Bongbong Marcos Supporters Laugh at P66M is from Tobacco Social Media Post

social media

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Some Leni Robredo’s supporters already freak out now that the Supreme Court fast-tracks Bongbong Marcos’ electoral protest. Some of their social media posts ridiculously claim that the money used to pay the 66M recount fee is from the tobacco excise tax that has put the Ilocos 6 in detention to implicate Governor Imee Marcos.

Youtube video by; News5Everywhere
[VIDEO]: Kasama natin ang News5 court reporter JV Arcena para himayin ang mga nangyari sa preliminary conference para sa electoral protest ni dating Senador Bongbong Marcos laban kay VP Robredo.

Social Media Stunts Failed

Robredo is also bashed via social media for not attending the recent Preliminary Conference where a multitude of Marcos’ supporters gathered even from the night before the event. There are posts that tried to justify her no-show action that she was in Bicol to renew her driver’s license.

The Trolls

The trolls that accused Marcos on the alleged tobacco excise usage to pay for the protest are called idiots by his defenders for even thinking that the money spent for the farmers’ vehicles in 2012 is re-channelled in advance for the 2017 recount fee. As if Marcos can guess that he will be cheated in the 2016 election.

Brotherly Advice

Marcos won’t comment anymore on the Congress’ threat to him for the advice he gave to his sister. He does not want her to attend the July 25 hearing. Harrold Toledana of the 31,000-strong BBM Youth and Roberto dela Cerna, leader of the Katipunan ng Pilipinong Makabayan and KAbataan SAndigan at Gabay ng Pilipino Inc., said that the House probe is a hogwash. It is just for pure politicking. They believe that any statement by Gov. Marcos before the House will not matter to lawmakers. It is because they already have a decision which is to detain her.

Gov. Marcos Need Not to Attend Hearing

Ilocos Norte players told Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos not to attend the hearing on July 25. This is the same advice given by her brother, Bongbong Marcos. Marcos supporters are aghast when the Congress publicizes the detention room prepared for Marcos. “What is the purpose of going there to attend if in the end, they will not believe what she will say and their real intention is to detain Governor Imee?” Philip Terry of BBM-POGI asks.

Manny Pacquiao Recognizes Horn’s Toughness, Importance of Australian Boxing Rematch

boxing

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Great Filipino Boxer and Senator Manny Pacquaio never have a single ill word against the victorious, Jeff Horn after their boxing fight in Brisbane. He admits the referee’s partiality, Horn’s rough style but respects the decision that made Australians admire him too. His fan base worldwide is so huge that any unfavorable verdict against him is subject to social media bashing. This is a true measure of his popularity.

Youtube video by; ABS-CBN News
[VIDEO]: Sa kabila ng ilang panawagang magretiro na, di pa rin desidido si Manny ”Pacman” Pacquiao kung tuluyan nang magpapaalam sa boxing.

Pacquiao’s Claim

It was a rough, physical fight for Pacquiao who receive much pressure from the head bangs and elbow blows of Horn. He is also correct that referee Mark Nelson did not do enough to stop Horn’s “dirty” tactics. Horn was uber-aggressive and threw elbows and forearms. He also initiated plenty of physical contact with Pacquiao. Nelson can handle it better but he did not. No warnings from him at all which is supposedly his job.

Social Media Bashing

Pacquiao has the most loyal fan base in the world. Some fans are often so blindly loyal they can’t accept that he can lose. Timothy Bradley admitted a few years ago that he almost committed suicide after the trolls and online harassment he received from Pacquiao fans. This is after his controversial win over Pacquiao in 2012. Pacquiao’s use of the phrase “set up” in the recent fight with Horn is troubling. This is why he felt the need to step in and recognizes Horn’s toughness that contributes to his victory.

Bashing Referee

That fight was called a robbery in favor of Pacquiao. The online harassment of Horn and his pregnant wife has begun. As a God-fearing man, Pacquiao cannot allow this. He knows quite well what happened to Bradley in the past. His fans would always root for him. He, therefore, made a public statement quickly – telling people that such “dirty” tactics are acceptable in boxing – for as long as the referee knows how to control it. He also explained what he meant by “set up.”

