[VIDEO]: Ex-Priest Marcelino Tagle, Testifies at the Senate about the Marcos Wealth
Central Bank on World Bank Wealth
Many Filipinos got a delayed reaction when Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno blurts out that the Philippines’ Central Bank owns 10% of the international gold reserves. Aside from that we also have deposits in London, Diokno added. This settles down speculations on the missing portion of the World Bank wealth collected by the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos.
Overseas Gold Deposits
Gold deposits in the form of certificates are said to be deposited overseas. Ex-Priest Marcelino Tagle testifies in the senate that the Marcos gold includes the Vatican, Yamashita, and other possessions during World War 2. They are entrusted and secured by Marcos. So, it tallies with the report that those gold certificates are sanctioned by the World Bank.
For the People
Why didn’t our father tell us about this? This is the reaction of President Bongbong Marcos when he heard Tagle’s testimony. Don Enrique Zobel also testifies about the US treasury notes under the name of former President Marcos. The government at that time may not want the Filipino people to know. Even his own family did not know the extent of such wealth. This may be because they are the people’s World Bank wealth.
