Kanon: Fil-Japan Friendship Cat Instrumental to the “Gift”

friendship
By: Elena Grace Flores

Kanon, a 12-year-old Japanese mix-colored Carico or Caracal cat becomes instrumental in the advocacy of two cat lovers from Japan and the Philippines. The feline is a large, rufous-fawn creature with tufted black ears. It has creamy underbelly with faded brownish spots and long legs. The face has exquisite markings on top of those features. Wellness and Purina brands are its favorites. The conversations of both always include some drastic stunts because Kanon just likes to leap to catch its owner’s attention. Understanding such behavior is the beginning of a destined friendship. z

[VIDEO]: CAT CAFE IN JAPAN.

Friendship Cat

Originally, caracals are among the most beautiful of wild cats. They dwell in India and Southeast Asia. Desert regions and wild forests are not for them. That’s why they can become domestic pets easily. Even its interference during Skype conversations is quite obvious in both cultures. It sure knows how to make a scene. However, like the kind-hearted owner, it can be pacified almost instantly.

Abandoned Too Soon

One night, the alerting noises did not come from Kanon. The tiny tingling meowing was hard to ignore. The somewhat annoying sound reaches Tokyo live from Manila. The Japanese cat can’t just settle down sensing that the owner is a little disturbed. It turns out that a two-week-old kitten was helplessly abandoned right at the garage. Worst, it’s not yet weaned.

The “Gift” of Friendship

The new kitten, “Gift” is very fragile. It just got lucky because the Japanese cat rescuer and carer knew exactly what to do. All instructions that very night was carried out in the Philippines with her detailed instructions.

The Nurturing Package

The co-parenting from both countries goes on with a nutritious package sent from Japan. Most stray Philippine cats do not usually have this privilege. Ideas sprout like mushrooms. Breeding beautiful felines can actually cost a substantial amount of money. However, better do it right from the start if they nurtured for a sustainable concept.

Can a Cat Cafe Thrive in the Philippines?

Days went by and “Gift” becomes an active kitten with a little sense of entitlement. Very demanding little creature sometimes. The good part is that at a very early time, it is definitely a joy. Someone to talk to when things are not turning to one’s favor and a child’s delight during tantrums. These therapeutic incidents can really make a cat cafe in the Philippines worthwhile to both humans and the highly neglected animals. They can be nurtured to their highest potential and in return, they can heal people. Though the setting must be an upmarket one. Just because people who are willing to pay for the experience are the well-to-do. Therefore, a decent, cozy, and captivating venue is a must. Definitely, it is something to dig deeper for.

A Two-Week Old Abandoned Kitten Survives with Live Tips from Japan

stray cats
By: Elena Grace Flores

Our village is not new to the problems caused by stray cats. This is also a very common dilemma in many Filipino communities. The local government can only catch and liquidate these poor animals when they become a nuisance due to human negligence. Cat lovers can only wish that there are animal rights group that would spearhead in rescuing these lovely creatures. When criticisms abound in my area for feeding and nurturing these cats, connections from Japan allow this advocacy to continue. The goal is to manage stray cats by neutering them to limit their population. Then prepare them for a possible sustainable cat cafe project. z

[VIDEO]: Stimulating the kitten to trigger peeing.

Cat Population Control

It costs around 50 to $100 for neutering just one cat. This is a substantial amount for most average Filipinos with only about $10 daily wage. This can be manageable for domestic pet cats. However, it would be very hard for the masses to draw money from their pockets for stray cats. Therefore it is crucial for the Stray Cats Management Project to build connections with animal welfare groups here and abroad.

Limited Beginning

The project maintains the feeding and garage-lodging arrangements with these animals at a minimal level for 3 years. As a normal practice, when a cat gives birth to numerous kittens, they are taken to homes that are willing to adopt them. This is not the best way because cats end up homeless again after a while. They are seen in the security house posts and abandoned lots – if not killed by people with different perspectives. They just frequent to our place when they need food. The span of time allows many learnings on how to take care of them in the most sustainable way. On the night of Feb 18, 2019, a cry was heard in the night. It was a two-week-old kitten with eyes still closed.

