The VP is Commenting without Thinking

The VP Hits the Government on Vaccination

VP Leni Robredo is commenting without thinking. Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo describes Robredo. She may have common sense but her advisers surely provoke her to criticize the government. As the symbol of the opposition, she can do so but the least she can do is to understand the issue. Then, put sense into her comments. She also underestimated Bongbong Marcos and his supporters. Despite her favorable ruling from the Supreme Court, she obviously did not find any peace yet.

The VP Must Help in Educating People

Instead of a senseless question about why the target vaccination completion is 2023, the VP must lead the opposition in educating the people. The aim is to build confidence in them to finally take the vaccine. The pandemic can only be over if the majority are already immune to the Corona Virus.

Bongbong Marcos will Definitely Prepare

Whether she likes it or not, Bongbong Marcos is sure to prepare for the elections in 2022. Her advice is not necessary at all. Any candidate would surely do this as the basic task. Besides, Marcos is just in the wait-and-see mood as far as the electoral protest is concerned. She should just be happy for her victory and stop underestimating the Marcos supporters.

Tourism Spots Before and After

Return to Tourism | Bongbong Marcos
The gradual opening of local tourism will pave the way for this immense industry to recover, said Bongbong Marcos. The 3.7 Trillion pesos revenues last year is incomparable this year. Tourist arrivals of 4,852,107 as of July 2019 decreases to only 1,300,000 until July 2020. Out of the total amount,3.1 Trillion pesos were from domestic tourism. Therefore, it is best to restart this industry by allowing internal travel. Marcos’ suggestion comes with inspiring stories instead of the criticisms from the presumptive VP on the Manila Bay and Boracay issues.

Tourism Bubble

Bubbles of safety are places that are recognized as low-risk destinations when it comes to the Coronavirus infection. The government plans to slowly allow travel to safer tourism spots. This concept is also ongoing in other countries. Marcos hopes that in the near future, international travel bubbles will also be available for Filipino travelers and vice versa. This can slowly but surely trigger the resumption of international tourism.

Helping the Economy

When it’s true that a VP is like a spare tire once the President becomes incapacitated, he or she can always inspire people to help themselves during times of difficulties. Questioning and attacking the administration one serves will just make a VP incompetent. Urging people to travel when it’s safe can very well help the economy. The Philippines may have lost the VP they deserve but one thing is for sure, he is coming back with a vengeance in 2022.

Roque: Robredo, opposition disregarding Palace’s effort vs COVID-19

Open Eyes and Ears

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque says that the sitting VP Leni Robredo turns a blind eye on all of the current administration’s efforts and achievements to combat COVID-19. It even gets worst when her lawyer butts in to say that they must listen to medical practitioners. That proves to show that Robredo’s camp is an alien to the nation’s situation. They seem to not hear or see the measures taken. This leads Filipinos to think; what if she becomes president?

Duterte will Finish his Term

There are two reasons why the VP on protest won’t be president. In the event of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s incapacity or death to lead the country, she is unfit to assume the post because of the pending electoral protest against her by the favorite bet, Bongbong Marcos. The Supreme court will be under pressure to make a decision in that regard. That would divide the nation regardless of the outcome. In the meantime, Duterte vows to finish his term.

The Senate President and the Speaker of the House

Should the next in line is not qualified yet, the Senate President and the Speaker of the House are next. Allan Peter Cayetano is jointly the Senate President with Lord Velasco. Cayetano claims that he has the supermajority support while Velasco said that he has the number. Note that it’s the President’s son who triggers to stop the term-sharing who is in dispute with Cayetano despite the palace’s being mum about it. One can only analyze the trend.
