Social Media Trend: VP Bongbong Marcos in 2018

social media

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Ferdinand Marcos Jr. or Bongbong Marcos expresses his confidence to win the legal battle against current Vice President Leni Robredo to reporters. He immediately becomes a darling of social media when he said that opinions posted on channels like Facebook, Twitter, and Google-approved websites are answered in real-time. These mediums become the outlets of the people’s voice, he added. It’s just a matter of measuring the actual data available to know the majority. To win the recount can place him a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

[VIDEO]: Handa na ang kampo ni dating Senator Bongbong Marcos para sa recount ng mga balota kaugnay sa election protest nito laban kay Vice President Leni Robredo.

The Wealth Talks

Bongbong Marcos does not deny that his family is in talks with the President, a political ally on the wealth for humanity. Du30 even advises them to seek immunity but they refuse it. Marcos said that they are willing to sign a “quit claim” deed. It would identify properties and assets it had acquired legally and relinquish its claim to whatever else the government finds. “If the government says there are hidden things, we will help them find it and you can have it,” he added.

It’s Time

“We are definitely sure that when the recount starts the true result will emerge and prove that the votes in the vice-presidential election had been incorrectly counted,” Marcos told the press. His victory serves as the family’s remarkable political comeback in the executive office. 31 years had passed after the end his father’s 20-year rule.

VP to President

His mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, 88, remains a member of the Congress. She represents the family’s stronghold in a northern Philippine province. Imee Marcos, his sister is the governor of Ilocos Norte. It is Congresswoman Marcos’ dream that her son becomes president. Perhaps this time, the Senate and the media would listen to her pleas on the wealth for humanity. This is in conjunction with the Marcos foundation and the World Bank.

Social Media Trend on the Succession

The President also openly admires the leadership style of the late President Ferdinand Marcos. He considers the Marcos clan as important political allies who help him rebuild the nation. He counts for the younger Marcos to take over the Presidency at the soonest possible time which adheres to the Philippine constitution. Firstly, it’s VP Bongbong Marcos in 2018.

Robredo Uses CHR, Ombudsman to Destroy Bongbong Marcos

Ombudsman

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Vice President Leni Robredo calls on Filipinos to respect constitutional institutions such as the Office of the Ombudsman. This goes the same to the Commission on Human Rights after criticisms are thrown against these agencies. She asks the people to rally behind these bodies. The VP defends Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales after the President warns her. Robredo’s betrayal to the administration she serves only has one reason – Bongbong Marcos.

Youtube video by; PTV
[VIDEO]: Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo on Thursday urged Filipinos to speak out and be brave amid the “polarization that’s sweeping across our country.”

Robredo’s Pleas

“We need to respect the mandates of these institutions so that they can perform the duties bestowed upon them. This is to keep the government clean and honest,” Robredo said in a statement. “In spite of the issues they face, the strong will of Filipinos (like in EDSA perhaps) is again needed. Let’s all join together in following our constitution and insist on the democratic approaches of the Ombudsman,” she said.

The President’s Warning vs the Ombudsman

Du30 earlier threatened to form a commission that would investigate the alleged anomalies of the Office of the Ombudsman after the anti-graft agency announced that it was launching a fact-finding probe into his rumored wealth announced by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. He dares the Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno to resign with him.

Attacks Against Du30 are for Marcos

The President is ready to step down anytime for as long as the country won’t go back to the rotten management of the Liberal Party. Bongbong Marcos is the only hope for the Philippines to prosper. His electoral protest against Robredo is due for the recount in November this year. The Liberal media propaganda is already in full force from the Senate to the people’s televisions that can destroy the chances of Marcos through Du30. However, it is evident that there are more social media practitioners who are sensibly pro-administration.

Upcoming Recount for Bongbong Marcos’ Protest

The priority recount is expected to be completed in December this year. The Liberal Party barely has two months to block Bongbong Marcos from the Vice Presidency. As this is happening it is obvious that the killings particularly involving minors are rising. Hatred towards the President can be felt as their surviving families blame him for the deaths regardless of who the culprits are. Such incidents are likely to sabotage the campaigns of the administration given the scenario.