Australian Audience

Pacquiao certainly knows the importance of the Australian market for the boxing industry. The Battle of Brisbane held at Suncorp Stadium was the biggest fight ever in Australia. It was overwhelmingly profitable in terms of turnouts and sponsorships. Despite losing, Pacquiao has a guaranteed payment of $10 M vs Horn’s $ 0.5 M. The Filipino fighter also does not need to prove anything anymore. He has made a lot of money and got the respect of most boxing enthusiasts and experts. As a philanthropist, he wants to preserve the integrity of boxing and urges fans not to bash the boxers but the glitches in the process to improve any anomalous systems. He’s also looking forward to the rematch later this year.

Robredo Appeals to Fil-Ams to Help the Poor in Imelda Marcos-like Signature Gown

signature

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Leni Robredo was not appreciated by netizens when she went to Los Angeles, California to urge Fil-Ams to help poor Filipinos back home. Bashers even ridiculed the way she copied Imelda Marcos’ sense of style for her signature gown. Nevertheless, it is just a big contrast to asking for help wearing a high-society outfit similar to her arch-rival Bongbong Marcos’ mother.

Youtube video by; DU30 SOCIAL MEDIA
[VIDEO]: Vice President Leni Robredo updates in California United States together with the Filipino Bicol Community

Fundraising Gala

Vice President Leni Robredo traveled to Los Angeles, California to meet with some members of the Filipino-American community. She was a guest at the fundraising gala of the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO). It was held at the Mary Pickford Estate.

FASO not a Political Group

FASO said that the invite-only fundraising event was meant to help “sustain concerts and music education programs.” It is not a political group. What sparks criticisms on Robredo was her speech. Obviously, the event was for the elite who spare some of their money to charity. Perhaps she had a good intention to influence donors to also contribute in her alleged projects for the poor.

Malnutrition and Hunger

In her speech at the gala, the Robredo reiterated the importance of helping the country’s less fortunate. She claims that her office aims to do through its flagship program, Angat Buhay. She emphasized the need to address malnutrition and hunger. “Silent crises” as she puts it leads to 95 child deaths a day.

Marawi City Seige

She also mentioned the situation in Marawi City where the ongoing clashes between government troops and the Maute local terror group are. Relief operations for families in the evacuation sites in Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, and Marawi are organized. The VP really did have good intentions but her being anti-administration really adds up to her unpopularity that triggers bashing on social media.

Robredo Finds Social Media Irresponsible for Marawi News

social media

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

VP Leni Robredo shows her indifference with social media sentiments when she said that wrong information comes out from there regarding the Marawi incident. Many would disagree with her, because, the very first posts visible there are video footages of the actual events.

Youtube video by; Elena Grace Flores
[VIDEO]: VP Leni Robredo attacks social media anew saying that there are news about the martial law declaration in Mindanao that are not true.

Terrorism in Marawi

Leni Robredo echoes the call for authorities to conduct an investigation into the incident. She also repeats the pleas of the police for Marawi residents not to loiter or go out of their house. They are more vulnerable if they stay in groups, she said.

Terror Attacks

Houses set on fire. Terrorists take over one city jail. They bombed the National Grid Corporation Tower in Lanao del Sur. Journalists are also attacked by armed men. This is terrorism aside from rebellion which is enough reason for the president to declare martial law. The VP is, however, hesitant to agree or disagree with the leader’s decision.

Social Media Critic

Robredo is very critical of social media. This is after she fails to make it work for her. There are just too many people who hate her. They all resort to social media because they cannot rely anymore on the mainstream media. It’s like taking the matter into their own hands that she detests.

Responsible Posting

It is not certain what Robredo is referring to when she said that misinformation scatters through social media anew. Was it about Bam Aquino’s alleged visit in Marawi shortly before the incident? Can it be about the martial law declaration? Since she clarifies that there’s no official notice yet and even the PNP is still waiting for it.

depression

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

DOH spokesman Eric Tayag explains that social media is a good way to connect to people, but it also has a negative effect. It causes depression through bashing – that Leni Robredo can attest. Some users are quite affected with it thus, giving them a hard time. Vulnerable individuals must be protected, especially the adolescents.

