The Attorney First Lady
Attorney Liza Araneta Marcos is the first every lawyer first lady of the Philippines. The wife of president-elect Bongbong Marcos works away from the limelight. She’s practicing her profession through their own law firm with other partners. This is aside from being a professor of law in a state university.
Personal Ties
Born on Aug. 21, 1959, the Attorney first lady of the Philippines is the daughter of Filipino Basketball Olympian Manuel Araneta, Jr. Her father is a distant relative of Jody Araneta Roxas, the mother of former Senator Mar Roxas. Director Paul Soriano is her cousin, the husband of Toni Gonzaga.
Professional Credentials
She is a product of Ateneo Law School. Studied criminal procedures in NY University. She is also a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and New York State Bar Association. She still teaches law at Mariano Marcos State University. Attorney Marcos is a founding partner of MOST, Marcos, Ochoa, Serafio, and Tan Law office.