Bongbong Marcos Doesn’t Tolerate Piso for Leni Donation

donation

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Former Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr. urges the Supreme Court that sits as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal or PET to stick to its junking the bid of supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo to pay for her counter-protest balance in a form of a donation.

Youtube video by; GMA Public Affairs

[VIDEO]: Vice President Leni Robredo shares the effort of the people supporting her to raise and solicit funds for her campaign. She also disclosed the final amount of her SOCE and the list of her top donors.

The VP’s Incapacity to Pay

Robredo has yet to pay the P7.439 million out of the P15.4 million required by the PET. She asks for more time to raise the amount. The tribunal granted it. Marcos said that the appeal of the Piso Para Kay Leni Movement would be “highly unprocedural.” The group must not intervene in the poll protest.

PET Rules and Jurisprudence

The former Senator cites Rule 15 of the 2010 PET Rules and jurisprudence. It emphasizes that an election protest is “strictly a contest between the defeated and the winning candidates. This is based on the grounds of electoral fraud or irregularities.” “Besides it would appear that the only purpose of the movants in intervening in the case is to provide financial assistance to the Protestee. This may be achieved by the movants without intervening in this protest,” said Marcos.

Piso Movement Donation

Marcos said the Piso Para Kay Leni Movement may donate the fund they have raised directly to Robredo “should they see fit.” “Clearly, there is no legal and factual basis to justify their intervention in this case,” the comment stated. Robredo, for her part, left the matter for the PET to decide. “This matter is best left to the wisdom and full discretion of the Honorable Tribunal,” the manifestation stated. The vice president stressed though that her supporters’ appeal was “hinged on their right to suffrage.”

Bitterness Towards PET

The Piso Para Kay Leni Movement argues that the PET Rules do not prohibit the payment of filing of fees directly by the voters. The petitioners also said they have the legal standing in the election protest being taxpayers. The payment of the balance will “achieve a just and expeditious disposition of the case.” The group criticizes the PET’s junking their petition without explaining the basis for it.

Robredo, Church: Follow what you Preach, Pray Harder

church

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Former President Noynoy Aquino, Mar Roxas, Vice President Leni Robredo and other Liberal Party members attended the inauguration of a monument to the late Sen. Jose Wright Diokno recently. This was at the Commission on Human Rights compound in Quezon City. The VP made a political statement at the end of the Holy Mass. The church seems to support Robredo’s UP chapel politicking. This is contrary to their teachings or at least to their mandate.

Youtube video by; ABS-CBN News

Robredo Rants against Martial Law Again

She spoke against Marcos whose 1972 martial law proclamation prevented the Communist Party of the Philippines. I also stopped the New People’s Army from overrunning the state. It’s just because Bongbong Marcos is contesting her vice presidency. She even ended up attacking all the other administrations that followed after Marcos. This is from Cory Aquino to her son Noynoy when she said “45 years of brutality” in her speech.

Church to Allow Freedom to Choose

The church leaders cannot and must not decide for the people how to act. The teachings say; unity in necessary things, liberty in doubtful things, and charity in all things. They must proclaim what is right and what is wrong. But the followers must decide for themselves how to pursue the right and the good.

Putting an End to Killings

Until DU30 puts an end to the killings, the scandal will not go away. However, such extra-judicial killings are ancient problems. They are part of the culture and history. The President can only speak against it and implement tough punishments. The changes must come from the people.

Prayers Work

This meant one big bold step that the Church can do is to focus on prayers. This has a profound effect on the practice of the Christian faith. It is known to have played a special role in some big events in world history. Unfaithful Christians doubt that prayer alone can never be effective without some drastic actions against authorities. The Christian way is to act by cleaning own heart and action first to have a closer relationship with the Creator. They have to be reminded that prayers can move mountains. To believe in it is the measure of great faith.

