The city government of Makati has been in close ties with local governments from outgoing Vice President Jejomar Binay when he was Mayor of Makati to adhere sharing of best practices and economic plus social assistance funded by Makati – not in cash but basically in kind in the form of facilities, services, materials, tools and training.
Makati offers educational assistance to increase the literacy rate of students from sister LGUs, such as providing computer units and books. Qualified students from sister LGUs were given scholarship at the Makati Science High School – and will be announced further when this continues under the term of Mayor Abby Binay. Stipend and accommodation inside the school campus were also provided to the selected scholars.