[VIDEO]: Hinikayat ng Department of Health na agad kumonsulta sa mga doktor ang mga taong nakararanas ng depression.

Leni Robredo’s Experience

Robredo said women that become easy targets of attacks using the internet as the platform for such humiliating attacks.

Depression Help

The DOH announces that they have installed a 24-hour suicide prevention hotline called the Hopeline Project. It could also be used to assess the actual situation in the Philippines.  The DOH launched the said project in September 2016 in conjunction with the World Health Organization and the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation. This is to provide a support system for those who are prone to suicidal thoughts.

Hotline

Initially, it is noted that most of the callers suffer from depression due to failed love life.  The hotline received 3,479 calls in 2016 and 605 of the callers showed signs of depression. 496 inquired about depression and suicide. The rest of the 479 callers admitted to experiencing stress and possible depression

Know Depression

Ubial said that it is really necessary for family members to be concerned with loved ones – to ensure that help is provided to those who are depressed because they can’t help themselves. The help of a psychiatrist is needed. Those who do not seek medical help despite the symptoms are the crazy ones.

Leni Robredo Blames Black Propaganda Strategy of LP Unto Bongbong Marcos

Leni Robredo

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Leni Robredo admits that she finds it difficult to fight with Bongbong Marcos. Aside from having a very popular namesake, his social media defenders are also very active. She still claims her win in the 2016 VP race against him but retreats from the online war. She is not just at par with Marcos’ online warriors, she said.

Youtube video by; ABS-CBN News
[VIDEO]: Vice President Leni Robredo reiterated her electoral victory over former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, even as she admitted losing to the latter’s supposedly vast social media machinery.

Leni Robredo is Lost

Leni Robredo confirms that they have lost on the propaganda front. They already have a story for every move of Robredo’s camp, she said. Sometimes even before it happens, she added. This gives her the idea that the Marcoses are difficult foes. They have the capability and social media infrastructure unlike them. This is very clear then that Robredo does not have that many supporters who would fight for her causes. Marcos supporters can attest that Marcos himself does not know them. They just believe that he’s been cheated – thus bringing their cause online. Robredo indeed is a lost soul here.

Sure of Victory

Robredo said that she is certain of her triumph. She even discloses that she is not capable of cheating so it would be better for her if the electoral protest is resolved immediately. Her mandate would be more solid, she said. She added that they do not seek to delay the recount. They are only asking where their evidence is. Again Robredo tries to pretend dumb here saying something and doing another. The right time for the presentation of evidence comes as the preliminary conference is set in motion. She should know that as a lawyer.

Black Propaganda

Isn’t it the Liberal Party who is noted for black propaganda? They even give a bad meaning to propaganda these days. Instead of information dissemination, it becomes disinformation through the media. When did the word “troll” become popular through the mainstream media? It was when Robredo talks about it like she’s the mastermind of all trolls.

Email: elenagraceflores@gmail.com

Marcos Support Offline and Online

One thing that Robredo should realize that Marcos supporters are not only the millennials. They originate since the golden era days of the late president Ferdinand E. Marcos that she heavily maligned. Some of them do not even use computers. Naturally, these people would hate her as she continues to hold on to the VP seat that many Filipinos assume does not belong to her. She should help to facilitate the electoral protest immediately and not point fingers to others – when it is really her bad affiliation that puts her in a bad light.

Mocha vs Leni: Mocha Uson’s Answers to VP Leni Robredo’s War on Trolls and Misinformation

Mocha Uson

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Mocha Uson, is the sexy entertainer turned blogger who is accused of propagating misinformation and inciting hate on social media against the Liberal Party headed by Vice President Leni Robredo. She dismisses those allegations for the first time through Facebook. In her post is the invitation from the Philippine Army. She calls the yellow trolls or those who are pro-Liberal Party to watch out. She said that she provides credible sources on her blogs – that they cannot accuse them as such. Robredo also goes on a YouTube stunt by speaking on YouTube videos against the administration while Uson brings her case to Twitter as per video.

