Senator Richard Gordon: No More Mercy to Trillanes

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

It’s about time that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV be made aware of the people’s pulse regarding his behavior in the Senate. He is confident that Senator Richard Gordon cannot get at least three Senatorial signatures for his ethics complaint against him. Trillanes dares him by saying that he’s not even afraid of the President.

Carpio and Paolo Duterte’s Invitation

Trillanes wanted to invite both President Rodrigo Duterte’s son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, and son-in-law, lawyer Manases-Carpio after they were mentioned to be behind the so-called Davao Group. Carpio is the husband of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. Gordon just replied; You may do so! But Trillanes continues to make general accusations that he cannot prove.

Not a Cockpit of Gossips

Gordon told Trillanes to refrain from making general statements that he cannot prove. This is because the Senate is not a cockpit of gossips. Instead of calming down, Trillanes responded by criticizing the way Gordon handles the committee hearing. He calls it names and criticizes Senator Tito Sotto as well.

Out of Order and Tune

Senator Gordon firmly said that Senator Trillanes is out of order but he can’t stop his mouth from opening. He even thinks that most Senators are on his side. Worst, he acts like the people’s hero when most Filipinos are wondering while he’s not kicked out yet with his ungentle man approaches.

Ethics Complaint

Too bad for Trillanes, Gordon said he will pursue his ethics complaint against him. “He has done that consistently. I already forgave him the first time. He even came to my office and apologized then he did it to Mr. Zubiri. Then he was trying to do it to Cayetano, he was trying to turn off the microphone,” Gordon said.

Pro-Marcos Honasan on Top of Intelligence Committee is for National Security under PDu30

national security

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

It is not hard to guess where the government is going nowadays. Political analysts, anti-administration people talk about it. Sad to say, most loyalists of politicians cannot see it. They are more into attacking the enemies of their idols. Luckily, the country now has a strategic president. National security comes first for Du30 and senators chose a chairman for the intelligence and confidential funds committee who is a true nation builder, the pro-Marcos Senator Gringo Honasan. What does this tell Filipinos?

[VIDEO]: Honasan to Filipinos: Keep your trust in President Du30.

Intelligence Committee

Senators on approved a resolution to create a new congressional oversight panel to keep on track disbursements of millions of pesos in intelligence and confidential funds for various agencies. The Senate named six of its members to for the panel to be chaired by Sen. Gregorio B. Honasan II. Senators Panfilo M. Lacson Sr., Richard J. Gordon, Emmanuel D. Pacquiao, Paolo Benigno A. Aquino IV and Francis N. Pangilinan are the members.

Intelligence Information Needed

Honasan sponsors the measure. He explained that “in light of the recent threats to our country’s national security, that includes disturbance to peace and order by lawless elements, the importance of intelligence information by concerned government agencies cannot be ignored”.

Ultimate Function

The new Select Oversight Committee on Intelligence and Confidential Funds in the 17th Congress would “allow the Senate to continue exercising its functions over the use, disbursement, and expenditures of confidential and intelligence funds to government agencies. It provides a vigilant legislative oversight over the conduct of these activities”.

Honasan’s Call

There’s no point changing the manner of speaking of the president, Honasan said. What’s important is his genuine intention to lead the Philippines to progress. If so, there should be a good reason why he wants a Marcos back into the executive office. This is in the person of Bongbong Marcos. If the Philippine leader thinks that this is good for the country, pro and anti-Du30-Marcos must give it a chance. After all, he’s elected by over 16 million people.

Traitors in the Bloc: No One Wants to be LP Said Duterte but Gordon Unmasks Anti-Administration who are Anti-Marcos Senators

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

The Liberal Party loses so badly during the last elections. The win of the Vice President and some senators from the group is questionable. Most of their members have already transferred to the opposition. Only a few loyalists are left. President Rodrigo Duterte even announces that since the election, nobody wants to be LP anymore. Just recently, Gordon warns anti-administration senators who are also anti-Marcos to take their masks off and leave from the majority bloc.

Anti-Administration Senators Inside the Majority Bloc

Gordon is talking about Franklin Drilon, Leila De Lima, Bam Aquino, Francis Pangilinan, and Risa Hontiveros, who are all members of the Senate majority bloc. They are the solid opposition in the Senate masquerading as administration players. “They have to take their mask out,” said Gordon.

Leave Majority Bloc

Gordon thinks that they should leave the majority bloc. The five senators are in unison with the libelous Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Ralph Recto who said that Federalism is ugly. Most of them, if not all support the series of protests against the late former president Ferdinand E. Marcos’ burial at the Heroes’ Cemetery.

Oust Duterte Plan Coincides with Anti-Marcos Protests

A senator can go against the plans of the president without being an anti-administration public official. Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri explains this during his conflict with Trillanes. He said that he is against the death penalty but he is never a part of any plan to oust the president unlike the senators mentioned by Gordon in the majority bloc. The anti-Marcos senators seen in protests are the same officials speculated to be part of the plan to oust Duterte.

