She was young, fit and very determined Aquathon athlete ready to garner medals for Indonesia during the recent Ocean Adventure event held at the Camayan Beach Resort in Olongapo City, Philippines. Her name is Delisa Sweania Betzeba and she introduced herself as Nia. She is very appreciative to her sponsor, Daniel Chieppa, a French Rotarian who is married to a Balinese and a resident of Bali.
Come to think of it, Nia’s potential and talents may be put to waste – without the kind efforts of Daniel. He heard of her needs to go to the Philippines for the event through a fellow Rotarian. He spearheaded the fundraising for her and no doubt contributed not only majority of the expenses but also his time. The intention to help others is what makes Daniel going strong during his senior years – apart from being a well-respected Yoga master who owns Serenity Eco Guesthouse & Yoga Retreat House 150 meters from Canggu Beach in Bali, Indonesia.
Winning or Losing in the event does not matter much anymore. Nia’s dream to compete in the sports (swimming and running) that she loves internationally is already one of the greatest achievements of her life. Nia’s smile is even sweeter after this event. It is quite a joy being a witness of how to make an innocent girl’s dream come true! This happy development is due mainly to Daniel’s belief that if you already have a full plate, share the rest.
Various health campaigns have been launched educating the public about the benefits of meditating. This is a very effective practice in maintaining a healthy life without spending much money. People needs to be motivated when doing things. So, if you will be a loner when practicing meditation stuff – then, you’ll get bored in due time. It is best to join a group that does this regularly. You can even organize by inviting your friends to join with the help of a facilitator. Having a meditation instructor is good because he or she can correct participants when the procedure is not done properly and the attendees will be inspired to do it well same as their peers also!
