Type B Influenza or Haemophilus Influenzae

Type B Influenza or Haemophilus Influenzae is caused by bacteria with flu-like symptoms from the start with high possibility to lead to death due to brain damage. The bacteria can dwell on the throat and nose of both children and adults.

A more dignified identification of Haemophilus Influenzae is the inflammation of the coverings of the spinal column and brain popularly called meningitis. Infection of the blood or bacteremia and infection of the lungs or pneumonia plus infection of the joints or and septic arthritis are also clear indications of the condition. There are people who are carrier of the bacteria but are not affected in any way. However, they can infect other people just the same.

Like any other flu, another person can catch the bacteria from simple coughing and sneezing of the sick person. The Hib vaccine is used for prevention.
