Robredo: Bongbong Marcos Failed to Block Aika’s Entry to Harvard

Harvard

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Leni Robredo said that the failed attempt to block Aika’s entry to Harvard has no effect on her daughter because she is already set to study there. She conversely gives hint against her bitter rival, Bongbong Marcos even without mentioning the name. Her vague comments about their alleged hidden wealth say it all.

Dragged by Controversies?

Robredo laments how political controversies drag her three daughters. She feels like her prayers are not answered to spare them from online crossfires. In fact, her detractors attempt to sabotage Aika’s admission to Harvard University. A letter that discredits the family’s capability to fund her studies at the Ivy League school was sent to Harvard.

Scholarship

Aika undergoes a masters program in public administration at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. This is on a scholarship as an Edward S. Mason Fellow.

Gala Event

The Vice President attended a gala event in Los Angeles that received lots of social media bashing from her fashion sense to her real purpose being in the US during times of troubles in the country. She also took some private time off to help her daughter settle down into Harvard University.

SALN Question

Robredo’s latest Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth is worth ₱8,878,111.43 ($177,560) as of December 31, 2016. It is down from ₱11 million a year ago. This is due to a legal challenge she is facing with arch-rival to the Vice Presidency, Bongbong Marcos. This can be the reason why she is bitter when it comes to the son of the most celebrated Philippine President, the late Ferdinand E. Marcos.