Stray Cat Care Straight from Japan

“Gift” as the new kitten is called arrives exactly on the night of the founder’s (yours truly) big 5-0 or 50th birthday. Like a baby, she cries when she needs something. The only difference is, she needs to be stimulated to be able to pee. This prompts my Japanese mentor to send a YouTube video showing how it should be done. On top of that, she also sends specialized milk and nutritious cat foods straight from Japan.

Life-long Commitment

I have known that caring for such helpless kittens needs a lifetime commitment. It is awe-inspiring that a Japanese cat rescuer becomes a role model. She also has limited space but very knowledgeable and well-connected. This prompts the allegiance of making this advocacy, not just a reality because it is already is – but to expand this campaign into greater heights.

The Sanctuary, Cafe and Hotel Dream for Stray Cats

The world’s ecosystem is composed not just of scavengers, predators, but also therapeutic beings. Nature can only be destroyed when men fail to consider the co-existence of other non-living and living elements. If people need to tolerate insects like termites to be in harmony with the natural balance of the earth, how much more with the compassionate creatures like stray cats? In today’s digital world when depression is rampant, cats can be a great help in therapies. That is why they need to be rescued first. Then everything would follow. Perhaps, not just to have cat cafes like in Japan but a cat hotel where people who are stressed out can help take care of them in a cozy cat hotel. That would be a very sane world when that happens.

Even the Earthquake Attests that Sabah Belongs to the Philippines

Sabah

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

The 7.3-magnitude quake that measures at a depth of 380 miles or 617 km hits the center of the Celebes Sea. It is between the Philippines and Indonesia. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre (PTWC) states that there is no tsunami threat because the earthquake is located too deep inside the earth. However, Metro Manila announces that a magnitude-6.7 earthquake manifests in Surigao City. It is also experienced in Sabah.

Youtube video by; nstonlinetv
[VIDEO]: KOTA KINABALU: Tremors were felt in the city center here and in Sandakan. That prompts city dwellers to rush out of buildings in panic.

The Quake is Experienced in Sabah

People run out of high buildings after tremors are felt in eastern Sabah. It happens after a magnitude 7.3 earthquake strikes the Celebes Sea, off the Philippines. It hit about 466km east of Semporna. Many people account that they are shaking. The tremors are also felt in various parts of the east coast. That include Sandakan and Tawau – as well as in Sabah’s state capital, Kota-Kinabalu.

Learning from Surigao Quake

PHIVOLCS Director Renato Solidum explains that the first lesson Metro Manila learns from the quake is how non-engineered buildings pose a greater danger to human life than the quake itself. During earthquakes, skyscrapers are often thought of as the biggest hazards. However, the damages on small to medium-sized buildings, outnumber large buildings in most disasters, just like in Surigao.

Casualty Estimates

Solidum estimates that 31,000 people along the West Valley Fault in Metro Manila are affected. This is when a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit there alone. It is actually higher according to JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) study. Their count is 34,000. Around 21,000 people can die as a result. This does not include nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna. Those places also lie on the West Valley Fault.

Geographically Related

Sabah and the Philippines are not only related in historical and geographical terms. Even their fault lines are connected. This somehow indicates that Sabah’s mother country is naturally the Philippines and not Malaysia as claimed by the Filipinos. The Malaysians cannot accept this fact despite their yearly lease payment. Nevertheless, this is nature’s way of keeping the Sabah issue warm for the next DILG Secretary, Bongbong Marcos.

Bongbong Marcos Agrees With Binay That BS Aquino Has Liability For Mamasapano

Mamasapano

By: Danilo Flores II

Former Vice Pres. Jejomar Binay questions the Ombudsman in their decision on why former pres. Benigno S. Aquino III is spared from the liability for the death of the SAF44. The Mamasapano massacre happens 2 years ago. Former Senator Bongbong Marcos agrees with former VP Binay’s opinions.

Youtube video by; INQUIRER.net
[VIDEO]: Senator Ferdinand “Bong-bong” Marcos Jr. said that President Benigno Aquino III is “key” in seeking the truth on the Mamasapano tragedy and that he must reveal what he knew about “Operation Exodus” and his role in the operation. Video by Aries Joseph Hegina/ INQUIRER.net

Anniversary Of Oplan Exodus

Filipinos are shocked by the “Mamasapano Massacre.” The clash between the armed rebel group and the soldiers results in the death of forty-four (44) elite police officers of the Special Action Force (SAF). It happens last January 25, 2015 at barangay Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao. No leader takes the liability for the orders that results to the unnecessary deaths. It also has a reward money in US dollars.

