Robredo: Accused by Kadamay for using 4ps money to fund her campaign

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Incoming National Economic Development Authority Chief Ernesto Pernia recommended Vice President Leni Robredo to be the head of the National Anti-Poverty Commission as she openly requested but Kadamay laid so many grounds for her not to be appointed.

Kadamay, an urban poor group first accused her of using the money from the 4Ps program or dole to buy the votes from the poor during the recent election. Advancing her political agenda cannot be a good reason to take advantage of poverty-alleviation funds that she gained access through her affiliation with the then reigning Liberal Party, Gloria Arellano, head of Kadamay said.

They have officially complained through the Commission on Elections against Robredo and Manuel Roxas II, regarding the 4Ps misuse of funds by forcing beneficiaries to patronize their political gatherings but in vain.

Basilan’s witness of massive cheating vouched against Mar-Leni – and appealing to Duterte

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Former governor of Basilan, Gerry Salappudin bravely shout his heart out to express the frustrations of the people in his home town due to election cheating. He was certain that people in power are responsible for it.

Administration privileged people who are from the Liberal Party were seen filling up 90% of the ballots in favor of Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo tandem, a day prior to the election. Only 10% of the ballots were for the voters’ choice.

90,000 people from Akbar, Tuburan, Albarka, Sumisip and Maluso were robbed of their democratic right to vote freely. Fraudulent activities were also spotted in Isabela and Lamitan where votes are bought for Php700 up to Php2,000. Therefore, he is appealing to the presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte to look into the matter closely.

The Unifying President and the Strategist in Binay – Marcos Tandem

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
It seems like there’s light at the end of the tunnel now in today’s Philippine politics with the emergence of the Vice President Jejomar Binay for President and Senator Bongbong Marcos for Vice President. As we already know, V.P. Binay aspires to be known as a unifying President and it will be a lot of help for Filipinos who are suffering from the wounds of the past. Despite not being endorsed by the outgoing President Aquino due to his well-known pledge to Mar Roxas for the latter’s sacrifice in the 2010 election, the Vice President and his family remain friends with the Aquino clan – from the Presidential sisters to the Aquino-Cojuangco uncles and aunts because of Binay’s role during Cory Aquino’s regime.

On the other hand, Senator Bongbong Marcos who’s family is a victim of political media propaganda by the father of the incumbent President, never had traces of bitterness in him. He is willing to be the Vice President contender for Binay – because he knew quite pretty well that 2016 is not yet his time for the Presidency. It is evident that his pride is not important – what matters is the future not just for the country but also for him which is quite brilliant – as a strategist himself.

The Binay – Marcos tandem for 2016 is almost confirmed if not yet announced by major media – and although many Marcos supporters are adamant of his decision to run under the Binay banner, little do they know that this is a very effective political strategy. When these opposing candidates merge as one team to battle the Liberal party, there’s little chance for Mar Roxas or even Grace Poe for the 2016 Presidential race.

Government Mismanagement: UP Student Stabbed at Campus Lucky to have a Dorm

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
I almost believed the gossips saying that there’s no real sleeping out of dorm incident at the state-owned University of the Philippines for the best students in the country – but only a sort of demonstration staging until I was seated next to my nephew in a birthday dinner who was stabbed earlier inside the UP campus. He bravely survived his ordeal despite the life-threatening situation but we cannot forget how poor the facilities were when he was first rushed by his dorm mate to a public hospital in Quezon City before we were able to transfer him into a private hospital. We were just thankful that he’s okay now.

He just expressed his sentiments to me how he pitied the newly enrolled first year scholars. Although older students accommodated some of them by minimizing the space like making their beds L-shape so that another person can insert a mattress, that move was not enough to shelter around 840 displaced students, thus triggering them to sleep at the pavement of Kalayaan Avenue. It was tolerable he said until the bed bugs started to bite his new colleagues off. He added that if he was not stabbed in the same spot, he won’t be prioritized with where he is now. So, I said; blessing in disguise? Though I cannot hold myself from being sarcastic and blurted out – a total mismanagement! If the government cannot manage a school, how much more manage the whole country? Infrastructures, roads, transportation means, hospitals and schools are economic drivers. No wonder we lost the FIBA bid to host the World Cup to China as per CNN Philippines’ report.

Nathanielsz of FIBA said that China is a “conservative country that allocates their resources more on public improvements.” China boasted their capabilities in hosting international sporting events such as the 2008 Olympics and their modern facilities as a host country. Our chance indeed is for the next administration, to prioritize infrastructure developments and other public services that would support commercial endeavors like what Vice President Jejomar Binay did in Makati.