Youtube video by; Thinking Pinoy LIVE
[VIDEO]: May twitter ka na ba? Twitter party na tyo mga ka-DDS! follow niyo sila sa twitter at itweet ang #NoToYellowShit

Anti-Yellow Armies

The term “dilawan or yellows” is the tag name of Liberal Party supporters online. It is the ruling political group during the time of former President Benigno Aquino III. Mocha Uson said that if nobody believes her for saying the truth, she won’t get invited to the PHILIPPINE ARMY on their 120th Philippine Army Anniversary. Commanders and Top Generals in the entire Philippines attend the event. She is one of the guest speakers. Do you think I will be given an opportunity to speak in that even if I were a fake blogger?; she asks. She challenges her detractors that next time they call her a fake propagator, they better make sure they have something to back it up.

Social Media Fans

Social media followers of Mocha Uson are very supportive of her. They give encouraging comments on her Facebook post with around 9,000 likes and more than 1,000 shares.  Army spokesperson Col. Benjamin Hao confirms that Uson is invited to share the challenges of a social media player. Hao said there are two others social media speakers who are invited. They are Pompee La Vina, the social media director of the presidential campaign of the President; and Abe Olandres, an online entrepreneur.

Mocha Uson as Resource Speaker

Uson is now a board member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board. She is tapped as a resource speaker for this event that aims “to promote awareness for the security challenges through intellectual discussions with experts from various disciplines that affect the national security.” The 10th Senior Leaders Conference with the theme “Embracing Diversity, Building a Strong Army” happens from March 20-21 at Fort Bonifacio. It is here that Uson would answer PDu30’s detractors especially VP Robredo.

Just recently, Vice President Robredo appeals to human rights bodies to help stop extra-judicial killings allegedly by the administration. The video is for the “Human Rights Challenge: Responding to Extrajudicial Killings in the Drug War” event. It is organized by DRCNet Foundation for the 60th U.N. Commission on Narcotic Drugs annual meeting on March 16, 2017, at the Vienna International Centre. The VP vows to impose a war against trolls and misinformation on social media.

NagaLeaks’ Advantage Over Robredo’s Anti-Marcos Books

NagaLeaks

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

A lot of investments are seen in the book re-launching, revisioning, and publishing from the Liberal Party’s side headed by Vice President Leni Robredo. On the other hand, WAC’s Nagaleaks make use of modern technology for faster, effective, and timely information dissemination.

Youtube video by; News5Everywhere
[VIDEO]: Naniniwala si VP Leni Robredo na paninira lang ang ‘Naga leaks’ sa kanyang pamilya at kay dating DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo. Ulat ni Gem Avanceña.

Nagaleaks: Not to Silence but to Make Noise

We Are Collective or WAC releases what they call; The Shocking Truth behind Leni and Jesse Robredo which is only part 1 of their compilation of stories about the Robredos. It has gone viral and becomes a trending topic on social media. Robredo claims that this is not the first time it is done. They eventually do this to silence her as a government critic.

Misinformation?

The Vice President said it herself that the alleged misinformation being spread out by alleged trolls via social media are ways of expressing dissent. She has expressed her dismay that people use social media to show their sentiments. Isn’t this freedom of speech? If so, the misinformation that she is talking about is actually from the people. As a general knowledge, misinformation is without facts but WAC makes sure that all claims are backed up with facts that can be verified as attested by one of Jesse Robredo’s ex-counsellors.

Trolls

Robredo calls those who are against her online as trolls. There may be some who do not disclose their identity but many are real people online. Trolls are fictitious people on social media particularly Facebook. This is perhaps the reason why the We Are Collective page is taken out because it is created by an unverifiable account. One thing is for sure, the posting of the existence of Nagaleaks is initiated by a troll to protect the creator – but the information given are not necessarily wrong. They are leads for mainstream media to uncover since it is their job to do so.

Email: elenagraceflores@gmail.com

Advantage of Nagaleaks from Robredo’s Books

The Vice President is often in the news giving anti-Marcos and anti-Administration speeches in many book launches that she is supporting. She is actually doing the same thing as WAC. She expresses her dissent over the government for favoring Marcos through traditional means. Many travels, events, and other efforts are done just to make some news over her opinions. It takes only one campaign for WAC to express their dissent towards Robredo – but it immediately manipulated the news scenes both online and offline. Robredo’s team should learn how to take advantage of information technology next time.
