[VIDEO]: President Ferdinand Marcos at the UN Assembly
The President’s Claim
President Ferdinand Marcos’ claim was loud and clear at the UN Assembly. The Philippines is a friend to all and an enemy to none. He’s also confident that the country will have an upper-middle-class status by next year and a progressive one in 2040.
President Marcos urges nations to lead by example. Act now before it’s too late in the climate change arena. Don’t let the new generation ask why we have not done what we could have, he added.
Inequalities and inequities continue to challenge the world. Richer nations immediately got the vaccines. So, there’s a need to reinvigorate the world economy. Technology transfers are a must. Knowledge and intellectual chains must flow freely. He strongly stresses ending wars and urges the UN to be the global peacekeeper.
