Governor Imee Marcos discloses earlier that she and her mother try to convince Bongbong Marcos’ son to run for public office. Among the three siblings, it is Sandro Marcos who is in the limelight. He is definitely too young to run for Senator with the age requirement of 35. He ‘s only 24. Besides, Gov. Marcos is likely the clan’s candidate for 2019. However, his supporters already launch the Sandro Marcos for Congressman movement.
[VIDEO]: Sandro Marcos speaks about his political views.
Chances in the Congress
A Member of the House of Representatives must be a natural-born citizen of the Philippines. On the day of the election, he is at least twenty-five (25) years of age. A registered voter in the district in which he shall be elected, and also resident. Ferdinand Alexander Araneta Marcos III or Sandro’s birthday is on March 7, 1994. That would make him exactly 25 in 2019. Under the Constitution, elections for the members of Congress occur every second Monday of May every third year after May 1992. So, the next ones would be in 2019 and 2022.
Senator to be, Gov. Imee Marcos’ Replacement
The age requirement for governor is only 23. Since Governor Marcos seems to run for Senator, a candidate from the Marcos family is needed. The rest of the younger Marcoses are reluctant to run for such posts. This can be another option for Sandro.
Sandro Marcos has a master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He often joins campaign trails, a substitute speaker for his father and grants TV and video interviews for the sake of his patriarch. This gives people a hint that he might soon seek a public position.
Like his father, Sandro believes in unity. His mother is Louise or Liza Araneta. She is a relative of Mar Roxas. The latter is the 2016 LP Presidential candidate in 2016. He said that relationships must not transcend politics. Like any other profession, he is also open to politics.
Bongbong Marcos’s lawyer, Atty. George Garcia reiterates that he partly agrees with the assumptions of VP Leni Robredo’s lawyer, Romulo Macalintal. That the recount can take 7 months or more. In fact, some protests are already over when the ruling is made. However, the Marcos Camp is ready for the lengthy process. They are practical about it. That’s why they pursue the case. This is an opportunity to improve the country’s digital election system. It’s a crucial test to be logical on what to do with Smartmatic. Given that it is the only national protest that reaches the full payment stage.
[VIDEO]: Atty. George Garcia for the Marcos Camp explains that the process of their election protest against VP Leni Robredo is indeed very long. It’s the first-ever national protest that can proceed. Even Mar Roxas’ protest against Binay is not at par because the latter only paid Php 300,000.
Macalintal butt in when Garcia explains that the whole recount process is a lengthy one. The 7 months estimate of Garcia does not include the collection of ballots, shipping, and other procedures. Atty. Garcia is gracious enough to agree with this in reality. But made some corrections.
The Only Surviving National Election Protest
Atty. Garcia clarifies that there may be lots of election protests on the local level since 201o but it’s in 2016 that there are Senatorial and VP race protests. Among these cases in the national front, it’s only Bongbong Marcos who has paid in full. They also do not assume that they can win immediately after the payment.
No Recount has Changed the Result in the Past
Macalintal stresses that in the past, no recount has made a revision on the final vote counts. The image printing may be an expensive process but previously, it did not make a difference in the official count. Garcia said that this may be the case but it is important for the country to make use of Marcos’ case to improve future automated elections in the future especially at the national level. Presidential at that.
Win or Lose is Acceptable
The Marcos Camp is grateful enough that the case continues. The results of the recounts in pilot provinces are the only things that matter for Supreme Court to rule if the election protest versus the Vice President has merits. So, other motions like the ARMM tech test must be out of the way. Perhaps, Marcos’ protest can help to decide on Smartmatic’s faith in 2019 which Macalintal defensively said to not blame it for alleged anomalies.
Perfecto Yasay said that the family of Mar Roxas is very good when it comes to creating black propaganda. That was the reason why his grandfather Manuel Roxas became President. President Du30 allegedly knows the lawyer who is in charge of creating foul news to destroy him. This goes the same to Binay, Poe, and even the late Senator Santiago who was Bongbong Marcos’ running mate during the 2016 election.