The DU30 opposition is here, not ‘yellow,’ but Church-based

Anti-Du30 and Marcos, Robredo Tries Harder to Reactivate Martial Law Propaganda

martial law

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

In the past few days, VP Leni Robredo and the so-called yellow media exert vigorous efforts to reactivate alleged Martial Law atrocities. This is for them to rekindle public sentiments that could brainwash people into turning against the government and its preferred heir, Bongbong Marcos. Nonetheless, the messages of common citizens are already becoming more popular than the bitter words of the Vice President. They should know by now that most Filipinos already know the real culprits of the country.

Youtube video by; PRRD realworld

[VIDEO]: Diego Franco, a 62 year old DSWD volunteer responded to Leni Robredo’s laments of the slow relief and recovery efforts of DSWD during the ‘bagyong’ Nina.

Yellow Media Highlights Martial Law

A known yellow media wrote: On the 45th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law, we look back at some of the bright, idealistic youth leaders whose lives were cut short under the Marcos regime. This coincides with the alleged killings that they blame the President’s drug war of being responsible for. As passionate people, killings can happen anywhere ever since time immemorial. They are just highly publicized by the government’s detractors to hopefully link them to the President’s campaigns.

Fading Popularity

The Vice President said that only a few Filipinos today have personally lived through the perceived “dark times” by the yellow cult. This was when democracy allegedly died. She added that the nation was compelled to accept its passing quietly. This is through force and fear during her recent “National Day of Protest” speech. Actually, this is not true.

The Power of Social Media

Social media sentiments can dispute this at once. People who pour in their counter-messages to Robredo mostly enjoy the massive benefits of Martial Law during the Marcos Golden Era. LP activists just try to bury them through their media propaganda. Even Robredo’s criticisms of the DSWD were answered by a volunteer worker.

Desperate Revival

Robredo and her allies must try harder to revive their accusations against the Marcoses. The time has come that the truth finally finds its way out. The lies that they spread cannot be corrected over time. Since the digital age is here now, it will not anymore take another 30 years to put everything in the right perspective.

Sept 21 Marks the Civility of the Marcoses Particularly Bongbong and Imee

civility

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

As the “yellows” get ready to oust the President of Sept. 21, Du30 calls the Commission on Human Rights Chair Chito Gascon names. This coincides with the 45th anniversary of Martial Law declaration under the Marcos regime. Since the time of the late Ferdinand Marcos, politics has been passionate and personal. Word wars are common sometimes fist fights can happen. However, the Marcos patriarch, his wife, and children maintain their civility despite the odds. They never use “below the belt” expressions to describe their enemies.

Youtube video by; Rappler
[VIDEO]: Marcos calls Robredo ‘unpatriotic’ over UN video message.

Demonized by Society

The Marcos family has been severely demonized in social media memes, rally placards, and history textbooks. This includes those written by journos who pretend to be historians. It spread through classroom lectures, speeches, training workshops for history teachers, creative works, and artistic performances. Even homilies of priests during masses also contain unfair judgments. Nevertheless, the Marcoses provide society a powerful lesson on civility in political discourse.

Example of Civility

The Marcos political dynasty, from former President Ferdinand Marcos to his wife Rep. Imelda Marcos shows civility. This continued to their more politically engaged children, former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Gov. Imee Marcos. Thus, a shining example of civility in political discourse. The third child, Irene-Marcos Araneta, is a model of dignity in silence.

Restrained Talks

Imee Marcos is always restrained when she talks about their political enemies. She did not launch a vitriolic counter-offensive even against Rep. Rudy Fariñas. She never said any demeaning word against their political enemies and critics. On the other hand, in the election controversy that surrounds the 2016 vice-presidential elections, there is no single instance that Bongbong Marcos directly accused Vice President Leni Robredo of being a cheat and a fraud – contrary to her being vocal on calling his family “thieves” with regards to the wealth for humanity.

Bad-Mouthing Saga

Meanwhile, the legislators, who strongly criticized President Du30, are part of the coalition who wants to unseat him. That would favor their LP bet, Robredo. Senators Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros and Antonio Trillanes IV and Representatives Teddy Baguilat, Tom Villarin and Gary Alejano attended its launch. They are all bad-mouthing the President and the Marcoses. Du30 retaliates but the Marcoses remain as they are.

