It is evident that when the president said in China that the country will have a new Vice President if Bongbong Marcos wins the electoral protest, he was not joking. As a law-abiding president, he does not interfere or influence government agencies to do their jobs – but one thing is obvious; Marcos is highly favored not just by the President but by most people around him.

Malacañang explains the president’s statement when he said that; there was lobby money highlights the existence of certain vested interests in the appointment of officials. This does not in any way diminish the integrity of the Commission on Appointments. The President respects the independence of the CA. He did not interfere with the confirmation process of ex-DENR Secretary, Gina Lopez shows his deference to the body.”
Justice Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre said that turning Napoles a state witness on the P10-billion pork scam is what the President wants reinvestigated to indict more. Malacañang clarified this saying: “Government is clear, that there is no policy shift on how we deal with Napoles. Neither is there an agreement forged between the Du30 administration and Napoles.” In any case, it revealed that the case was not deeply scrutinized during the Aquino administration because there are Liberal Party members that can be implicated. If so, this frees the Marcoses from corruption allegations because their accusers are actually the corrupt ones.
History Revision or Bongbong Marcos Take-Over
LP people always talk about Marcos family’s attempt to revise history. This is despite the testimonials of Enrile, Honasan, and Binay against the Aquinos. They might be players during the EDSA Revolt by they are all for Marcos. They, in fact, are the true crusaders of Bongbong Marcos’ return to the government. The partial Government’s compensation of martial law victims also revealed that the Marcos heirs already paid these claimants well in advance – but the Aquino administration delayed it. Most of all burying the late Marcos as a hero was made possible under the circumstances. The Supreme Court allowed it. We can only guess the outcome of the ongoing electoral protest filed by Bongbong Marcos against Vice President Leni Robredo.
Du30’s announcement that Año would be the next DILG chief stops speculations that the younger Marcos would take over the post. Año is the latest AFP official in the current Cabinet. He also named former AFP chief Roy Cimatu as the head of Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Other former military chiefs in the Cabinet are National Irrigation Administration head Ricardo Visaya and national security adviser Hermogenes Esperon. The president boasted this because he needs strong men to implement what’s good for the country amidst destabilization efforts. The country is not under martial law yet but Du30 seems to be getting ready for a take-over. Will it be fulfilling his campaign promise to give the presidency to Marcos?