Who is Liable For The Mamasapano Clash?

The present administration is now raising a question. They are asking why the former pres. Benigno “PNoy” S. Aquino III  did not make any coordination with the AFP to handle the arrest of the said terrorist.

Marwan is reported to be protected by the Moro rebels in Mindanao. Accordingly, Pres. Aquino mentioned in his statement that the Special Action Force (SAF) can handle operation anywhere in the country.

Violation Of Police Chain Of Command

House of Representatives minority bloc recently conducted an investigation to determine who is liable for the anti-terrorist raid at Mamasapano that resulted to the death of the SAF 44. They found out that Benigno S. Aquino III is liable for the anti-terror operation that lead to the death of the police officers.

The reasons being laid down by the HoR is that first, he gave the stand down order to the artillery in the height of the encounter. Next is that he did not order the military to back up the SAF 44 who is pinned down at the river banks then reinforcement was too late.

The minority bloc made their findings based on the Philippine National Police(PNP) board of inquiry. It is also made in consonance to the senate report finding Benigno S. Aquino III is ultimately responsible for violating the police chain of command.

Why Pnoy almost Abolished the PCGG?

PCGG

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Immediately after the EDSA revolution, then President Cory Aquino’s first executive order is to create the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG). It is n agency that aims to chase corrupt officials, recover their loot, and implements measures to stop corruption.

Youtube video by; Elena Grace Flores
[VIDEO]: The Aquino government first executive order was to create the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).

First Objective of the PCGG

To recover the alleged ill-gotten wealth of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, his immediate family, relatives, subordinates and close associates here and abroad becomes the primary task of the PCGG.

Prevent Corruption

To conduct such investigations that pertain to graft and corruption as the President may assign to the Commission at any given time comes next to the agency’s responsibilities. The agency adopts of security means to ensure that corruption practices shall not be repeated in any case under the Aquino government. The institution installs adequate measures to prevent the occurrence of corruption.

Original Team is Gone

Jovito Salonga and Mary Concepcion Bautista who operated the original PCGG are man and woman of integrity. It is staffed by lawyers and researchers with annual budgets, that comes up with the initial resolve that leads people to think that it was, the primary agency of government tasked with returning stolen wealth.

PCGG Under Pnoy

When Pnoy becomes president in 2010, many hopes that his anticorruption platform would let the PCGG to finish its job. Yet a look at the PNOY presidency raises more questions, as its directives let PCGG left a question mark for many. PCGG falls under the supervision of the Department of Justice, the previous DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima who reportedly sought its abolition. Why would Pnoy abolish the PCGG when a lot of work still remains unfinished? Where’s the sequestered wealth?

President Rodrigo Duterte’s Political Will Mistaken for Dictatorship Just Like Marcos

President Rodrigo Duterte

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
President Rodrigo Duterte may sound firm in implementing the laws of the land but he’s not a dictator. Just like the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos, detractors call him dictator when the real authoritarian rulers are the pro-communists. In a democratic country, the rule of law must be implemented to maintain order. Now that the Philippines already has a top leader with political will, critics try to bring him down to mislead the public.

Youtube video by; Rappler
[VIDEO]: Human rights watchdog group Karapatan says the effigy depicts the ‘resurrection and rehabilitation of the Marcoses’ and concerns over the rise in extrajudicial killings.

Anti-Marcos and Duterte are Pro Liberal Party

Ferdinand E. Marcos’ 20-year rule says it all. The rising economy, effective infrastructures, quality public services and fair opportunities are just a few of his achievements. He thinks about the welfare of the Filipinos in everything that he does. Unlike in today’s politics, many politicians are defending its political party than the interest of its citizens. This is the reason why there are anti-Marcos and Duterte. They cannot accept the fact that the Liberal Party’s reign is over. They better sit tight because they really cannot handle it when Bongbong Marcos takes over.