Reason of Robredo’s Forced Resignation from the Cabinet

The president accuses Robredo of joining anti-Duterte rallies. Then she shows up at a Cabinet meeting the next day. Robredo and the Liberal Party members deny plans to unseat the President, but Duterte is sure that the “yellow group” cannot accept defeat. It is remembered that the Fil-Am billionaire, Loida Nicolas Lewis calls on Duterte to resign because she’s disgusted that he will let Bongbong Marcos take-over if he can’t deliver his promises.

Gordon on Duterte’s US Separation: Mind his actions not his hurtful words

US separation

welcome By: Elena Grace FloresOn Duterte’s US separation, Senator Richard Gordon said; “I don’t agree with that. I think the President is wrong on that matter.” Mind his actions, not his hurtful words; he added. He’s different. He is probably just expressing disappointments but not necessarily the policy of the country. The senate has to decide on it as the constitution dictates. Maybe just balancing. On the other hand, the Americans are confused why Duterte has to cut ties when he can be friends with both countries?

Youtube video: by ODN
[VIDEO]: The Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte, announces his ‘separation’ from the US as he aligns himself with China and Russia. . Report by Lydia Batham.

US Congress Delegation

The US Congress visited Gordon’s office to seek clarification of the Duterte administration’s policies. “They are concerned with the policy. I told them not to worry and look at acts not the words,” he said.“This one is different. He is venting hurt feelings, but that doesn’t mean that’s policy,” Gordon assured the delegation.

Gordon is against US Separation

When asked about Duterte’s US separation, Gordon said; “I don’t agree with that. I think the President is wrong on that matter,”
“You don’t have to leave your old friends that have been reliable—and not be totally reliable just because you want to get a few things. That’s shortsightedness,” he explained.

Not afraid to Disagree

Gordon is one of the very few politicians who criticizes the Philippine President when his moves and display of character are wrong. He listens to explanations. Just don’t provoke him. As a friend, not an ally, and tell him, ‘boss, don’t get upset, but if you do we can’t do anything, but what you’re doing is wrong;’ the senator revealed.

America failed the Philippines

Duterte made a significant remark by saying; “I’ve realigned myself in your ideological flow and maybe I will also go to Russia to talk to President Vladimir Putin and tell him that there are three of us against the world – China, Philippines and Russia. It’s the only way. With that, in this venue, your honors, in this venue, I announce my separation from the United States,” Duterte announced this during his state visit in China.

China and the Philippines are Brothers

Xi told Duterte that China and the Philippines were brothers and they could “appropriately handle disputes”. He hinted on the South China Sea problem. “I hope we can follow the wishes of the people and use this visit as an opportunity to push China-Philippines relations back on a friendly footing and fully improve things,” Xi added.

South China Sea Issue

“The two sides agreed that they will do what they agreed five years ago, that is to pursue bilateral dialogue and consultation in seeking a proper settlement of the South China Sea issue,” Liu said.

Gordon and other Allies tell Duterte: Be a statesman by shutting your mouth up

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
At last, progress has finally come to the Philippines. This is in terms of character. Of all politicians, it’s Senator Richard Gordon who has the guts to tell the President off. You are too noisy; he said. Be a statesman for the country; he added.

[VIDEO]: Gordon had enough of the President’s bad and noisy mouth. It’s wrong to say; I’ll kill you; he said.

The President’s Controversial Mouth

Since Gordon is the President’s friend, it is just right to tell him off that his big mouth has already become controversial not just here but also abroad. Being far too noisy is unbecoming of a statesman. This is not good for the country. Gordon advises the President on national television during the extra-judicial case hearing.

Twice to say Sorry

This month alone, the President has to say sorry twice. First to the wrong information on the drugs matrix. Secondly, to the Jewish community who are offended with his Hitler comparison response. Since EU compared him to Hitler, he responded that he is happy to kill 3 million criminals like what Hitler did with the Jews during the Holocaust.

Other Allies follow Suit

More advises came from his own allies. Let’s just work. Better not talk anymore; says one. It is always good to say sorry when you realize that you did something wrong. It’s a good thing that the President is doing that.

Duty of the President to be a Statesman

Gordon reminds thePresident as well that he has the duty to be a statesman for the Philippines. Do not speak bad words to the least; he passionately said. This development is actually a positive thing. It shows that not all Filipinos tolerate the President’s bad mouth because of fear or idolatry. They are also ready to speak out when he crosses the line.

Duterte – De Lima: Nothing personal (same as Gordon), see video

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores
President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Leila de Lima might not see eye to eye with their own principles but they both know that they are just doing their work and the cross fires between them on certain issues are nothing to do with them personally. Dutertes’ warm and friendly gesture to de Lima during the SONA says it all. Watch the senator’s view on that below:

Youtube Video by: Rappler

According to Senator Dick Gordon, if there’s something to investigate about with de Lima as per Calida’s accusations while observing the increase of irregularities that happened at the Bilibid prison involving high profile drug inmates under de Lima’s watch as Department of Justice secretary then, it will likely fall on Senator Gordon’s lap – since it has something to do with graft and corruption that can be channeled through the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee that he will be manning. Again. nothing personal. Just part of the due process system.
