It was not a surprise for Bongbong Marcos at all when former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo takes her oath during the SONA as the new Speaker of the Congress. He is, in fact, grateful to CGMA for accepting the nomination of her fellow lawmakers. It gives a clear scenario on how President Rodrigo Du30 puts everything together to pave the way for another Marcos golden years as planned by his alliance even prior to the election 2016. This is the same wish of the former palace staff of the Marcoses – for the namesake of Ferdinand Marcos, the great to be President.

Not A Shocker from the Congress

It came as no shock to anyone. President Rodrigo Du30 is going to resign if Bongbong Marcos becomes the vice president. This was declared last Thursday, August 16, by Presidential Spokesperson, Harry Roque.

Strong Alliance

Du30 and Marcos have always been allies. The president has been vocal of his support to Marcos’ poll protest even back in October 2016. This week, he repeats his stand that he wants someone like Marcos to succeed after him.

Bringing back their Glory

Du30 can count as an achievement his swift rehabilitation of the political powers of 2 names that have been brought down by the Aquinos. He has paved the way for the Marcos family to reemerge in the Philippine national politics. Bongbong Marcos is now right on track to claim the presidency in the future.

Avenging CGMA through the Congress

Now he is defending the name of Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as well. She is now once again re-emerging as a major political powerbroker. The opposition, criticizes Du30, as these moves arguably detract from his own reform credentials. They question what his motivations are on restoring these two into political power. To the loyalists of Arroyo and Marcos however, this serves as a realization of his word. We need capable leaders if we are to make the Philippines stand strong.

Ex-Palace Staff are for Bongbong Marcos’ Presidency

Marcos shares nostalgic memories with the ex-palace staff. Marcos surprised Pete Sacro on his 90th birthday, visiting him at his home. All his wishes are for Marcos to remain healthy and strong to fulfill his role as President in the future. With all the excitement on the changes in the government positions, the ex-staff shows their support to Marcos.

Bongbong Marcos: Sister Imee has Great Chances to be Senator with Du30’s Support

Senator

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Bongbong Marcos said in an interview that sister, Imee is already roaming around the country to feel through her chances of becoming a Senator. He also adds that with the support of the President, she would immediately garner a percentage of votes from Du30’s avid followers. He’s sure that Governor Imee Marcos also feels the same way as him as an endorsee of a popular leader.

[VIDEO]: Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos remains firm in his decision not to run as a Senator in the 2019 elections but said his sister, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, might join the Senate race.

Holding on to the Protest

He said that to run for Senator himself would affect his electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo. The recount is still ongoing that pertains to his case before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

The protest is Taking a Long Time

The vote recount for the poll protest between Marcos and Robredo officially starts last April 2. That was after 2 years of waiting. Marcos said that it is not fair to let the people wait that long on disclosing if there’s really cheating, how it was done, and against or by whom.

The outcome of Electoral Protest Uncertainty

Imee is now on his last term as Ilocos Norte governor. Her plan to run for Senator results from the uncertainty of the electoral protest. Imee earlier said that the uncertainty of her brother makes their family ponder about sending another Marcos to run for a national position. This time, it is her who is likely to do that. Although in the interview her brother hints on the younger Marcoses to follow suit.

The President’s Endorsement of Gov. Imee

President Rodrigo Du30’s endorsement of Imee, should she decide to run, would be “a big factor.” The Filipino leader is a good friend of the Marcoses and has publicly said that Imee is one of the few politicians who support his quest to be president.