Collateral Damage

President Duterte is not happy with regards to innocent lives being sacrificed during police operations. He is very sorry for this so-called collateral damage. It is not justifiable to have killed one in the process of saving many lives – but sometimes, such accident happens and must not be tolerated.

Filipinos Looking Up to Americans

President Duterte made a point telling people why look up to America when they cannot even solve their own problems? He cited issues with refugees, discrimination, and police abuses especially when it comes to black Americans. Why interfere with the country’s internal problem-solving process?

Phone Protection: NQ Mobile Security 2 years or NQ Mobile Security 1 year

Sovereign Country

Many Filipinos are so inclined to the colonial mentality that it made them fearful to think that Americans will not back up Filipinos anymore. To the contrary, the President has the same inquiry to the Americans as the late Marcos. They have occupied the military bases in the Philippines for many years but what good does it bring to the Filipinos?

Enrile: EDSA was Right but the People it Brought to Power are the Wrong Ones

Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Senator Juan Ponce Enrile made it clear that the EDSA revolution was the right thing to do at that time to preserve peace. The late President Ferdinand E. Marcos also complied with his suggestion by stepping down. The Aquinos were not there so they do not know what they’re saying. Only Butch Aquino was there during Martial Law.

Youtube video by; Rappler
[VIDEO]: Anti-Marcos burial protests at the People Power Monument in EDSA on Wednesday, November 30. Millennials dominate the rally alongside prominent activists during the Marcos era.

Activists Winnie Monsod and Jimmy Paredes should Shut Up

Enrile’s message to the youth who are supporting activists, Winnie Monsod and Jimmy Paredes is to shut up. They do not know what they’re saying. It was the Aquinos who are leading the country into despair. They tainted the Edsa spirit by

Anti-Marcos are Idiots

Enrile calls the anti-Marcos supporters idiots. They do not know the fact that they are still enjoying the works of the late president Marcos. They are accusing them of the wrong accusations. Corruption and negligence in governance must be directed to the Aquinos and not to the Marcoses.

Hoax Military Abuses

Military abuses may have happened but not to the extent of what the Liberal Party is portraying. Protesters better file cases first if they really have a Martial Law case than make unnecessary demonstrations that won’t help them.

The Purpose of Edsa is not Implemented

The governments after the Edsa revolution did not serve the purposed why it was staged. They should have performed better than Marcos but they are even not at par. They are noted as “palpak” or failed governments.

Enrile: Filipinos, Whatever you’re Enjoying Today are Products of Marcos during Martial Law

Martial Law

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Senator Juan Ponce Enrile was there during the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos’ era since 1966. He was vital in his administration and disclosing everything now that his life is ripe. He said that whatever Filipinos are enjoying today are the works of Marcos during the Martial Law period.

Youtube video by; Government of the Philippines
[VIDEO]: Para sa Walang Alam!Tunay na Kahulugan ng MARTIAL LAW, Isiniwalat ni Sen. Enrile!

Two Magna Cum Laude of UP Studied Martial Law

Martial Law was not proclaimed by Ferdinand E. Marcos by himself. It went into a lenghty process. It was well studied and recommended by Senator Enrile himself. It put order into the country and minimized troubles through discipline.

Enrile Instrumental in Edsa

Why would one of the main organizers of the Edsa revolution in the person of Enrile side Marcos himself? Enrile attested that even if Marcos did all the right moves, the people are in chaos over the death of Ninoy Aquino, and it was essential for the late president to step down to pacify the people.

The Liberal Party

If Enrile had an hindsight before, he will not hesitate to arrest all the Liberal Party members. He already know now that they are the culprits. During Marcos’ time, they did not know who the enemies were. Enrile’ life was also threatened many times. He did not stage an ambush. It was real!

Phone Protection: NQ Mobile Security 2 years or NQ Mobile Security 1 year

Supported by Most Filipinos

Martial Law, according to Enrile was initially supported by the majority of the Filipinos. It solved the corruption problem. Put order into the country through discipline. The lands were reformed, infrastructure projects were facilitated efficiently. It was in fact, Marcos’ self sacrifice because he has turned his back to the elite. All for the welfare of the Filipino masses.