Black Propaganda Destroyed Binay but not his Political Force
The allegations of corruption that go nowhere against the former Vice President Jejomar Binay still emerge every now and then through the “yellow” media. This is because of his strong political foundation. Being a veteran politician, Binay’sinfluence remains strong. His kingmaker, Pastor Boy Saycon is very active in supporting Bongbong Marcos. This is evident in Marcos’ bid to win the VP election protest against Leni Robredo. Saycon also acts as a consultant to the President. Particularly when it comes to sovereign territories. On top of that, his family and party have the majority support of their constituents in Makati, the country’s financial district.
Marcos-Du30 Media Propaganda
Thee love of the majority of Filipinos for President Rodrigo Du30 remains just like with the Marcoses. Bongbong Marcos earlier expresses his disagreement to control social media. He explained that it can actually neutralize biased mainstream media reports. The Marcoses has suffered more than 30 years of misinformation after his father, the late Ferdinand Marcos stepped down in 1986. Media propaganda causes his popularity to decline. Just like what Du30’s detractors are hoping for.
Gadon Fights for the Truth
Vice President Leni Robredo vows to block former Senator Bongbong Marcos from the second highest position in the country. This is despite criticism, impeachment threats, and an election case against her. Meanwhile, the Filipino Alliance for Transparency and Empowerment or Fate said that “an obvious hand is seen in manipulating” the upcoming impeachment hearing against Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. The group cited Political and Electoral Reform executive director Ramon Casiple’s statement that lawyer Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon, who filed the impeachment complaints against Sereno, publicly admits that he wants to “avenge” former president and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Arroyo and the late Chief Justice Renato Corona. Gadon wants to make sure that the vice Presidency goes to Bongbong Marcos.
Mayor Sara Retaliates to Critics
Her comments about former President Noynoy Aquino, “Of course we all know, there is something off about PNoy. Roxas might be intelligent but PNoy among other things is not.” The incumbent Davao City mayor claimed that she has at least two anecdotes about “what is off” with Aquino, but that she would reserve them for when another photo of her comes out. She added she has “anecdotes” about Roxas, broadcaster Korina Sanchez, and TV personality Kris Aquino as well.
Bongbong Marcos is sure that his election protest against Leni Robredo can proceed even if he takes an appointed position in the Du30 administration. He cites the case of Mar Roxas against former Vice President Jejomar Binay. Certainly, this is not exclusive to LP members only, he added.

[VIDEO]: Bongbong Marcos is confident that he can take up a cabinet post without sacrificing his electoral protest against Robredo.
Atty. George Erwin Garcia, Marcos’ lawyer said after the preliminary conference was set that it is important that the case was not dismissed. This will proceed. We won the first battle,” said Atty. Garcia. He also added that the protest will proceed even if Marcos accepts a position in Du30’s Cabinet.
Atty. Garcia explains that there were instances in the past of Protestants running for other positions. He cites the case of the late Sen. Miriam Santiago who filed a protest against former President Fidel Ramos after losing in the presidential elections. She then ran for the Senate and assumed office when she won. Disinterest to pursue the case was shown here.
The Supreme Court rules that in Santiago’s case, it is an abandonment of her election protest. But it is a different case for Marcos because he goes only for a Cabinet post which is appointive, not elective. Therefore, that doesn’t signify that he is abandoning his protest,” Garcia confirmed.
Marcos’ lawyer stresses that it would be better if the case is resolved at the soonest possible time to stop doubts on the legitimacy of Robledo’s status. It is better if the Marcos camp is allowed to present their evidence and prove their case. That can happen in the absence of Robredo camp’s dilatory tactics. Other considerations for Marcos is the upcoming Senatorial elections in 2019 and the Presidential elections in 2022.
Many presidents distinctive presidents are lawyers like Digong, and Macoy. It is not a secret that many groups are endorsing Bongbong Marcos for president in 2022. It is also a public knowledge that his educational attainment was questioned. Does that really matter? If he has the sympathy of the people, he can get through with or without the law trademark – at least his wife, Liza Araneta Marcos is a lawyer.