PET Orders Recount in Bongbong Marcos’ Pilot Provinces First

pilot

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

The PET ordered the initial recount of votes in Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental first. This is to prove whether or not the rest of Marcos’ protest has merit. Bongbong Marcos said that it is about to start in November and is expected to be completed in December this year.

Youtube video by; the dutchman
[VIDEO]: Marcos names provinces for pilot manual recount of ballots.

No Witnesses for Anomalies

Marcos’ lawyer George Garcia told the Supreme Court that Marcos will no longer present witnesses. This is for the annulment part of his petition. It’s because their allegations of electoral fraud can best be proven through a ballot recount. Their camp no longer plans to present testimonial evidence or witnesses to support his allegations of widespread cheating. Particularly in 3 provinces where Vice President Leni Robredo won.

Marcos Drops Nullification of Votes

In his electoral protest against the Vice President, Marcos wants votes to be nullified in Basilan, Lanao del Sur, and Maguindanao. He cites the “widespread presence of terrorism, violence, threats, coercion, force, and intimidation.”

Not Abandonment of Election Fraud Protest

Atty. Garcia clarifies that; “The waiver of testimonial evidence in so far as the 3rd cause of action is concerned is not an abandonment of the electoral frauds, anomalies, and irregularities alleged in the electoral protest. These may be proven by the ballots which are ‘the best repository of the sovereign will,'” Garcia added.

Unaccounted Votes in Pilot Provinces

He also explained that the “unaccounted votes” for the position of vice president can be verified through the judicial and manual recount. This goes with the revision of election paraphernalia in 36,465 clustered precincts under 27 provinces and 5 highly urbanized cities as well.

Bongbong Marcos Camp: The Mockers of Election 2016 Must be Put Behind Bars

election

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Bongbong Marcos Camp’s spokesperson, Atty. Vic Rodriguez vows; We will not rest until the real election results come out. We will not rest until those responsible for making a mockery of our elections are put behind bars.”

Youtube video by; Rappler

[VIDEO]: The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo is alarmed over rumors saying the Philippines would “have a new VP” by early 2017.

Election Manual Recount to Proceed

“Based on the latest SC decision, the manual recount of ballots will proceed as planned. The same holds true for the annulment of the election results in Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao and Basilan. We already know that more than 14 million voters chose BBM as their VP. We also know that there are millions more out there whose votes were not counted, added Rodriguez.

Robredo’s Camp Alarmed

The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo expressed alarm over rumors that the country would “have a new VP” by early 2017. In a statement, Robredo’s spokesperson Georgina Hernandez said messages have been circulating about a supposed recount that would lead to the unseating of the Vice President.

Wrong Assumption

This recount, Hernandez said earlier, would be “without the direction of the Presidential Electoral Tribunal” or PET, which handles the election protest filed by Marcos against Robredo. However, in recent developments, PET itself rules in favor of the immediate recount. Preparations are now ongoing after it orders to retrieve ballot boxes and election paraphernalia from the identified pioneer provinces.

New VP in 2018

This rumor is likely true: “Recount of ballots from 4-5 provinces will start end of November and will finish by December, deliberations after. You can bet early next year, we have a new VP.” The estimates here are consistent with Marcos’ disclosure in an interview. This is something that most pro-Marcos, if not the general public would follow through.

Bongbong Marcos: Recount to Start Soon as the Supreme Court Orders the Retrieval of Ballots

supreme court

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Bongbong Marcos welcomes the ruling of the Supreme Court that acts as Presidential Electoral Tribunal. It denies with finality the bid of Vice President Leni Robredo to reverse its earlier ruling finding sufficiency in Marcos’ election protest. “This is already a denial of the motion for reconsideration,” Marcos’ counsel Atty. George Garcia said.

Youtube video by; What’sNowPH
[VIDEO]: The Supreme Court that acts as the PET deems that the complaint of Bongbong Marcos over cheating in last year’s VP race has presented enough merit to be reviewed. The resolution reads, “The protest is only sufficient for the tribunal to proceed. It gives the Protestant the opportunity to prove his case in accordance with the 2010 PET rules.”

