VP Leni Robredo shows her indifference with social media sentiments when she said that wrong information comes out from there regarding the Marawi incident. Many would disagree with her, because, the very first posts visible there are video footages of the actual events.

Terrorism in Marawi
Leni Robredo echoes the call for authorities to conduct an investigation into the incident. She also repeats the pleas of the police for Marawi residents not to loiter or go out of their house. They are more vulnerable if they stay in groups, she said.
Houses set on fire. Terrorists take over one city jail. They bombed the National Grid Corporation Tower in Lanao del Sur. Journalists are also attacked by armed men. This is terrorism aside from rebellion which is enough reason for the president to declare martial law. The VP is, however, hesitant to agree or disagree with the leader’s decision.
Social Media Critic
Robredo is very critical of social media. This is after she fails to make it work for her. There are just too many people who hate her. They all resort to social media because they cannot rely anymore on the mainstream media. It’s like taking the matter into their own hands that she detests.
It is not certain what Robredo is referring to when she said that misinformation scatters through social media anew. Was it about Bam Aquino’s alleged visit in Marawi shortly before the incident? Can it be about the martial law declaration? Since she clarifies that there’s no official notice yet and even the PNP is still waiting for it.
Justice alone is already expensive in the Philippines. Let alone the fight to reverse the truth. Leni Robredo is greatly affected by this. Therefore pro-Liberal Party mechanisms are already on red alert on how to counter-act the challenges of their bet. Bongbong Marcos’ legal issues against her are not hearsays but a collection of the fraudulent acts committed by her political party during the 2016 election.

[VIDEO]: Expenses in the election case filed by former senator Bongbong Marcos pulled down the net worth of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Robredo already complained that she did not have the money to pay the P8 million initial depost required by th Supreme Court for her counter-protest against Marcos. She eventually complied after relatives of her late husband loaned her some money. Around P7 million more to go for the next settlement to complete the P15 million.
She did pity herself or acted like it when she said that Bongbong Marcos does not have the same difficulty that she is going through to raise the money. Now, she again laments why former Vice President Jejomar Binay’s net worth did not drop as much as her after 6 months at the OVP.
Electoral Protest Spending
Robredo’s net worth decreased due mostly to expenses in relation to the Election Protest filed by Bongbong Marcos. Spendings include filing fee, as well as family and personal expenses,” Barry Gutierrez, legal adviser of Robredo, said. The case with Marcos is just too expensive for her to manage or even impossible if there’s no hand from the Liberal Party.
However, the VP does not really have the choice but to continue stopping Marcos’ return to power. Ultimately, this is her very reason why she ran for Vice President. She allows herself to be used by her party because of personal vindication against the Marcoses. The question is, can she and her party survive the financial dilemma?
Bongbong Marcos’ Supreme Court motion to assign 3 hearing officers is mocked by Leni Robredo’s camp. This is for the 3 issues stated in his electoral protest. They call it impractical. It is allegedly premature for SC to hear that plea since there are still lots of priority resolutions that are pending. Most of them would delay the process which is Robredo’s ultimate intention.

[VIDEO]: The camp of former Senator Bongbong Marcos is asking the Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, to designate hearing officers to assist in the conduct of the preliminary conference.
From the VP Camp
Vice President Leni Robredo camp said that the request ofBongbong Marcos to have three hearing officers in the preliminary conference on his poll protest is “impractical” and also “premature.”
Veteran election lawyer of the Robredo, Romulo Macalintal explained that the three causes of action presented by the Marcos camp are all interconnected. “These issues are all interconnected. It is improper for three hearing officers to resolve the said issues separately,” Macalintal argued.
Macalintal accuses Marcos of preempting the PET’s action in filing the urgent motion. He insists that the tribunal must rule first if it sustains the 3 causes of action. “Without the preliminary conference, the motion to have three Hearing Officers is practically intended to condition the minds of the people. That has the same effect with the members of the PET. Macalintal thinks that Marcos seems to dictate the tribunal.
Stop the Delay
George Erwin Garcia, Marcos lawyer states that each cause of action presents a specific set of witness and evidence. It is better to have one separate hearing officer for each one them. The Supreme Court should have the discretion to schedule the hearings closely to each other but not at the same time – which can contradict Macalintal’s theory.
It’s a hard two weeks for Leni Robredo as c-anchor of her radio show “BISErbisyong LENI” due to heavy bashing via social media. Listeners have the impression that she is out for no good and just politicking. She insists that it’s her way of helping the poor – but no one seems to buy it.

[VIDEO]: VP Leni Robredo in BISErbisyong Leni
In the second episode of the program on radio station RMN-dzXL 558 Khz last Sunday, May 21, Robredo pours out her dismay that the radio show is swamped with negative comments on social media. Many accused her of using it to discredit political rivals like Bongbong Marcos.
Ely Saludar defended the show. She said; this is purely about service. I just want to respond to some of the allegations because we are not here to destabilize the government. Monitor it closely. We don’t criticize anyone.
The acting Vice President is a target of the social media supporters of the President and Bongbong Marcos. They believe that he lost the Vice Presidential race because he was cheated by Robredo’s political party. Online loyalist resort to facebook or Twitter to retaliate to her bad-mouthing the administration and its drug war through her public speeches here and abroad.
The negative responses to the show indicate that the people do not want their Vice President to be an announcer of a radio program. Whatever her intentions may be, the majority of the Filipinos simply say no. This is something that Robredo must understand. She should act according to her position. She’s not like senator Loren Legarda or Noli de Castro who are veteran media anchors. She just doesn’t have what it takes to be in line with them.
There are Filipinos who are uninformed and misinformed by media. Seldom are those who hear the certain news and verify the facts by researching to seek for the truth. This is why people in the Philippines now live in a period of inauthenticity and contradictions.

[VIDEO]: NAG BOMERANG KAY ALEJANO TRILLANES AT ROBREDO ANG ISINAMPANG IMPEACHMENT LABAN KAY DUTERTE
The Vice President prides herself in her advocacy in the world of the marginalized. But in her first radio show, she was surprised that malnutrition is prevalent among the poor. She said that her experience of coming face to face with the poor and malnourished is unique. This shows how detached she is with reality. Therefore, Leni Robredo portrays herself as inauthentic.
On the other hand, the impeachment complaint filed by Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano against the President was quickly dismissed by the House committee on justice because it is insufficient in substance. It failed when Alejano shows that he had no personal knowledge of the acts which he accuses the President of. His sources are news reports, particularly by Rappler and ABS-CBN.
Gone are the days that investigative journalism is reliable. Journalists are considered as bearers of truth and facts in the past. Now, Rappler and its cohorts have, give the main stream medium a bad name. They are sources of black media propaganda at the present time.
Social Media as Neutralizer
The internet is blamed as the cause of the decline in the power of traditional mass media. But on the contrary, mass media can be popularized by it if they remain authentic to its ethic of fairness and neutrality. People have no choice but to migrate to social media as their sources of information. It is easy to lose credibility in this avenue. Once a medium does not carry the true sentiments of the people, it can face serious attacks online. This is why after decades of suffering from black propaganda, the Marcos family rises above their enemies. PDu30 also is untouchable because of this.
