Rappler Blasted by Blogger for Out of Tune Bongbong Marcos News etc.

blogger

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Sass Rogando Sasot, a mere blogger blasts Rappler even before it’s license was revoked. She cites some evidence of the debunked Media’s biased news especially the one submitted to Bloomberg. Plus its connivance with VP Leni Robredo versus Bongbong Marcos’ online supporters. It also claims anew that it is trending in the Philippines with only 17,000 tweets. A clear indication that they do not have the proper online tools to monitor data. The SEC’s kill order revoking its license to operate is the first of its kind in history – both for the Commission and for Philippine media, it said. It’s CEO, Maria Ressa accuses President Du30 of silencing government-critical media like them.

Media Licence Revoked

The decision of the Securities and Exchange Commission or SEC to revoke Rappler’s registration is for violating the Constitution as per the record. There are words of support from their supporter via social media but it failed to monitor the other side of the fence how happy they are for the good riddance.

Constitutional Violation

In SEC’s order, it focused on the company’s Philippine Depositary Receipts or PDR from Omidyar Network. It says that it violates constitutional restrictions on ownership and control of mass media entities. Under the constitution, Filipinos must own a majority of the company’s share. Besides, the online publication behaves like a blogger and not as a media entity that must be in neutral position. They should not be taking the side of Robredo and must not openly support her trolls in counteracting the popularity of Bongbong Marcos using baseless accusations like the alleged ill-gotten wealth, fake diploma, and anti-Sandro Marcos statements.

Netizen’s Support?

Rappler also said that netizens condemn such action of the government saying that it is a blatant effort to silence the press for its critical reporting against them. As a proof, they quoted LaddadOfficial, Little Red Shoes, and Althea Again’s comments that are obviously fake accounts which posted pro-Liberal Party sentiments. Social media users can only be credible if their real identity is not hidden. Maybe, Rappler also has no clue on that.

Social Media Democracy Marks Bongbong Marcos’ VP Recount Victory

democracy

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Social media like Facebook are democracy in their purest form. Whatever is popular wins over there. This is contrary to the report of Rappler CEO, Maria Ressa. These platforms are not newsmakers but mediums for public opinions. Popular topics go viral because of major interests by the people. Mainstream media simply have a different system. If VP Leni Robredo’s Camp cannot topple Bongbong Marcos online despite their many trolls and fake news, he is, therefore, the real winner for the post. The recount on his electoral protest against Robredo is in February 2018.

Like and Share Functionality

Facebook has no liability over the spread of “fake news” because it does not produce them. Users spread them by clicking on the “Like” and “Share” buttons of the platform. This proves to show that such sentiments are from real people. One tends to share a favorable news from a friend.

Liberals’ Undermining Democracy

Liberals like Ressa and their media counterparts locally and in the United States are famous for blaming others for their own doings. VP Leni Robredo always refers to the alleged trolls and fake news of Bongbong Marcos whenever she suffers low ratings. However, she and Ressa never question Silent No More that favors them. They attack the majority who are against them. This is not a democracy.

Du30’s Endorsement Helped Bongbong Marcos

President Rodrigo Du30 did not win because of social media propaganda. His approval rating is still high after almost two years in power. That is not achievable if his popularity is based on lies. In fact, his endorsement of Bongbong Marcos as his successor makes the latter as the preferred VP. He is likely to win the recount for his electoral protest against Robredo if Facebook data is consistent with his number of votes.

Why Do Commercial Media Report on Ferdinand Marcos’ Legacy Fakers, NOT on its Realities?

legacy

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Some commercial media publications are quick enough to report on December 8 that Edilberto del Carmen uses the alias Angel Ferdinand Marcos to pretend as the son of the late Ferdinand Marcos. He was arrested following a warrant by Judge Ana Marie Joson-Viterbo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 24, according to Chief Insp. Rommel Labalan, CIDG Pampanga chief. On the other hand, there’s hardly any mention of Bongbong Marcos’ efforts with former Tacloban Mayor Alfred Romualdez during the  Marawi City visit last December 4, 2017. Are Marcos fakers more newsworthy for these press channels than the real namesake who continued his public service legacy?

The Marcoses in the Eyes of Former Staff

People who have the chance to be up close and personal with the Marcoses can only praise them. There’s no such thing as perfect life. However, the admirable qualities of the former first couple are just so distinct that they are impossible to forget. As per the video testimony, ex-First Lady Imelda Marcos is like a live wire. She loves to work until the wee hours and entertain people during the day. The late President Marcos also has no tolerance for stupidity. These descriptions alone are quite in contrast with what most mainstream media try to portray as far as the Marcoses are concerned.

