Eddie Garcia, a Filipino actor, shares his experience with Martial Law shortly before he dies. He once said in the interview that he never experienced a nightmare during the Martial Law period. Artists can even get a curfew pass to do some shootings overnight. None of his friends were subject to the highly publicized alleged abuses. It’s because they are good, he said. Only those who are outlaws are punished. It’s that simple, Garcia stresses.

Garcia also has nothing against martial law. When there’s chaos, he’s open to it, as per his video interview. His piece of advice is to not go against the government because that’s when one will surely has a nightmare. Good people can live well for sure – just like him and his friends.

With over 600 film and television roles and a career spanning seven decades, he is widely regarded as the “greatest Filipino actor of all time”. Garcia was born on May 2, 1929. He was 51 when martial law was lifted.
Who is More Credible for Filipinos
Judging from the failure of the opposition’s Otso Diretso members to get a Senate seat, it is certain that Filipinos now wake up to the truth of martial law. This is the reason why the daughter of the late President, Imee Marcos got more than 16 million votes and ranked 8th in the Senate race. Garcia is very credible indeed.
