worsening and it is becoming chaotic.”
Du30 said that this “revolutionary government” would be similar to what President Corazon Aquino created shortly after the People Power Revolution in February 1986. He said that the “yellows and reds,” referring to the pro-Aquino and left-wing groups, should just unite since they shared “the same ideological whatever” of wanting to “kick me out” of office.
Not Rumors but Intelligence Reports
Presidential daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Du30, claims that “the threat of destabilization is as real as terrorism” if alleged intelligence reports were to go by. She also denies that her father was just being paranoid. On the other hand, anti-admin Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano maintains that “the destabilization narrative is only a fruit of their imagination.”
Words from the DFA Secretary on Trillanes
DFA Secretary, Alan Peter Cayetano said; “I worked with Senator Trillanes in the past and you know my respect to the Senate as an institution. All I can say is, although it’s a free world, it doesn’t help the country where there’s misinformation, disinformation, especially false information” “Even when I was a staunch critic of some presidents, I’ve never gone abroad to ask for help to topple them,” he said. He added that he requested a meeting with Rubio, but the Senator is still not available. Cayetano was also a VP contender and running mate of the President. However, he and his campaigners are already open to Bongbong Marcos’ possible victory against Robredo. They are convinced that Marcos as VP would stop destabilization efforts.
Former Senator Bongbong Marcos urges the Supreme Court to handle his electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo with urgency. They have to decide one way or the other how to proceed. It is of national interest to know who the real VP is.

Canvass System Not Authentic
The PET composes of the members of the Supreme Court earlier junks his first cause of action. It asks to the nullify Robredo’s victory. According to Marcos, the certificates of canvass generated by the Consolidation and Canvass System were not “authentic.”
Recount Date by the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court cannot decide on the recount date yet because the COMELEC’s logistics, schedule and estimated costs relative to the Decryption and Printing of Ballot Images for Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental are not yet ready. Its plea for additional time to comply with the PET’s Show Cause Order was granted twice. Marcos cannot tolerate its leniency towards the COMELEC anymore.
Election Ballot Recount
His other petitions include a ballot recount in 27 provinces, and nullification of votes in the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, and Maguindanao, where Marcos alleges the election turnout was rigged. The PET moved to partially grant a recount. However, this is limited only in the pilot provinces of Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental. However, Marcos notes that the “actual order” sending teams to the provinces has not been released yet. The Supreme court also did not junk Robredo’s counter-protest even if she failed to pay the required fee.
Slow Progress on the Recount
“It has been close to 18 months since the last election, and we haven’t come to any conclusions on this extremely important issue,” Marcos said. “We are hoping to start soon because the electoral tribunal must… assign teams to go out to the three pilot provinces and there assess the kind of logistics required, to bring those ballot boxes back to Manila and to start the recount.”
COMELEC Chairman Andres Bautista thinks that to impeach him is unnecessary because he already tendered his resignation to the President. However, it is effective only at the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition, he said. He will, however, abide by the Constitution and the relevant rules regarding the impeachment process,” he added. Bongbong Marcos’ election protest against VP Leni Robredo is about to start this October but such incidents can cause further delays. Nonetheless, the Marcos Camp welcomes the development as it addresses the attempt to bury some truths about the 2016 automated election anomalies.

Pro-Administration Solons’ Counter Attack
The pro-administration lawmakers and social media practitioners’ democratic movements are counter-acting the government’s enemies. Most of them agree that the Du30-Marcos tandem can eventually stop any destabilization efforts. One move is evident. Cebu Representative Gwen Garcia insists that the election fiasco is a major allegation. The COMELEC Chair must not escape from that by just resigning.
Still Waiting for Recount Date
The COMELEC’s logistics, schedule and estimated costs relative to the Decryption and Printing of Ballot Images for Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental are not yet ready. Its compliance with the PET’s Show Cause Order by 18 September 2017 has been extended twice. The Supreme Court has yet to rule on the recount date which is dependent on the COMELEC’s progress.
Marcos manifests on his list of witnesses for Basilan, Lanao del Sur, and Maguindanao. He also identifies the corresponding clustered precincts of these witnesses as required. The Supreme Court, however, grants the decryption of the Secure Digital (SD) cards relative to the 751 pilot protested precincts of Francis Tolentino. His long list of witnesses is also ready.
Robredo Camp’s Election Reaction
Former Senator Marcos is still confident to finally get his post by the end of this year. VP Leni Robredo’s Camp doesn’t have any idea where Marcos gets his confidence. They refer to it as mind-conditioning efforts. They also claimed that the double impeachment cases against the COMELEC Chair and the Supreme Court Chief Justice are part of the plan to allegedly steal the Vice Presidency from VP Leni Robredo.
The late President Ferdinand Marcos’ diaries kept by Former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile show his aspirations not just for his children but also for the progress of the country. The Marcos patriarch had set his offspring to lead particularly his namesake, Bongbong Marcos. As an avid supporter, the current President is keen to make that happen based on the real number of votes cast in 2016. Only the VP race recount can justify that which should take place anytime soon.