The Recent Faker who Got Media’s Attention

Edilberto del Carmen who transacts business using the name Angel Ferdinand Marcos is the alleged leader of the Del Carmen Criminal Group. It is “involved in fraud scam and illegal possession of firearms.”

Disowned by Bongbong Marcos

Bongbong Marcos disowns Del Carmen. He calls him “bogus” in a previous interview. The real namesake also said that they have nothing to do with the UPLB scam that uses his father’s legacy to gather thousands of people hoping to get a piece of the alleged gold inheritance. It is just suspicious that both of these fakers got the headlines of the traditional media.

Snubbed by Most Mainstream Media

People can only wonder about the quality of journalism in the country. Fake news on the Marcoses seems like a priority in newsprint spaces and even on air time. Substantial news on Bongbong Marcos or his sister doing great things for the country is often ignored. Good thing that social media practitioners supplement the lack of good judgment by mainstream journalists.

Joma Sison Like Robredo Accuses Bongbong Marcos, Du30 of Fake News

news

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Communist Party of the Philippines founder Joma Sison said that he is always a target of Bongbong Marcos’ trolls. While in exile, he discloses that he does not pay any attention to those alleged fake news. The allegations that he is very wealthy abroad and that Ninoy Aquino and he masterminded the Plaza Miranda grenade bombing in 1971 are obviously false, Sison added.

Fake News?

Sison takes his latest arrest pronouncement in the Netherlands over alleged murder charges back home as another fake news. He attributed it this time to President Duterte’s troll army. He retaliates by calling the President the worst kind of terrorist who even surpasses the alleged dictatorship of the late President Ferdinand Marcos.

Target of Bongbong Marcos

The CPP founder complains that he has long been a target of Bongbong Marcos’ troll army. He said that the two bogus news websites which reported his so-called arrest by Dutch operatives for his alleged involvement in the assassination of three communist leaders in the Philippines in 2003 and 2006 are a mere rehash of his arrest by Dutch policemen in 2007.

Social Media Trolls

Sison admits that fake news in social media is effective in the short term. However, it won’t last long. “If there are truth teams in the central and chapters of patriotic and democratic organizations, they can easily answer and defeat this paid Marcos and Duterte trolls in e-warfare,” he said.

LP Link

Sison went into self-exile in The Netherlands after the 1986 Edsa People Power Revolution. It ousted Bongbong Marcos’ father. The Liberal Party specifically the Aquinos benefitted from the revolt that Former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile calls a mutiny. The Aquino patriarch, Ninoy Aquino was the brain in the merger of the CPP-NPA that Du30 now officially declares as terrorist groups. If they are not connected, why does Sison talks similarly to Marcos’ VP rival, Leni Robredo whom he challenges in an election protest?

Bongbong Marcos: Take Advantage of Globalization, Don’t Suffer from It

Globalization

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Bongbong Marcos once said: Internet is not just for social media, it’s crucial for business. It is not only for kids on Facebook and Twitter. The amount of commerce it generates now surpasses traditional trades five years ago. The former Senator explained this while he is on a hot seat even before the President expresses his worry about the negative effects of globalization on 3rd world countries like the Philippines.

Reversing the Negative Effects of Globalization

President Rodrigo Du30 laments on the damage caused by globalization on poor economies such as the Philippines and urged Asian countries to take remedial steps to end their exploitation. To reverse the brain drain, he stresses on the need for “remedial measures.” This should be tackled by other Asian countries, he added.

Economic Migration

“Globalization, by itself, is the deprivation of some, those that we call ‘left behind’. There have to be some remedial measures. It includes one democratic movement. Some of the bright boys in one country are really exploited to go to another country,” the President said.

.

Foreign Remittances

More than 10 million Filipinos work overseas, around 10 percent of the population, remit billions of dollars back to the country each year. “All the plumbers, all the electricians, they have the masters certificate of a trade, are in the Middle East. It is actually not so bad for the nation’s economy. The downside is when a there’s a boom in real estate. It has yet to find the capable workers. And that leaves us behind because then you have to scrape the bottom to find out who can work with us. These are the effects of globalization,” Du30 said.

Take Advantage of Globalization

Globalization and the rules of trade are hot topics in Vietnam this week. It is where world leaders including the US President, China’s Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin are set to converge from Friday for the APEC summit. The American leader also complained that globalization sends American manufacturing jobs to cheaper countries such as China. This is in spite of his country’s first world status. As these exchanges happen, Bongbong Marcos was right that the talents of Filipinos are rewarded through online jobs. Almost all office tasks can be outsourced to the Philippines through the BPO industries. The Call Center sector also continues to grow. English trainers and business consultants are also surging high. Most of all, Google that has the online trade monopoly rely on Filipino writers, website developers, and video makers to further expand the number of their advertising platforms.