Retrieval of Ballots Ordered by the Supreme Court

Garcia said they are happy with the decision. That means the election protest could begin to roll especially with the PET’s order to retrieve the ballot boxes. Other election paraphernalia in three pilot provinces to start revision and recount are also included in the retrieval process. Marcos’ three pilot provinces are; Camarines Sur, Iloilo and Negros Oriental.

Robredo’s Motion Junked

In its Aug. 29, 2017, resolution, the PET said Robredo’s motion for reconsideration failed to raise new issues that would warrant a reversal of its earlier ruling. The PET said; “finally, it is well to stress that the Motion for Reconsideration essentially restates the arguments contained in Protestee’s Verified Answer and Counter-Protest, and these have already been duly considered and passed upon by the Tribunal in the Resolution dated January 24, 2017. The Tribunal finds no cogent reason to discuss these matters any further.”

SD Cards Decryption

It also grants the motion of Marcos to decrypt and print the ballot images from the SD cards. This is for the three pilot areas in order to help the Tribunal in the prompt disposition of the protest. It also assists the Protestant to prepare for the recount proceedings and the presentation of his evidence.

Recount Can Resolve the Issue Quickly

Atty. Garcia explained that while they want the PET to look into the anomalies on the implementation of the AES, they respect its ruling. They also appreciate its effort to expedite the proceedings. Recount is soon to follow right after the retrieval process.

Bongbong Marcos is Thankful that Election Recount is SC’s Priority as per Guidelines

election

welcome By: Elena Grace Flores

Contrary to Atty. Romulo Macalintal’s media bluff, Bongbong Marcos is happy of the Supreme Court ruling. The PET has finally issued rules and guidelines in preparation for the revision of ballots in his election protest against Vice President Leni Robredo. Atty. Victor Rodriguez, the spokesperson of Marcos, welcomes the PET Resolution which finally set in motion the requirements needed. This paves the way for the revision of votes. He said that it is a step forward towards their quest for truth.

Youtube video by; News5Everywhere
[VIDEO]: Inilabas na ang guidelines ng Presidential Electoral Tribunal para sa gagawing recount ng mga boto para sa kaso ni Bongbong Marcos laban kay VP Leni Robredo.

Discussed during the Prelim

As per discussion during the preliminary conference last month, the Tribunal approves the use of the SC Gymnasium in the revision proceedings. It also added two more areas. Namely, a portion of the Fourth Floor Parking Level of the SC-Court of Appeals Multi-Purpose Building. As well as a room at the back of the Division Hearing Room.

External Coordinators

Unlike the old rule which required that the Coordinator must come from SC personnel, the Tribunal amends the said requirement. It provides Coordinators from outside the High Court. Thus, ordering the Office of the Acting Chief Administrative Officer to post the vacancies for the members of the Revision Committees. They also accept applications for the staffing complement. The Acting Clerk of the Tribunal screens the applicants for the position of Coordinators of the Revision Committee.

Election Recount Leaders

As members of the said team, the Tribunal has designated the following SC employees – Attys. Mercedes Mostajo and Linuel Alindogan of the Office of the Chief Attorney as leaders; Joy Jemima Reyes and Jeffrey Raymond Atienza of the Cash Collection and Disbursement Division as Special Disbursing Officers; and Joery Gayanan and/or any official/employee to be recommended by the Office of the Administrative Services as Chief Security Officer and/or Assistant Chief Security Officer. They will each receive a compensation of P5,000 monthly.

Macalintal Misunderstands Ruling

Atty. Macalintal in behalf of Robredo’s Camp expresses his joy upon hearing the Supreme Court ruling that it junked Marcos’ motion questioning the integrity of the 2016 election. He added by saying that this proves that Marcos is just on a fishing expedition. Perhaps, due to age, he forgets that the SC told both camps during the preliminary conference to set aside Marcos’ first course of action to allow the recount to happen immediately.