A Patriotic Father Sets Son to Lead
Wishes for his son and daughters;
Bongbong left by Qantas via Hongkong, New Delhi, Teheran, Athen, and London. I talked to him, and his sisters, Imelda and Kokoy about the possibility of his mother and two sisters joining him if there should be trouble here; that whether I am there beside them or not they (the children) should value education and get a doctorate degree because even if we should lose our fortune and position here in the Philippines, then they could work their own way in the world; that if for any reason we should be separated and I should not be able to guide them after normalcy returns to the world or the Philippines as the case may be, they should return to the Philippines where their roots are; that I would prefer them marrying Filipinos…
LP’s American Link
In the late Marcos diary, he wrote:
Chino Roces had in 1979 repeatedly voiced his demand that I be liquidated as this was the only way for them (the activists) to take over.
And Roces and Ining Lopez have joined in partnership against us.
They have also joined hands to blacken my character. Thus they contrived the Dovie Boehms case. The funds sent to her in California have been traced as coming from the Lopez camp.
They escalating demonstrations, mobs and riots, all supported by the Lopezes.
And now the Lopezes have joined up with Roxas and his father-in-law, Amading Araneta.
But apparently they are desperate and may be planning assassination to prevent my declaring Martial Law!
Ninoy Aquino’s Double Game
The real traitor based on his diary;
… Sen. Aquino is, of course, playing a double game. He was in danger from the Maoists, as reported by him to Sec. Juan Ponce Enrile…
So I believe he negotiated in a meeting with Jose Maria Sison and is protected from that side.
But now he is convinced he is also in danger, from the government. So he goes through the motions of giving information to the Secretary of National Defense to get protection from government.
And I believe that he will, however, help the Moaists more than the government.
Bongbong Marcos as VP can Stop Destabilization
Hope for the son;
The departure of our children has made the palace a ghostly unbearable place.
I took a long nap (4:30-7:30 pm) in the room of Bongbong which has the worst bed [illegible] and the lumpiest mattress.
And after an early simple dinner of sardines and pancit, I was able to browse in the library where to my delight I discovered the books I have been wanting to read for some time including Fitzimmons,The Kennedy Doctrine, Sorensen’s The Kennedy Legacy, The Dirty Wars edited by Donald Johnson (some of the principles and lessons are outmoded), Days of Fire by Samuel Katz (The Secret History of the Irguny Zrai Sanmi and The Making of Israel, Chou-en-lai by Kai-Yu, Room 39 by Donald Macfaddan (The room of the British Intelligence in WWII), the History of the World in the 20th Century by Watt, Spencer and Brown.
I have invited the Liberal Party leaders (at least ten of their hierarchy) to come to the palace on Sept. 19th to be informed of what we have on the negotiations and agreements between the Maoists and the Liberals.
The Liberal head, Sen. G. Roxas, issued a demand for us to point out the Liberal negotiating with the Communists, knowing full well that I refer to Sen. Aquino, his opponent for leadership in the party and wanting to disqualify Aquino by his own action.
In the late President’s diary, it is clear that Enrile’s ambush that triggered the Martial Law declaration was not fake. He said; Sec. Juan Ponce Enrile was ambushed near Wack-Wack at about 8:000 pm tonight. It was a good thing he was riding in his security car as a protective measure…This makes the martial law proclamation a necessity contrary to most media reports. However, pro-administration lawmakers and social media practitioners adhere to democracy. The winning Du30-Marcos tandem must lead the nation soon. This will eventually stop any destabilization plot given the circumstances.
