The Philippines Games and Amusements Board said that it only wants to protect the integrity of boxing. It cites the miscalls by the referee and judges. Based on this, five anonymous, competent Judges from different countries were asked by the WBO to review the bout without sound. The results show that Pacquiao won 5 rounds while Horn won 7 rounds.

[VIDEO]: Senator Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday urges the World Boxing Organization to act on a protest letter sent by the Games and Amusements Board, the Philippines’ regulatory body for boxing.
Unfair but Cannot Change
THE World Boxing Organisation re-scores the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn welterweight title fight. This is because of the contentious unanimous decision awarded to the Australian challenger. However, it was clarified that there is no plan to change the result. The WBO just responded to the request of a Philippines government department to review the fight. Pacquiao accepted the decision but said that the referee was unfair.
The re-scoring tallied directly with two of the judges on the night. They both gave the 115-113 score for Horn. The third judge, Waleska Roldan, scored the Australian 117-111.
Promoter not Surprised
Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum indicates that a re-match with Horn is possible for November or December this year. Pacquiao was also open to this as confirmed by him during an interview after the fight. He is always welcome to the Australian audience because of his graciousness after his defeat.
End of Contract
The Philippine Senator, on the other hand, claims that his promotional agreement with Arum is at an end and he also considers retirement at 38. He is actually old already for the ring but Arum leaves the re-match decision to Pacquiao.
15 senators agree to expel the four Liberal Party or LP senators from the majority bloc. A resolution issigned by 16 senators that express the sense of the majority that Senate President Pro Tempore Franklin Drilon, Senators Francis Pangilinan, Bam Aquino, and Risa Hontiveros, are not supportive of the President’s legislative agenda. Senator Manny Pacquiao takes the initiative in making that happen. The LP must not think that the majority of senators tolerate their anti-Du30 whinnings.

[VIDEO]: As the President orders the Philippine National Police to reinstate the war on drugs, Senator Manny Pacquiao says at least 15 senators planned the ouster of their Liberal Party colleagues at his house in Makati.
Senate Minority Leader Ralph Recto and minority member Sen. Francis Escudero are not invited to the gathering at Manny Pacquiao’s mansion in Makati, but they know about the plan to oust the opposing four.
Courtesy to Drilon
Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III shows the resolution to Senator Franklin Drilon as a matter of courtesy. Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III confirms this.
The Punches of Senator Manny Pacquiao
Senator Manny Pacquiao takes the floor and starts the brave process. The boxer turned senator declares Drilon’s position vacant. He is replaced by Senator Ralph Recto. Pangilinan, Hontiveros and Aquino are next in line. The agriculture, health and education committee chairmanships go to Senators Cynthia Villar, JV Ejercito and Francis Escudero, respectively. Just as simple as that.
Senator Tito Sotto justifies Pacquiao’s motion by saying that; Most of us are not pro-Duterte or anti-Duterte. We do not want to be subservient but we also do not want to be hostile to the administration,” Sotto explains. Sad to say, the Liberal Party takes this as power monopoly by the PDu30 administration.

Manny Pacquiao may have tried so hard to keep his promise in beating his record for being an habitual absentee when he was still a congressman now that he’s already a senator but it seems that he is not off from that yet because no one prohibits him from doing that anyway.
Manny always make it a point however that he is doing his job to the highest of his ability – but cannot guarantee his number of days present in the senate sessions. Since there’s no law prohibiting this yet, Senator Pacquaio may be off the hook this time but people will not forget that he promised to concentrate on his job as law maker.
His comeback fight may also disappoint supporters who believed in his words that he would retire from boxing – tentatively scheduled for November 5 but of course, they knew that being an athlete – turning his back from the sports that he loves most would make his life incomplete. So, many are still hoping that aside from him scheduling his fights during senate breaks – that he would not succumb to injuries that would prevent him from functioning as senator of the Philippines.
