Democracy Rises: Leni Robredo Knows that Her Days are Numbered as Vice President

Democracy

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

VP Leni Robredo may not be able to hide her utmost worry that like Supreme Court CJ, she is soon be ousted from her post but she can never refrain from lying. She calls for the support of the public to counter-act the decision against Sereno. It is clear in the constitution that an impeachable officer may be removed through an impeachment trial but not limited to it, contrary to her speech. However, democracy prevails. Majority of the justices voted against her ally. So, the ruling must be followed. The same as she has to vacate the OVP to give way to the real winner of the 2016 VP race.

[VIDEO]: VP Robredo speaks after Sereno is ousted as chief justice

Democracy at the Supreme Court

Various anomalies are found during the recount. Since two years ago, Bongbong Marcos faces many injustices brought about by the Supreme Court rulings by the magistrates that are loyal to the opposition. At the present time, their pro-administration counterparts showed their force by ousting their Chief Justice.

Desperate Fight

In a speech, Robredo vows that the fight is not yet over. She slams the decision of the Supreme Court to oust Chief Justice Sereno. She said that it is a move which she tarnishes the country’s Constitution. The VP also said that she is concerned with the landmark ruling of the high court. She stresses that the only means to remove an impeachable officer such as Sereno was through impeachment. This is not true according to Solicitor General Jose Calida.

Calida’s Justification

Calida said that the Supreme Court’s decision to oust Sereno “augurs well for the country as it preserves the stability and integrity of the Judiciary.” “This decision is the epitome of its exercise of judicial independence,” Calida said in a statement on May 11.  This is just after the SC en banc decided to oust Sereno by a tight vote of 8-6.

Robredo’s Fear is Real

The restless Vice President knows that she is the next one to be removed from office. It is just a matter of time. Judging from the events that unfold, the pattern now reaches the time when an immediate verdict is on its way. If so, the proclamation of Robredo’s rival, Bongbong Marcos is likely to happen very soon. She should have listened to former Vice President Jejomar Binay’s advice in the past. Now, it’s too late to save her face.

Bongbong Marcos Urges the Supreme Court in Confidence to Determine the Real Vice President Faster

Supreme Court

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

VP Electoral Protestant, Bongbong Marcos rushes to the Supreme Court after he realizes that it’s already May 2018 which makes his case against Vice President Leni Robredo already two years in the process. He wants to know if there’s anything he can do to fast-track the recount. The people should know already by now who exactly is the real second leader, Marcos said. It is also important to track down entities responsible for anomalies if there’s any. This is crucial to prevent such irregularities from happening again, he added.

Supreme Court Needs to Find Ways

Former Senator Bongbong Marcos said he hopes to help the Supreme Court find ways to speed up the investigation on the recount of votes for the vice presidency before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET). He wants to know how he could help. That is the reason for his presence at the SC.

Two-Year Anniversary

Marcos, who filed an electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo, commemorates the second anniversary of the May 2016 national elections by speaking to the media at the SC. He is clad by many of his supporters. The vote recount started only last April but is progressing really slow with a lot of hiccups.

Robredo’s Plea

Robredo, on the other hand, also asks the Supreme Court to follow the threshold set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for shading of ballots. The shading threshold set by Comelec was at 25 percent. However, the PET declared a 50 percent threshold in the case between Marcos and Robredo perhaps to eliminate machine-generated votes.

All Out Support

The Marcos loyalists nationwide are all out when supporting their VP bet in 2016 until now. Due to the gag order that prohibits both camps from speaking about the progress of the recount, they become very creative in showing off their forces. Actions speak louder than words so they say. In fact, the INC, that is the largest chunk of Marcos’ voters grabs the Guinness World Record for the longest human sentence recently.

Can Robredo Insist that Marcos Supporters are NOT Real after INC’s Longest Human Sentence Guinness Record?

Guinness

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) or Church of Christ bags the Guinness World Record for the longest human sentence on Sunday. About 23,235 participants clad in various colors form the sentence: “Proud to be a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo.” It is an international charity walk held locally at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. INC leaders previously inquire on where their votes for Bongbong Marcos as Vice President went. The church has a block voting tradition. Just recently, VP Leni Robredo said that Marcos’ supporters are not real people. Perhaps, this display of around 1.2 to 1.5 million proves her wrong.

[VIDEO]: Gov. Imee Marcos attends INC’s award ceremony for bagging the longest human sentence Guinness World Record.

INC Beats Indian Record

Guinness adjudicator Paulina Sapinska said that the INC beats previous record-holder India, which formed the sentence “you can you will” with 16,550 students on August 10, 2016. This was during their celebration of World Youth Day. The INC’s winning version was done during its Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty. It is also happening simultaneously in 43 other countries across 18 time zones.