Martial Law is not Only Marcos: Knowledgeable Filipinos know that it was Necessary

Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
All sectors of the government during the late Ferdinand E. Marcos’ time approved of the Martial Law declaration from the judiciary to the senate. Marcos’ job was only to proclaim it. It was studied and suggested by Senator Juan Ponce Enrile who was Secretary of Defense at that time. He was also the legal consultant of the late president. He agrees with what Marcos said that it was necessary because there was anarchy in the country.

Youtube video by; drei ibanez
[VIDEO]: The Hidden Truth About Martial Law in the Philippines!
Not being published by books and the TV/radio media! Watch, listen and comprehend.

Martial Law Topples Corruption by Installing an Ombudsman

Allegations of corruptions were verified by the Ombudsman. Cases were filed to those with concrete evidence. To this date, the Ombudsman still exist but many high profile cases like the alleged Binay corruption cannot stand in court due to lack of evidence. Just hearsays and mere senate dramas. The same thing with the alleged massacres during Martial Law. If there were really massacres. why don’t the victims’ families file cases when they were given free legal assistance by two Aquino governments?

Negotiation with the American Bases

Marcos never quoted a lump sum for the rental of the American bases. The late president negotiated that it should not be called US aid rather rental for the venue of the American military presence in Southeast Asia.

Land Reforms and Infrastructures

Land reforms were initiated. Agriculture and fisheries were developed. Abundant yields generate from those projects. Rice was exported that very age. The country was the leading economic tiger during Martial Law Days. Most of the infrastructures then are still enjoyed by the present generation. In fact, no new infrastructures in the country can ever surpass the greatness of those built by Marcos through the brilliance of his Secretary for Public Works and Highways, Jesus Hipolito.

Phone Protection: NQ Mobile Security 2 years or NQ Mobile Security 1 year

Martial Law was Studied Carefully by All Branches

Martial Law was not only Marcos’ doing. The cabinet discussed the matter agreed with the military. All sectors agreed that Martial Law was needed to rescue and restore the country. Enrile’s supporting EDSA was for the country to survive and save the Marcos family as well. Different things are told by people who did not really experience Martial Law. People who were arrested created trouble. If they are really victims of abuses, they should have filed cases.

Learn from Enrile on the Bongbong Marcos Take Over: Know your Enemies – see the Video who they Are!

Bongbong Marcos

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
Senator Juan Ponce Enrile who was dubbed as a Marcos traitor was actually his protector. Many Filipinos are blinded with the fact that he has never changed his heart to the strongman despite not knowing anymore who the enemies were – after Cory Aquino appointed him as one of her cabinet members. So, learning from his experience would be beneficial in knowing the real enemies of the country with or without knowing it.

Catholic Nuns and Priests

How could the Catholic church lay men and women cannot discern who is right or wrong? Why did they allow their establishment to be corrupted with the political agenda’s of the yellow race? No wonder, many Filipinos are changing religion. Others who cannot decide rather become Atheist or just study the bible themselves rather than be a part of a big cult who are interfering with the government.

Student Activists

These are the very passionate groups of anti-government factions who would even die for their misleading belief. Most of them government scholars who should have the brains to discern – but got misaligned because of the wrong influence. The Liberal Party’s strategy is giving them the limelight. Even give them credits of rallies and protests that they did not organize. They were simply there to show their talents and strong spirits without checking the full background of what they are fighting about. Parents must be vigilant in this scenario because the young minds are easily influenced especially when they get the company of these users more than their family.

Mar Roxas’ Challenge

Mar Roxas challenged President Rodrigo Duterte to stop talking too much and solve the many problems of the government instead. However, despite not winning as Vice President of Pnoy, he was still the the right hand of the former president and setting aside Binay for 6 long years. Why did they not use that length of time to solve the problems in the country?

Conflicting Opinions on Bongbong Marcos

The Inquirer recently reported a review on the possibility of Bongbong Marcos takeover, saying that there’s a slim chance. However, they forgot that it’s now the opposite side that is reigning and not the yellow race anymore. The president himself is also a lawyer knowledgeable of the law. When an entity is supported by the people and not destroyed anymore by media propaganda because of social media, it will be difficult already for the Liberal Party to do what they did with the older Marcos. Enrile is now very vocal in divulging the the culprits after feeling safe with a like-minded government!