About 1.2 to 1.5 Crowd Estimate

Supt. Erwin Margarejo, Manila Police District (MPD) spokesperson, estimates the crowd at 1.5 million. They occupy 1.6-kilometers (km) from the Cultural Center of the Philippines up to Salas St. along Roxas Boulevard. About 700 policemen from the Southern Police District and 200 personnel from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) were to secure the area. The walk starts at 6 a.m. in Manila. It is also being held simultaneously in Davao Oriental, Abra, Bicol, Albay, Benguet, Aurora, Pangasinan, Calamian, Quezon province, and Iloilo.

International Event

INC members are also doing the same in 43 other countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France. The group attempts to hold four other official Guinness titles: the largest picture mosaic formed by people, most nationalities in a charity walk, the largest charity walk in a single venue, and even break its own record for largest charity walk across multiple venues which it previously held in 2014.

First Worldwide Walk

The Guinness Book of World Records recognizes the INC’s first Worldwide Walk since 2014 as the largest charity walk across multiple venues held in 24 hours. The number of participants initially starts at 519,221 individuals in 129 sites in 16 countries. This year’s event is just massive. Gov. Imee Marcos’ presence during the awarding ceremony hints that she may also be an endorsee of the INC for the 2019 Senatorial Race just like her brother for VP in the 2016 election.

No More Nuclear War in Korea but the VP Conflict is still Ongoing in the Philippines

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

acting workshop

The leaders of North and South Korea agree to remove all nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula. They will also pursue talks with the United States to declare an official end to the Korean War within a year. The conflict ravages the peninsula from 1950 to 1953. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, Vice President Leni Robredo turns to the divine providence as her last resort. He finds Bongbong Marcos as a giant opponent. Marcos discovers lots of election anomalies that put Robredo into a bad light. The VP war in the country continues slowly but surely.

[VIDEO]: A collection of events that leads to Bongbong Marcos’ path as the New Vice President of the Philippines 2018

No More Nuclear Weapon

South and North Korea confirm the common goal to realize complete denuclearization, a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula. This is in the statement signed by North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, and the South’s president, Moon Jae-in, after their meeting at the border village of Panmunjom.

Critical Summit

The event, at the Peace House, a conference building on the South Korean side of Panmunjom can set the tone for the even more critical summit meeting between President Trump and Mr. Kim. The two leaders are known for their being bold and unpredictability. Their actions put the world on the edge last year with threats of a nuclear war.

Robredo’s Social Media Fight

The Filipino Vice President is currently at war with Manila Times columnist Rigoberto Tiglao. He writes an opinion piece about Robredo to suggest that she confers with the European Parliament officials. This is during her last trip to Germany. The writer claims that she and her colleagues in the Liberal Party urge the European lawmakers to release a resolution condemning extrajudicial killings during President Rodrigo Du30’s term.

Blaming Marcos

Robredo said that she talks to the members of the German government and civil society organizations about poverty and social injustice. She is earlier found to have circulated fake news herself. This is when she cites Ilocos Norte, the Marcoses’ bailiwick as one of the poverty-stricken provinces due allegedly to the political dynasty. This is despite the fact that it is one of the most progressive and even possesses better statistics progress-wise compared to her own province. In an interview, the VP shares her assumptions on the origin of the extreme hate she receives online. She can only tag her vice presidential rival, former senator Bongbong Marcos as the alleged culprit.

Bongbong Marcos: Sister Imee has Great Chances to be Senator with Du30’s Support

Senator

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

acting workshop

Bongbong Marcos said in an interview that sister, Imee is already roaming around the country to feel through her chances of becoming a Senator. He also adds that with the support of the President, she would immediately garner a percentage of votes from Du30’s avid followers. He’s sure that Governor Imee Marcos also feels the same way as him as an endorsee of a popular leader.

Youtube video by; INQUIRER.net

[VIDEO]: Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos remains firm in his decision not to run as a Senator in the 2019 elections but said his sister, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, might join the Senate race.

Holding on to the Protest

He said that to run for Senator himself would affect his electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo. The recount is still ongoing that pertains to his case before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

The protest is Taking a Long Time

The vote recount for the poll protest between Marcos and Robredo officially starts last April 2. That was after 2 years of waiting. Marcos said that it is not fair to let the people wait that long on disclosing if there’s really cheating, how it was done, and against or by whom.

The outcome of Electoral Protest Uncertainty

Imee is now on his last term as Ilocos Norte governor. Her plan to run for Senator results from the uncertainty of the electoral protest. Imee earlier said that the uncertainty of her brother makes their family ponder about sending another Marcos to run for a national position. This time, it is her who is likely to do that. Although in the interview her brother hints on the younger Marcoses to follow suit.

The President’s Endorsement of Gov. Imee

President Rodrigo Du30’s endorsement of Imee, should she decide to run, would be “a big factor.” The Filipino leader is a good friend of the Marcoses and has publicly said that Imee is one of the few politicians who support his quest to be president.
